I’m not sure how he “got away” with anything. He’s got a lot of egg on his face, and the league fined him. If I were the Jags, I would ban him from my stadium, but that’s up to them. The fan can also report it to the police, but that’s up to them and it would be pretty petty. In reality, the fact that he is so rich actually opens him up MORE to some frivolous lawsuit over a tossed beverage. This probably happens with normal fans at stadiums all the time and nothing ever comes of it and we never hear about it specifically because they are not rich public figures like Tepper.
If they threw their drink on an NFL owner something would defiantly come of it.

We need blue chip talent more than we need a particular position. You draft for need and you'll end up with a sh*t team especially if Fitts is your GM.

Perhaps at personnel decisions, but per insiders he's done a good job at the other parts of running the team offices and such and is very well liked throughout the building.
So given that knowledge, what would be the problem with committing him to those things, which also then leaves the next GM able to concentrate on personnel matters only?

The funny part is that Tepper deeply cares about what people think of him. He wants to be liked so bad.
people who want to be liked don't ever become billionaires

never gonna happen... the vast majority of NFL players are far more mature than Tepper, and all of 'em know what would happen if they crossed an owner like that.
I hope its Bryce then

they shouldn't be forced to be the first people in the org to comment, even if the comment is "no comment." it really isn't fair to them.
I would love it if one of the players was like " yeah he's a dick".

okay. let me put it another way
if he throws a drink at someone in the stands, he gets kicked out of the stadium. Because of his wealth, he is able to own a team and throw drinks at anyone he wants.
ie, he's protected from consequences
Yes, what would happen if a fan threw their drink at him? They would be banned from NFL games and probably arrested.

I don't see Tepper letting them take a QB before 2025. He has such a delicate ego and it's already badly bruised. We will have to endure another season of whatever this is.
Yep, anyone that would even suggest drafting a QB would get a drink thrown in their face.

I'm not arguing for him to keep his job. I'm arguing for everyone to keep their expectations low if he's replaced.
I don't think expectations could be any lower.

I don’t think Penix will make it to the second round.

Damn Penix throws it so effortlessly. If he’s there at 33 I would take him.

Give him until the end of year 3. If he doesn't have it by then, you can move on.
There won’t be a franchise or any fans left if they send him out there for 34 more games.

How was it 3 first round picks? They swapped 1st round picks and gave them a 1st in the next draft. If you class DJ Moore as worth a 1st it's still only two 1st rounders. I stand by my point that the majority of people wouldn't care about the trade if Stroud was here and had thrown for 4000yds and 21 TDs.
I'm glad you're not my accountant. lol

You can tell Fitts is unsurprised by the behavior of his boss. Just stands there hands In pockets like he’s waiting to catch the bus.
I'm sure he's seen much worse behind closed doors.

it was probably a panthers fan. lol
