  1. It's probably been said, and it's cute that Robbie had a good game in Week 1...

But to hell with this dude, to hell with this energy, to hell with his Rhule infected mind where winning doesn't matter. Fans will have the back of players who want to win. Robbie has never shown that. He's basically quoted Rhule verbatim with his "as long as we're getting better" bullshit last year. Robbie is part of the problem with this team and frankly I can't wait until all signs of Rhule are gone, him included. "What's that bear doing?" was a sign and not a funny joke, boys and girls.

  2. If things break the right way, sure. Going to need to take advantage of the easy schedule early and start 4-1 or 5-0 to make it happen though.

Feel like Tampa is teetering towards regression mode, Brady starts to decline behind a potentially spotty OL, and the Saints may be a 9-8 team at their best. Atlanta isn't competing for anything.

If Rhule doesn't poo the bed and CMC stays healthy, we may be in the playoffs. Unfortunately until proven otherwise, Brady is Brady and NO is consistently better so we're left hoping things break our way.

Baker should have been taking snaps with the 1s all along. They are wasting precious time  on this bs. Everyone knows he is clearly better than Sam.

This is my favorite gift Rhule is going to give us this year.  We're going to waste a couple weeks of precious snaps and time for Rhule to play BS "earn the job" football guy stuff, while Baker and Ickey (and whatever other better players) lose snaps with the starters.

Our full starting lineup will be in sync come Week 7, though!

  4. Be cautious and rest up.

Maybe a hot take (maybe not), but I honestly think our offense is about to upend the defense as to what carries us. Defense is scaring me in what is largely a thin front 7, and questionable secondary outside of Chinn. Going to NEED Horn to be a lockdown CB this year.

  5. I don't think there's any possible way we're the worst team in the league barring a full blown implosion in the locker room. Even then, we have more talent than a few teams.

But yeah, until proven otherwise (good QB play or a healthy CMC) we're a 5 win team...again.

  6. If he came essentially free and didn't mess our cap situation up that much, sure. But doubt that's going to happen.

Rather watch Darnold the first few weeks, see him poo the bed, and then toss Corral in to see what he's got. Would be nice to let Corral sit and learn, but I'm also not a fan of not seeing him for multiple games this year to see if there's anything there or not. Good chance we go into the 2023 draft with QB still as a need. If Corral can prove otherwise, let him. Would rather not go into next offseason wondering what Corral has.

I bet if Rhule is fired and Snow goes with him Wilks will be the new DC. Snow even said that he and Wilkes think alike. I think Wilkes was chosen so he can be our next DC if Snow leaves or retires. Snow isn't exactly a spring chicken.

    Ding ding ding.

Doubt Rhule wanted to hire former HCs to begin with when his seat is hot and he's rumored to have one foot out of the door anyway by his own choosing. They were probably part of a list of names given to him and he was told to hire "qualified" candidates who could replace not only him, but Snow as well. McAdoo and Wilks are the HC/DC candidates in waiting to finish out the season when Rhule inevitably gets shitcanned and Snow follows him back to college.

Wilks could be named HC tomorrow and probably have more respect in the locker room than Rhule does. McAdoo is at least a name. I'm sure Snow, and even Rhule in some capacities are well-liked...but doesn't mean they have the respect of the players as NFL coaches.

Burns is tough.  He is a great pass rusher.  But he is also way too one dimensional to be worth being paid like a great DE.

We probably will just have to do it though.  Really need some good run stopping players around him.

Yeah I'm not thrilled giving him 20+ mil but you have to. If nothing else, gotta sign him and eventually trade him to get anything close to his value. Or, he gets tossed in our inevitable draft trade up next year for a QB.

  9. Re-sign Burns, front load the deal, help our future cap out.  We used to have a ton of space next season. After restructures in the Watson push, re-signing DJ, etc., we're now over the cap for next season already.

Just because we have it, doesn't mean to spend it to improve our mediocrity.

  10. I didn't think Robby had much value, and his contract is an issue, but after Hollywood Brown nets a 1st rounder who the hell knows anymore.

If we can somehow turn Robby and a couple mid-late picks into a late 2nd or early 3rd, you take it and hope a QB falls.
