  1. I don't disagree. Tepper is the head of the problem and always will be; thus, this team will never be good, decent, mediocre or just simply bad again. No, they're destined to be historically awful for the next 20 seasons. I think it's an injustice if they don't go 0-17 at least three years in a row. Shame that son of a bitch all the time.
  2. Bump this thread after every Morgan trade, every ignorant signing, every "wow they paid to give away one of their best players again" social post from NFL pundits. Basically, bump it all the time. Let's collect all his failures here.
  3. I know it's coming. You know it's coming. Ten coaches, 10 years. We all know it's happening.
  4. This team won't win five games the rest of the decade. Not in a season, I mean they won't win five games in the next seven seasons combined. No other sports team gives up its best players for free, drafts worse, or spends more cap room to be this bad. I'd argue no sports team has ever been the worst in the world at all three, other than this one. Makes me glad I root for another team.
  5. Creating a thread for everyone to pile on the GM, since there are already plenty of them for the owner and this season's coach. I, for one, was excited about the prospect of Morgan as the GM. I was wrong; he sucks and is doing nothing but contributing to decades-long failure, with only the faint hope of the franchise folding being the light at the end of the tunnel.
  6. Well, maybe next year's GM/coach combination will be better. "Coach of the Year" used to be an award. Now it's just the job title in Charlotte.
  7. Ward would be a good pick. Morgan has no interest and Tepper wouldn't want him.
  8. The only reason a Panthers fan should have hope is maybe one of the young guys will be good enough to get traded out of here for a Day 3 pick in two years.
  9. What's crazy is that if those four players were just released outright, this team would be better off than now. It's the punchline of every sport; "At least we're not the Carolina Panthers." I seriously don't think they're going to have a record as good as 3-14 for another 9-10 years. Hopefully by then they've folded, because their existence is an embarrassment and a black eye on the Carolinas. Every day they're in business is a worse day for this state.
  10. Players given up in trades the last few years: RB Christian McCaffrey WR D.J. Moore DE Brian Burns WR Diontae Johnson Value received in return: none
  11. Four thoughts on this: 1) the real payoff hasn't happened yet; that'll be when this fifth-round pick gets cut after training camp next year, and their sixth-round pick is an All-Pro three of the next five years. 2) I was excited about Dan Morgan as GM. I was wrong. I'll admit it; Fitterer's the worst GM in NFL history and Morgan's not that bad, but he's a God-awful GM and easily No. 32 in the league. 3) This team will set the record for most consecutive seasons with the NFL's worst record, and it's going to be for at least another decade. It'll be until the mid-2030s before another team's season is worse than one of these. 4) Three of the five worst trades in NFL history have come out of Charlotte in the last three years.
  12. If the Panthers and Tepper pick first, the No. 2 and No. 3 overall picks will be in Canton in 20 years. Whoever goes No. 1 will be a coordinator at his local high school.
  13. More offensive yards or penalty yards on Sunday? More total yards of offense: +25000 More penalty yards: -500000
  14. I hope Young plays well, but the odds of Young playing well are worse than the odds of me winning the lottery. Since I don't buy lottery tickets, you can imagine the odds.
  15. I hope he does, too. But I have a better shot at winning the lottery and I haven't bought a ticket.
  16. It was a good game. No one will revoke your Man Card for saying it -- don't worry. Sunday, however, will not be a good game.
  17. The only Carolina Panther who's ever made me feel angry on a personal level is Rae Carruth. Bryce Young does not qualify.
  18. There's no "probably". Any player re-signed to a big deal here will forever be on IR by Week 2 at the absolute latest.
  19. Panthers trade headline will be the same as every Panthers game headline: Panthers lose again
  20. If he played for any other team he's in, first-ballot. But he didn't, so he's second-ballot. Prepare yourself for that. Quite possibly third.
  21. I don't think he's over it, so much as he just realized he can't do it. And yet he's still got to go out there and finish another 13-29, 92 yards, 4 INT game in a 66-0 loss.
  22. That's one step from saying Xavier Legette isn't going to pan out because his rushing numbers aren't good. In both cases, the expectation is not in line with the responsibility.
