  1. Touchdowns in 2024: Young: 21 in 12 games Stroud: 20 in 16.25 games Looks like Stroud had some catching up to do when it comes to scoring points. #learntonotice
  2. I did it because I had a hunch the people who were separating their shoulders patting themselves on the back for their opinions were in fact wrong about QBs before. Fifteen seconds of searching proved that to be the case. Again -- pointing out when the smartest people in the room have poor takes like those they disparage doesn't make me a Darnold fanatic anymore than it'd make me a Mayfield fan if I did the same thing, only a year later. That said -- Darnold's a product of what's around him being exceptional but it doesn't mean he's a bust. Brad Johnson and Nick Foles, among others, come to mind re: QBs elevated by their teams to Lombardis. I think history's proven no one could win with Matt Rhule as the HC. Steve Wilks took that same team to the brink of a division title and made it relevant for a month (the only month it's been relevant since Tepper bought the team).
  3. And yet if CJ Stroud or Drake Maye threw it, it'd be yet another reason he's the greatest thing since sliced bread. I don't mind people downplaying things a player does, as long as they're fair about it. So if someone says Young looked better because his line performed better and WRs got open, I mean, yeah. You just described Stroud's 2023. But when a young QB on another team does something like this, it's a cool, super-impressive highlight and it's evidence he's better than Young; when Young does it, well, it doesn't count because reasons, and he actually sucks. #noticing
  4. Huh? You've missed the point, my guy. I was saying that the quintet of people here who fashion themselves as the smartest people in every room espoused hot takes about players who eventually panned out, too. That was the entire focus: your own hypocrisy. I'd take any QB who could help you go 14-3. I don't give a damn about Darnold otherwise.
  5. Trust me, everyone on here would be happier if you stopped watching (and posting).
  6. "I'd rather lose with Andy Dalton than win with Bryce Young" is a stance.
  7. What happened to wanting to win this afternoon lol https://www.carolinahuddle.com/topic/267356-week-18-game-thread-cats-vs-birds/?do=findComment&comment=6633019
  8. 100-1? Gotta be a record. Well-deserved record, too.
  9. Easily the team's ROY.
  10. You're flexing because the QB of a 14-3 team had a bad game in a loss to a 15-2 team? Seriously?
  11. I mean I agree, I wouldn't go for either of those either. But he was brilliant.
  12. Team Yeah, But is on its way any second.
  13. I appreciate your effort and hate you had a rough day today as a fan.
  14. I'm hoping at midseason next year you'll be saying "yeah but we're only allowed to talk about Bryce through the lense of 12 games"
  15. Taking Richardson over Young is piping-hot.
  16. Dude, no. But he did an awesome job today and deserves props for it. He could get there with some help and more performances like this, though. Either way, we all should feel better now going into the offseason.
  17. Nobody expected Star Lotulelei to make it to the Panthers in '13. At the end of the '12 college season, every mock had him top-3.
  18. Either way, the Falcons couldn't get it done against the 2024 Panthers defense.
  19. I'm so happy right now I don't even care about the draft. Bryce Young played great, Coker played great and the Panthers knocked the Falcons out of the playoffs.
  20. Not all that wrong after looking it up. A longtime corporate PR guy and an economist with a newsletter. Awards create headlines, so it's good for their business. Always should attack the biggest industries as well, to maximize eyeballs. But yeah, Tepper should have paid for all of it (but never will/would).
  21. Fortunately, this means the Panthers and Charlotte will have the first pick in the 2025 Economic Development Draft.
