I doubt that he continues to drop to 39.
We'll see. There have been crazier things, but your doubt is well-founded. Someone may move up to get him.

But you still can't pleased all the huddle here..........
Honestly, I was thinking that yesterday. I literally thought to myself, "Half the Huddle is going to be crying and whining when we take Legette."Â
I just thought it would be at 33 or 39.Â
I could be wrong (and probably am knowing this place), but I think a better spirit will prevail tonight.

Those C and LB are RD 1 talent and hard to resist.......but my gut tell me they go for the CB4 or 5....
Kool-Aid is a legit first round talent! He could end up being the best of them after all us said and done, but he's arguably a top 3 talent at the position in this draft class.

XL doesnt have grear acceleration either. He didnt do any agility drills and his 10 yard split was 60th percentile. He is faster over long distances in a straight line though. I will give you that.
OK, I'll modify it a bit: he has great acceleration in a straight line. I don't see guys accelerating laterally however. I see them using quicks. Legette isn't currently that, but I don't see it as a big deal. You got to have a versatile receiving room.

I think we are going to double dip at WR. Maybe someone like Rice or Corley?Â
Malik Washington all the way! Watch what I'm saying.

I dont compare him to Mingo besides measurables.  Hes a little older and not as tall but I compare him more to Shenault as far as player type.
That is mostly wrong and let me tell you why. Shenault is no where in the vicinity as far as playing speed. He doesn't have near the acceleration. But...the main reason why they are different is that Shenault has poor ball tracking skills, while X has exceptional ball tracking skills, which consequently allows him to win those 50-50 balls. It also means that X is a legitimate threat down field, but Shenault is relegated to plays within five yards of the line of scrimmage. So X will be able to do what Shenault can, but Shenault can't do what X can.Â

No.
Either we give them a record breaking deal early (CmC) or we wait until the 5th year and trad them for less than their value (Burns).

Might as well save your time and switch. This is constant. I'll stay with the bums.
Not me, I'm not the one looking for something to be negative about. I like the move, and I'm going to give Morgan a fair shot to be the GM. Thus far, he hasn't given me any legit reason to complain, and neither has Tepper since he handed Morgan the reins.

I have no opinion since I couldn't care less about college football and know zilch about any player in the draft this year, but why does someone have to 'support the team and the player'? If they think it's a crap pick, call it like you see it. This team and David Tepper get no benefit of any doubt at this point.
Crystal balls are overrated.Â
If I was as negative as some Huddlers about the Panthers, I'd switch teams.

Amazing watching the huddle.go from hating legette as a Mingo clone to praising him because of a potential 5th year option.
Â
If he's good the 5th year option won't be of any value.
His real haters are still hating. Don't be fooled!
Don't you mean if he sucks, the 5th year option won't be of any value?

The only reason that Penix was not considered a top two or three talent this draft is due to his injury history. He had arguably the best season out of every QB picked ahead of him tonight. He's not as mobile as the others, but he's not exactly a statue either. He can flat out drop dimes.Â
He'll take the reins in 2026, and we're going to have some problems, so I just don't get everyone trying to clown the Falcons over the pick. They're allowing him to sit and learn. That's what you want to do.Â

Goodell ought to be ashamed of himself. He was probably high. They'll never be able to use that clip in a oromo:Â "With the 32nd pick in the 2024 NFL draft, the Carolina Panthers select Xavier Leejet..."

Wilson is probably better than Cooper. But for his injury history, he would've gone in the first.

I can't get over Canales acting like he didn't know how to pronounce his name. He was trying to throw people off the scent, especially considering that Legette told everyone that Canales told him he was going to be the pick.Â
Canales also said something like, and I'm paraphrasing, "We told that to everyone."
Legette wants to be here. That's been obvious since right after the Senior Bowl.Â

Anyone comparing Mingo and XL IMO hasn’t really watched a lot of the two.  They just aren’t comps.  XL doesn’t play like MingoÂ
I've been saying that for weeks too. That was always lazy analysis bordering on nonsensical, but I've tried to give them the benefit of being knowledgeable and sincere.

He scares me as a late bloomer, but we need all the help we can get. If he can develop his route running he could be a legit X receiver. I still want to double dipÂ
Yep. I hope we get Malik Washington, and I will be satisfied...but not before we take Payton Wilson, Sainristil or Kool-Aid (if he happens to be there).

Honestly, just stupid. 2 of AD, Ladd, and Legette were going to be there for us. Maybe all 3.
Yay if he works out but we are still having mad tunnelvision, remain poor bluffers, and still can't just go BPA. Â
Â
They are hardly the same receiver. You know as well as I do, that you go and get your guy. Ladd is good, but somewhat redundant. He also has a bit of an injury history. AD is kinda soft. There were concerns with him.

Well, I'm glad. I've been telling y'all for weeks that you get the guy with the highest upside.

Well, Legette was too damned honest. He made Canales have to lie.
I wonder if Canales will admit that his jaw dropped open when he saw X spilling the beans. It's like "Shut the f*ck up, man."
All that about telling 50 players that. And then when he asked the press corp, how to pronounce Legette's name.Â
This little clip here gives us lots of insight. X is honest to a fault, and Canales is...maybe good at gamesmanship. No harm, no foul. I love it. Â
Â
And by the way, I knew that there was literally no way that we'd NOT draft X because of his loose lips. That would've been a stupid reason indeed.
