Why do we want to talk to him. I don’t want to hear anymore lies come out of his mouth. I mean him accepting this interview pretty much means he’s coming back. I rather him just keep his fat mouth shut.

Bro I don’t even like you as a poster and I agree with everything you said. We absolutely have to fire Rhule.

I’m down for minshew. There are plenty of QBs out there that I think could get the job done for us. Think of how many good QBs want off their team right now, like Rodgers, Wilson and Watson. Then you have Minshew, you have your guys like Tyler Heincke and Kyle Allen which I think could do a decent job. There are plenty of back ups who could be a decent starter for us. Personally I don’t want us to draft a QB this year.

Yeah I’m a UNC guy but admittedly understand why so many have cooled on Howell/the other qbs. I’d be ok with trading back to the early teens and taking a Ol if that picks us up a 2nd rounder and we take some one like Carson Strong or Malik Willis. I only worry that if we do and they show promise we’ll keep Rhule even longer so I might be with you on no drafted qbs.

I think we should give Darnold another shot. I mean the interior line played like crap all year and most of the year our left tackle was also bad. You can’t expect a young QB learning a new offense to do good with the center and both guards playing horrible every game. CMC was also injured most of the year and Hubbard wasn’t that good. So we didn’t have a run game to help Darnold. I would love to see what Darnold can do with a better OC. Hell why didn’t we sign someone who could help develop Darnold?

If we’re gonna kick the can on qb down to 2023 give me a Tyrod Taylor/Minshew. I’m at all out on Sam.

Fitt's aggressive and savvy. I love his maneuvering in the draft and his "in on every deal" mentality.

He hasn't hit on every one of his FA/trade moves, no. But at least he's making moves. And in spite of what the doom and gloomers think, we really haven't given up that much to make these moves. I'm not even completely soured on Sam. Henderson could end up being a steal.

I'm fully on board with Fitt and am genuinely excited to see what he does this off-season.

I am absolutely positively completely soured on Sam but I understand why the risk/trade was made. Watching their interviews is very much so a stark contrast between an NFL guy (Fitt) and another guy trying to be an NFL guy. We’re obviously keeping Rhule but I hope Tepper and Fitt have had side conversations about a contingency plan in the almost assuredly event that Rhule underperforms again next year.

Don’t get me wrong, still support the team. But success in the last five games will only prolong Rhule’s stay, and that is not a good thing.

I’m very much so in the minority but I’d like to see how the team finishes down the stretch before canning Rhule. If we lose to Atl though all bets are off and I’m likely in the fire Rhule camp as well.

  6. I sat through Jimmy Clausen years. I think I can “suffer” having to watch Brian burns, Hasson Reddick, Cam Newton, DJ Moore, Jeremy Chinn, Stephon Gilmore, Robby Andersen etc etc. What on earth has happened to Panther Nation my goodness y’all we gotta still support our team. Even if you hate Rhule I’m still gonna ride or die for my Panthers.

Last year we were at least in most of the games we played. This go around we are getting the doors blown off after making moves to push for the playoffs. It is odd to blame the fans for reacting poorly to the mistakes and foolishness of the front office in thinking we had a team ready to compete now while sacrificing our long term resources. If you don't want to read about the team under the circumstances your best bet would be to disconnect bc it's unlikely to get any better in the short term.

I’m aware but man people are absolutely losing their grip. I’ve 80% disconnected though as you suggested. I’m only hoping acceptance of us not being very good sets in soon so every one can stop complaining and we can develop our huddle draft crushes since we’re gonna be picking high again. Until then….

Huddle is the huddle.  Football talk hasn’t changed.  More of America might be taking up message board football talk though and applying it elsewhere.

People wanted to hang me for awhile for calling James Anderson a JAG.   Swap out first names and present day it was Robby.   Same stew cooking here.   Same reactions.

Good takes, bad takes.  Huddle has always had someone to call anything you say idiotic.

No way man this place has become way….way…waaaaay more negative. Even threads that start off on football talk devolve into why the Panthers suck.

  9. Yeah man honestly it makes me not even want to post. There’s so much negativity and bad vibes about a team not expected to win anything anyways that I don’t even like getting on the huddle. There’s rarely insightful posts just complaining and worrying about things that haven’t even happened. I’m legitimately thinking about shutting my account down because it has become so incredibly unbearable.

For a long time I loved coming here because likeminded people could discuss the Panthers win or lose. Of course you have some posters who overreact to every minor inconvenience then but now it’s like you’d think we were expecting a super bowl champion and got this team. The huddle kinda sucks now man and I think that’s an extension of the fan base. We’ve become incredibly toxic and it’s a true bummer. I’m not ok with losing but even when we did we usually were chill about it not “woah is me the sky is falling and everything sucks.”

  10. If we’re keeping Rhule I hope we hire some old school NFL guys. Ones that aren’t and won’t be yes men when they see Rhule doing college stuff that simply doesn’t work in the NFL. I think one of the biggest issues on this staff is there’s a lot of yes men/guys who are used to being Rhules subordinate. I feel like Rhule…especially after this season…would likely be open to more experienced knowledge to help lean on.

FYI posting poo like this and being butthurt hurt over it is exactly why people are so annoyed with cam stans

every little thing is not something or some slight

shaq is focused on the cardinals not cam, and he’s probably annoyed cam is clearly the focus and not the game in two days

    don’t blame him

I’m a Cam Stan and I’m not looking for any and every little slight. Don’t lump us all in one group some of us are cognizant that this signing has all kinds of “what ifs” attatched.

The rational side of me knows this isn't going to work from a football perspective. But today, I don't give a damn.

This franchise owed Cam better. If nothing else, hopefully we just got rid of some bad juju and gained some karma back. I'm happy for the first time in years with this team. It's a fine football move that probably doesn't mean much at the end of the day, but it's also about time we make a "good" decision and treat the most important player in our team's history with some respect. After watching years of bad decisions and boring & hapless football...the fans get a win.

I’ll deal with rationality tomorrow I’m going to enjoy this homecoming today.
