  1. It would have been a QB draw, we both know Cam would have begged for the ball
  2. How in the hell is Aceboogie not mentioned? Am I not even infamous anymore? I been busy, need to step my game up.
  3. Slurp slurp slurp. People forget how trash we were last year. Fools gold
  4. What makes you think this is Stewart's last season? and you forgot about Tolbert. But go ahead draft. We are the panthers after all
  5. Funny how people forget that Luke wasn't drafted to play Mlb. He made the switch after Beason got hurt. The situation isn't even comparable. Now if you're going to split Gurley out at WR then by all means draft him. but most likely he'll be splitting carries. Not worth it. We have talented RBs, we need play makers at the WR position and solid tackles.
  6. Bunch of damn robots man. Allow one old man to think for him. You would think we were back to back Super Bowl champs or something. So far we've gotten worse not better
  7. It's not about how good Gurley is, it's about us already having a crowded backfield even with deangelo gone. Unless he is going to line up at WR or OT half the time it would be dumb.
  8. You can't throw to spots when you cant trust your WRs to be there.
  9. You can chill with that he's here for the next 3 years guranteed. If you have to tag a QB for two straight years, what's the chances you're going to actually agree to a deal? Cam needs to be signed soon or traded. Funny how I've been painted as the "Cam fan" but you guys act like trading Cam is a deadly sin. I'm not saying trading Cam should be the goal, you have to do whatever it takes to keep him and that includes "overpaying" another word people here don't like. But you can't allow him to walk away for nothing. That's all I'm saying. You let him walk away and get nothing, it's a 10 year loss.
  10. Pay attention to the conversation, we were talking about Andrew Luck's father.
  11. I'm talking to about the sources Jonathan Jones referred to in his article. I never said "sources say he wants out" I said sources say the goal is for him to win here. And when I say win I don't mean 7-9
  12. Because paying a guy 20 million to play for you when he doesn't want to is a great investment
  13. I'm going to attempt to reach some middle ground with you. Most of the time in those situations, the tag is just an extension of the negotiations. Players don't just get tagged to trap players in a situation they don't want to be in. I agree that the goal is to keep Cam at all costs, but you can't get blindsided. I'd rather trade Cam than tag him and let him walk after a deal can't be reached.
  14. One of Cam's biggest mentors is Michael Jordan, who didn't make his money through contracts. He made it with endorsements, that came from winning. Tiger Woods is still the highest paid player in golf and he sucks, but he built the biggest brand in golf. How many athletes have clothing lines? Cam is about his brand
  15. I'm not saying don't tag Cam. I am saying don't tag Cam if he's going to walk anyway. You have to lock him down so it doesn't come to the tag. If you have to tag your QB its not a good sign. You guys like to point out the saints, well there you go. Only two reasons why you would have to tag Cam. He wants more money than you can afford, or he doesn't want to play here. Neither are good.
  16. I'd tell you that his father is a liar, and a smart man. Whatever helps you sleep at night. Common sense ain't so common.
  17. What did tagging Hardy do for us? Didn't you disagree with the move? Probably because you actually agree that tagging a player that will be gone the following year is a dumb way to spend cap space. funny how you agree with me and don't even realize it.
  18. I haven't personally talked to Cam and thats all I'm going to say about that. So know you don't have to take what I'm saying as facts. Call it theories, projections, whatever. I can tell you that Cam wants to be here because he's built his brand here, he wants to be that guy that brings a Super Bowl to charlotte. That's the competitor in him. But Cam wants to be an iconic sports figure. That's his number one goal, and he knows it takes Super Bowls to ge there. He's not chasing contractual money, he wants the type of money that's going to keep coming long after he's done playing football. And he can only get that by winning consistently. So you can write it down, screenshot it, whatever you want to do. If Cameron Newton does not feel like he can win here, he is going to leave. No amount of money will keep him. I went a little strong in saying he will leave, but don't think its not an option at this point. And Andrew Luck absolutely dodged the panthers, come on bro you know that. We declared him out pick and he went back to school. He risked getting drafted by the Browns, or the Raiders. That's how bad he didn't want to play here.
  19. Don't trust the sources close to Cam? You're thinking like a Panthers fan. Think like Cam
  20. Ask Dan Gilbert if he ever thought Lebron was going to leave. If Cam wasn't at least considering leaving, they'd be working hard on a deal right now. The Panthers made an initial offer of a long-term contract to Newton before last season, although those negotiations did not progress far. Read more here: http://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nfl/carolina-panthers/article10900505.html#storylink=cpy "The goal is for Cam to win in Charlotte,” one person close to Newton said. “If it was only about money and stats, he’d be more critical and animated about what’s happening. Everyone sees what’s on the field. He’s talking about how he has to be better.” "There have been questions inside and outside the organization about Gettleman’s offseason handling of the offensive line and whether Newton has enough in front of him to be successful." "Newton’s situation is similar in some respects to what defensive end Julius Peppers faced after the 2009 season. The Panthers were ready to make Peppers one of the highest-paid defensive players in the NFL, but Peppers resisted a long-term deal and the franchise tag in large part because he felt the team wasn’t built for success." Read more here: http://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nfl/carolina-panthers/article9235631.html#storylink=cpy So yes he wants to be here, but only if he feels like he can win here. Andrew Luck didn't.
