  1. Derrick Brown showing he should have been a 4/5 tech DE in a 34/35 powering inside to the B gap the entire time he has been in the NFL
  2. Every receiver needs to be acrobats like Jerry Rice, Randy Moss or Cris Carter to come back & battle for these poorly under thrown & back shoulder throws
  3. At least you got to watch Archie Manning, Doug Williams, Steve Young & Vinny Testaverde. Hebert & DeBerg were better to watch than this QB. Steve Young & Bobby Hebert were better first year QBs coming out of the USFL
  4. If we wanted a QB to run & struggled throwing, why did we need to trade away the franchise for Young?
  5. That mistake from special teams will get the ST coordinator fired instantly
  6. Bryce Young with the great back shoulder throw on a crossing route
  7. It's almost like they're surprised when the ball hits their hands. Must not be use to catching ball in practice.
  8. Imagine Derrick Brown & Jalen Carter playing ends in a 3 man front for 1st & 2nd down... then a 2 man front on 3rd & long with Burns & Micah Parsons coming off the edges. This is why you need a competent GM who doesn't take a CB & a QB in the 1st round. I'll trade Jaycee Horn & Bryce Young for that right now with... Foles, Flacco, Dobbs, Minshew, Buechele, Rypien, Ridder, Purdy, Glass, Coan, O'Connell, DTR, McKee, or Bethel-Thompson at QB. Take your pick of any 3. You could even start Andy Dalton for this easy trade. Simple
  9. Give me 30 year old Tommy John Jake Delhomme over Bryce Young. Same production plus wins & big plays. I'll ride that Delhomme into his 40s with an NFL team over this #1 pick.
  10. Don't you need to worry about the QB being on target as a DC to be kept honest?
  11. Jaycee Horn didn't want to tackle. He just watched the pile get pushed. Business decisions
  12. Young is not NFL accurate on his deep balls. Mingo & Sullivan were NFL open. Beat their defenders down the sideline
  13. Force feeding Hubbard & Mingo with no down field passing. This is going to be a good game
  14. Panthers v Bucs late in 2008 season. They were battling for the division late in the season. DOUBLE TROUBLE (Williams & Stewart) go for 100+ each. Smith goes big with 100+ receiving. Tied going into the 4Q. Beason & Davis were the wrecking crew. The DL led by Peppers destroys with the game on the line. Monday night game that made people talk about the Panthers as SB favorites. Smith will remind you how a WR should run a route & destroy a secondary. You will see why a running game during the season is so important to division titles. Peppers will remind you why Burns is overrated. Gross will show you how a LT needs to block for a struggling QB (2 QB hits allowed). Otah will make you see what a young rookie 1st round tackle wearing 79 should play like to dominate in the run & neutralize the pass rush. The front 7 will show you how pressuring the QB quickly saves a sieve for a secondary. You will be reminded what real championship football looks like & how we've all been gaslighted by the current organization. Enjoy
  15. I pointed this out day 1 with Tepper because I was very familiar with his business practices & philosophy. He is not about winning by accumulating the best for top dollar. He wins by bidding up his competition & locking them in to financial destruction of their business over the long term. He will want to change the game & how business is done by winning teams. The roster will be built through the draft for key pieces & vet players like Thielen who can be had for bargain contracts & good production while developing the drafted players who will not be benched in favor of the vet. The biggest obstacle is finding a HC who will completely buy in to this model & not have complete power over his staff, roster, or game day plans. I don't think Tepper profits off this strategy like he did in business. The only way he makes this work is a coaching by committee approach. He must do what Al Davis did & hire his HCs from college assistants/coordinators & eventually from players of the team under the Tepper philosophy who choose to coach for his team as assistants. I'd recommend that if this is how Tepper chooses to carry out his long term plan, he should employ a partnership of a winning NFL HC & GM to run the front office. This means the former HC & GM must have a successful working relationship from the past. Jim Caldwell & Scott Fitterer combo won't get it done. You could go with a single HC with GM experience who has proven he can build a winning roster & have him take both roles. So, Tepper will need an older coach/GM who will move away from the field & into the owners box. They must have an assistant HC who is loyal to his philosophy & will elevate to HC. Also, they must marry themselves to Young while selecting their defensive leader on the field. The obvious answer is Belichick. He focuses his effort more on GM over HC while hiring Bill O'Brien to deal with a majority of the HC responsibilities. Belichick moves to front office in 2 to 3 years & O'Brien becomes HC. Young is the QB for the foreseeable future. I could see Belichick & Saban teaming up to run the front office when they leave the field soon if Tepper gets what he wants. I think this is where Tepper is taking the organization. I don't like it because I doubt Belichick's ability to spot offensive talent. I believe he lucked into Tom Brady with a member of his staff spotting him through Stan Parrish. It will be entertaining to see how this plays out. Could Belichick & Saban be future minority owners of the Carolina Panthers?
  16. Jalen Carter No trading away of CMC & DJ Moore. Would have shipped out Burns & Brown for 1st round picks. Never trading away picks for a QB. No Darnold. No Mayfield. Must be patient & build a roster that's ready for a championship QB target.
  17. Move Ekwonu to LG. Fixed. Let better pass blockers in Christensen & a rookie compete for LT. If the rookie wins, then let Christensen compete with Corbett for RG.
  18. No one player will get this right. It's time for roster building & mining for overlooked & undervalued talent. Increase the talent of competition at every level. Do not fall in love with any player. Trade down to accumulate 15 picks. Draft BPA at every position. Then aim to have a strong udfa class. Everyone can be replaced including Burns & Young. Hoping we land Kris Jenkins to compete. You know he'll be prepared for the NFL with his dad and uncle while playing under Harbaugh.
  19. Never been this bad. Even the Seifert experiment brought hope & his firing brought hope. The Gettlemagic destruction of the team over 3 years of it's highest potential was a big low, but Tepper ownership has been a massive bottoming out to NFL historic lows. Now, all I can do is enjoy building my draft lists & watching the players I projected as NFL championship success stories turn out to be among the best in the NFL. Just waiting out the storm & any sign that the Panthers are back on the championship path.
  20. The Teppers don't want an HC who has any control (including staff, roster & benching players). Any wish for an actual HC is futile. They want a roster whisperer to breathe life into what they have already built. The HC who agrees to manage the team, adopt Appaloosa culture & keeps Young, Hubbard, Mingo, Tremble & Ekwonu in place as starters gets a $50m guaranteed contract (no benching or position changes allowed). There is no championship end to this madness. The hope is Tepper is 100% right with his team building strategy & revolutionizes the game where AI runs the team. No one outside the owner has control of the team.
  21. Finding an offensive minded head coach to fit Young, Fitt/Morgan, the Teppers, Evero & Tabor? That's not how championship teams are built. That's how to build dysfunction & a losing culture. Tepper wants an OC to call an HC. This team is being built around the Teppers & there is no getting around that. May as well not have a HC at this point. Have an OC, DC & ST coach who report directly to Tepper & share HC responsibilities. The HC title is just being used as a franchise tag to keep 1 coach from being hired away if they're successful.
