Texans defense is getting in Lamar's head. That's not a good sign for the late 4Q for Ravens if it's a close game

We'll see. It's likely given his past & his weaknesses, but Lamar is primed to be the next QB to win a SB for the first time. He's going to need to keep his calm & focus to be ready to win the game at the end. Desperation & panic are what Lamar needs to avoid.

CJ Stroud to Garrett Wilson would have been welcome as Panthers with CMC & Moore working with them. Instead, we get Bryce Young protected by Ikem Ekwonu with CMC & Moore traded away.

I wouldn't have made the trade for a QB, but if the Panthers did I identified the only 2 options. 1. Trade for Lamar Jackson who is the most primed QB per NFL history/data to win his first SB. 2. Draft CJ Stroud if you must take a 1st round rookie. The best scenario I suggested 2022 offseason was to draft a #1 WR & TE to pair with CMC & Moore, draft 2 on the OL day 3 & load up on 3-4 young QBs to go for the 1999 Rams model moon shot. Garrett Wilson was that WR with true leadership. My top 2 TEs were Jelani Woods & Jake Ferguson. QBs were Purdy, Ridder, Glass & Coan. The OL additions were Zach Tom & Jamaree Salyer. Add Michael Mayer in 2023 (Jack Coan's other college TE) Purdy, CMC, Wilson, Moore, Ferguson, Mayer, Tom, Christensen, Bozeman, Corbett, Moton would likely be the Panthers starting offense now. I would have used the draft capital spent on Bryce Young to strengthen the defense.

The smart move would be to keep Bozeman, move Ekwonu to guard next to Moton with Christensen & Corbett on the left side. Better blindside pass blocking & a power running right side of the OL. Easier running audibles to kill a pass play & get leverage on the blitz. Need an offensive coaching staff that will go with a power running game.

A playoff coach & roster has always been a possibility over the past 2 seasons. Teppers & Fitterer just kept making the bad choices & firing/trading the wrong people, or holding on to them too long like Rhule, Robbie Anderson & Brian Burns.

I have explained this. QB is not hard to find when you know how to identify necessary NFL qualities & pair them with the skill position players that do the work & act as an extension of the QB. Walsh taught what he learned from the 60s. The current Packers GM learned this from the Holmgren/Wolf era. Both Holmgren & Wolf learned from Walsh early in their careers on how to build a team. All of these coaches & GMs from the path Walsh traveled are not simply getting lucky 80% of the time.

In 4Q garbage time against soft clock wasting defense while trailing by multiple scores after looking horrible for more than 3 quarters.

Dak going to be Dak in the playoffs. Same goes for Josh Allen & Lamar Jackson. They need to prove they are playoff clutch. Dak has a chance he can go Tom Brady or Joe Montana in the playoffs.

Tight End talent has been great the past 2 years in the draft. The Panthers just ignored it. Ferguson & Mayer would be Panthers if I had my way with the roster. Just have to watch the players I wanted wearing a Panthers helmet looking good in the playoffs.

The state of the NFL QB is at an all time low since the SB era started. Even with all the rule changes that allow them more success than they would have had 15 to 20 years ago.

Not too sure about that. Stroud was a better fit for a Reich offense. Forcing Reich to make an offense on the fly for Young was the biggest issue on offense. Levis would have been a better fit for Reich's offense. Would have been more productive with Dalton, Foles, Wentz, or Flacco. Young had difficulty seeing the open receivers.

An interesting move would be to hand the team to the Slowik & Kubiak Brothers. Steve Slowik as GM. Klein Kubiak as asst GM. Bobby Slowik HC. Ryan Slowik DC. Bob Slowik LB/Asst HC. Klint Kubiak OC. Klay Kubiak QB coach. Gary Kubiak as a senior advisor. Texans, 49ers, Dolphins & Cowboys. Unite them with their SB winning Dads & watch the wins role in.

Firing the people who wanted Stroud & keeping the ones who got it wrong on Young seems to be counterproductive to success.

So, Reich was among those in the Panthers building that was right on the QB evaluation & he got fired for being right?

Cruel world when Teddy Bridgewater, Sam Darnold, Baker Mayfield, & PJ Walker are all in the 2023 playoffs while the Panthers hit the eject button on them early for an F grade #1 pick QB who they will refuse to bail on early.

Evero didn't take the interim HC position. Why would he take the HC position? He agreed to come in with Reich. Both Evero & Brown were just finishing out their contracts before leaving for better ownership was my understanding.

2023 was without a doubt the worst. 2001 & 2010 were expected to be bad seasons before the opening day game. 2023 was suppose to be an immediate all-in improvement on a 7 win roster to win a weak division. The QB move (most expensive in NFL history) destroyed the team & now that QB is being forced on a legit rebuild. The opening day offensive roster from 2022 less Anderson, add Thielen/Chark, trade Burns & the 2023 offensive coaching staff would have won the division. May have even won the division with Dalton after choosing to lose CMC & DJ Moore. The Panthers should have added Jalen Carter to strengthen their defense. Then they have 2 first round picks in 2024 & 2025 after likely winning a weak division. That's how I see it.

What round does Kris Jenkins Jr go to the Panthers?

Bye Burns The return on your 5 years is a huge loss for the franchise. You never became a championship leader or a playmaker.

Now, let's hope they follow a proven championship team building formula instead of a new experimental long shot strategy.
