  1. I get why the hate is directed at Bryce, but we should all be pissed at the front office(s) who drafted him and continue to put him on the field, while having ZERO contingency plans behind him. I don't mind missing on a pick, although this one was particularly costly, but I do care about the staff burying their head in the sand when the writing has been on the wall since the first snap he took. Again, that's on the staff, not Bryce - he is what he always was. Throwing at the combine vs air wouldn't have dropped him from #1. Anthony Richardson dominated the combine and he'll probably never play another meaningful snap for the Colts, rightfully so.
  2. Kirk Ferentz is John Fox Lite. Only two coaches in history that believe a 6 point lead is a two possession game.
  3. I'm still amazed that major networks have shows dedicated to Fantasy Football, and people watch it. It would be like Fox News having a weekly show with people telling you what lottery numbers to play. It's fun, but it's complete luck and no one actually knows what's good / bad.
  4. The amount of money, energy, and marketing wasted on Xavier Legette is laughable. Maybe the Hornets will roll out Coq au Vin at concessions to celebrate Tidjane Salaun.
  5. Yea. Sadly, my sporting expeditions prior to him means my son has to go to Mercer instead of Harvard.
  6. Was at the Carolina game last night. Bill Belichick now owes me $11k for the money I’ve spent on Super Bowl 38 and this 2025 season opener.
  7. Can we do away with preseason rankings. I've now watched Kansas State, Iowa State and Boise State; all ranked in the top 25 look like teams who would get beat by 5 TDs in the CFP.
  8. If you close your eyes, this is essentially Matt Rhule talking. Canales is a dipshit.
  9. I'm hoping this means Arch Manning told the Panthers he doesn't want to throw to white WRs.
  10. Anyone on here with knowledge of insurance policies for players this old? I know for young players it's common, wouldn't imagine it's as easy to get anything worthwhile towards the end of a career. $14M bump this year, which is really "only" a $9M bump when you factor the DE franchise tag is $21M. But even at $30M for this year, he's F'd if he gets seriously hurt this season. He would've been better off not playing this year, signing with someone next year for what would've easily been $60 to $80 million guaranteed over 2 or 3 years. He would lose the $16M this year and his guaranteed net would still be $30-$50 million more across the life of the new contract. Hope he stays healthy.
  11. Until Tepper is gone, this is just people trading seats on the Titanic for a better view.
  12. Panthers are hosting a pee wee league team with Cowboys jerseys during halftime. I hope every one of those kids tears an ACL.
  13. Steve Smith is to analysting as Jack Plummer is to quarterbacking.
  14. Windmon going to be playing that hit for all of his State Farm insurance co-workers in 5 days.
  15. One nationally televised game (1/21 vs Cavs on ESPN), two streamed games (12/22 @ Cavs on Peacock, 1/31 vs Spurs on Prime). Brutal first 20 games. Can’t see anymore than 7 wins. That’s assuming we steal a home game as a dog and don’t drop a game like at the Wizards as the second part of a road back to back. What’s everyone’s thoughts on this year? What would you be happy with regarding our record, player health/development, and franchise progress?
  16. Trevin Wallace sounds familiar, but I literally have never heard of a single LB on our roster.
  17. So your boss brings you in and asks "what happened this past year?". And you answer "I took a breather". That doesn't work in my industry, but kudos to your soft industry and failing company.
  18. Two ALARMING things here ... "Oh man, it’s always been something I’ve done, and I don’t know why, but I felt like I could take a little breath,' " 1) He had this mentality as a ROOKIE, when you've accomplished NOTHING to take a "breath". and 2) That he is STUPID enough to admit it. "Jugs" work to receptions in an NFL game is as "jugs" work in a strip club are to getting a girlfriend. They both make you feel good, but neither is practical in real life.
  19. It’s summer league, so take it with a grain of salt. But have to admit the team has played really well and been fun to watch. Agreed, take what we can get.
