  1. I don't think this is real, but if it is, you take him over Canales I think.  The play calling has been really suspect and "playoffs" at 8-9 is not that impressive to me.  I felt the same when we made it at 7-9 years back.  Decisions like trotting XL week after week after dumb mistakes is questionable.  The RB gets this drive, the next gets that one.... questionable.  It would be odd to have a playoff coach fired but 8-9 is not really the norm for a playoff team so who knows.  I do expect him to be the coach next year though and we need a real backup and competition for Bryce (a Canales chosen QB).

  2. It's easy to hate Bryce and he made some bad plays (the INT comes to mind) but the running game was just absent and that's how we've won what we have.  The defense had us behind early too.  Then Canales with some really terrible play calls.  And trying that long field goal in the rain/wet grass?   Then the fact the game was totally rigged in the worst officiated game for us since SB50 (and that's saying something).

Honestly don't think Canales and Bryce can co-exist.  I'm not sure who is the bigger problem but I don't think they can work together.  Canales doesn't know how to call plays that best suit Bryce's skill set and Bryce can't succeed in what Canales wants to do.  I think something has to give.

Regardless, we need real QB competition on this team.  Dalton was never any competition and definitely this year as he's washed.  Bring in some real backup QBs to press Bryce.  Canales is apparently the QB whisperer so maybe he can find a couple vets to fix, like Zach Wilson or something.  Or another run with Geno.  Who knows.

Maybe Tepper will sue the NFL for the bad calls on the premise of missed revenue from a home playoff game.

As wild as it is, it seems like something he would do. He would lose but the media exposure would be worth it.

I have a feeling to be an owner you have to sign some NDAs and other things.

Tim Donaghy would like to have a word with you. Guy literally told all of us how ever many years ago that over half of NBA refs are betting on games they ref and guess what the NBA did... Absolutely nothing.

I promise you refs are betting on games they ref in just about every sport.

I mean maybe so but I feel the refs are also following orders.   That’s why bad refs are still around and rules get more muddied each year.

Yes, that non call was really bad, but unless there is a smoking gun someday showing a specific ref having wagerd on a game where they made a particularly bad call, I'll never be convinced that the league or refs are trying to determine who wins or loses games.

Hell, I think there is a stronger argument to make that if the league were to try and dictate this game, they'd have wanted us to win so the division wasn't won by a team with a losing record and decided because of an outcome the next day amongst two teams who are both already eliminated from the playoffs.

Na refs aren’t betting.   The head ref is just getting instructions from someone to push games one way or the other.   It’s not coincidence that the more betting gets normalized the worse the refs get.  The rules get more and more muddied for a reason instead of cleared up.  Why ?  And the NFL doesn’t want us to win anything.  We have zero ratings.  Baker is a name and they want him in plus the game tomorrow.   The NFL has a perfect setup where many of their fans’ life’s are so based on football they could never admit it.

  6. There will always be people that won’t admit their pastime is rigged.  They just can’t.   I understand it though it would shake them to their core.  But when you realize a head ref overrules everyone and that bad refs never get replaced I mean come on.   Also reply assistant is nonexistent for some terrible calls but randomly shows up late in the game to adjust a random play.   Come on lol.   This timeline is crazy.  Society living with their heads in the sand.  It was so bad today even the announcers couldn’t bite their tongue and be company men.

Last time this happened I said there's no way the NFL is rigged, it was just a bunch of blown calls by shitty refs. But this game has so many momentum shifting wildly and blatantly incorrect calls that it makes me question that.

If the NFL wants Mayfield in the playoffs so badly I hope we send him there with no ligaments in his knees

I worry that it has taken you this long to realize.
