My ideal scenario is we can trade back a few spots, and pick up an early second.  Pick up Cross/Ickey/Neal in first and best available QB in 2 (probably Howell or Coral).  After seeing some of the mocks here it looks like others are seeing the same thing.

Probably unlikely it works out that way but one can hope.

It feels like the prospective bang-for-buck for the QBs is highest on those two. I would rather have either in the second than anyone else anywhere in the first.

To move up to six they would have to send us more than Minshew and a few picks. They got him for a conditional sixth round pick. I wouldn't be against him here but his value around the league is pretty clear. The huddle vastly overrates him.

We’ll… no they wouldn’t. It depends what the few picks are, right?

also, when you’ve been looking at a plate full of dogshit for a few years, a gas station hot dog starts looking real good.

If we could get Mayfield for that I'd rather go that route than Jimmy G. Mayfield with an ego checking could be a good QB.

The only two vets I'd consider are Mayfield (for the right price) and Minshew. Minshew would preferably be brought in as a bridge while we develop (the thought of this staff developing a rookie QB 😂😂😂) a rookie.

I’d rather just have Minshew tbh. He has about 100x the charisma and poise that Darnold has. We’ve seen Baker and Jimmy G both with very good lines and run support. I’d like to see what Minshew does with a good supporting cast.
All the QBs in the draft are the same guy. Try to trade back a few spots, grab best o-line available and get one of the QBs  in the middle rounds.

You want the ball in CMC's hands.  If giving it to him in open space saves his body more than giving it to him running through a six person gauntlet (Between the C gaps) I am all for it. CMC has EXCEPTIONAL hands and might be out of position at RB.

Why do people assume he would be in open space if he lines up at slot wr? Him against LBs is an utter mismatch; him against a slot corner? Idk if it is.

I agree that getting the ball in his hands is a good thing. And I would like to see him have more targets than carries but I think that could still be done out of the backfield to maintain that mismatch. They want to bring a corner over to guard the rb? Pound it and let that corner get popped by one of our guards.

The guy also has the intangibles to be a good leader and is charismatic, would be my choice for the season as long as the compensation isn’t too steep

For sure. I don’t see him sitting there with his thumb up his ass while Robbie   “Drops-every-other-ball” Anderson stomps up and down the sidelines mother-fuging him to the team, fan, and world.

Yeah - we are about to make some big signings the next 24-48 hours.  We now know we have the cap space - time to ensure the other 21 starters are as good as they can be while we work to address the QB situation.

C, LOG, MLB, RDE, and DT still need to be upgraded.

On board with that but I’m optimistic about  Nixon and YGM. It’s sink or swim time for YGM.
