Cross is a better run blocker than he is given credit for. He played in a RPO offense as a Freshman and even then had a mean streak. Most of the film people watch is from his past 2 years in Leach's Air Raid. He is a prototypical LT and is a 10 year plug and play. We haven't had that in many years. It is past time to invest in the OL

All I know is Neal and Icky are constantly ranked in the top 10. Cross is more all over the place. Im not saying he will bust or is bad, but a slight tier lower than the other two IMO.
There is one team that has Cross as the best player overall in the draft. The Giants have him as the best LT in the draft. I dont listen to shoe salesmen who have a draft chart.

Wow a team that wins Super Bowls wants Pickett at QB. A team that plays for top 5 picks and their stupid fans don't. I see a correlation

Finally a linebacker that hits

If the selection is Corral, then this franchise deserves to rot in last place for years. He is not a starting NFL QB in anyone's offense

I have Cross as the best LT in this Draft. I'd be ecstatic if he was there at #6.
Cross is the best LT in the draft. The other 2 will wind up as G or RT due to lack of lateral quickness. Do you really want to take a G or RT at 6?

That's a pretty delusional thing to say considering that plenty of scouts have said that he has elite traits. Moreover, he's played against more NFL-level competition over his career than any of them. I guess you know more than the scouts...
I live in Mississippi, watch most of his games and seen him in person. He is a less talented Baker Mayfield and no, he is not a starting NFL QB. And unlike you, I didn't realize this from watching a few film clips vs Vanderbilt. Sorry if you don't like it, but the truth hurts

I feel like Strong and Corral will be the best QBs from this draft when it's all said and done.
If we go QB at 6, I want Corral.
If we trade back, I want an OL and then Strong.
Corral is a bust waiting to happen. He is not an NFL QB. Period

I realize most of the takes here are based on expert analysis of 30 second film clips, but here goes. Neal and Ekwonu are RT or G in the NFL. Cross not only excels at pass protection, but also was very good in run blocking his Fr year when MSU did not run the Air Raid offense. He is a plug and play 10 yr starter at LT.

Carolina was an 8 seed for a reason. Great run, but coaching in the second half was non existent. You call every TO you have to stop that run. Davis called his first TO when they were within a few points. Awful

I am taking Neal if he is there
Then he can battle Moton for RT. The reason he is all over the place is due to lack of lateral movement. Is that what you want in a LT?

Cross is a better LT due to pass protection. Neal is better in a phone booth, and due to a lack of lateral quickness, I see him as a RT. I don't want a RT at #6

Qb musical chair's is almost done.. And more and more it seems like 1 of those all world Tackles will drop in our hands.. We've finally started to building and putting resources into a Oline worth being proud of.. Is it worth not finishing that process for a shiny new QB on a hope and prayer they will play past their game tape or rankings as a prospect?? Or Just take the higher rated player at position almost just as important as QB..
And I still believe a QB rated high by Chris Simms in 2020 is available and can be had for low compensation.. Still has 3 years on a rookie deal and would be rated just as high as any QB innthis draft..
Would a package of Jordan Love/Neal or Ikowonun be more a plus then Pickett/Wills/Corral??
Again if the compensation for Love is a 4th or lower pick..
Jmo ..
Win win situation.. If Love sucks. Rhule is gone and We are in position to get a better Prospect at QB next year.. With a Oline ready to dominate...
Love is worse than any qb presently on our roster.

This is almost universally regarded by scouts, NFL teams, bobble heads, draf5 guys and ex-players as being a bad QB class.
It isn't just missing a star, it's largely missing starting caliber NFL players.
For every one of the experts saying there are no starters in this group, 6th rounder Tom the GOAT Brady says hello. This is also the same site that screamed to the heavens that Herbert was terrible. I wish we had him now

We've looked pretty heavily into free agent left tackles.
Gotta believe they want to draft a QB.
We are one LT siging away from taking a QB. Since most agree that Pickett is the most pro ready at this point, he seems to be a safe bet

lol people writing Corral off because of the Pro day. Hilarious poo man.
You don't get it. I'm from Mississippi and watch most of his games. He is not overly accurate and that showed today. I've said it before but his best trait is mobility but that gets you killed in the NFL. He is a less talented Baker Mayfield and we should scratch him off the list quickly. If the concensus of the board is that Pickett and Willis are not first round selections in a normal year, I disagree on Pickett, then you are looking at a 3rd round pick. Move on

QBs don't make it to a SB and another conference championship if they suck.
They do when they have physical defenses that crush their opponents. Tom Brady retired for one reason, to win it all at SF. They are that close. When TB said he would not be released to go there, he unretired.
-
The reason no one has traded for them is simple:they suck. And they are expensive. If we do nothing but start Darnold and resign Cam, we are better off at the QB position, are not out any more money and aren't bleeding draft picks like we have done for several years. Perhaps the best we can do, is suck it up and fall on our sword for another year.
-
Everyone has preferences. Some want Pickett, some want Willis, some want a LT and wait. If we get a FA LT, then I want Pickett. If not, I'm good with a LT and wait tile next year for a QB

Wouldn't surprise me at all if the FO have him above Cross due to his physicality and Cross's lack of run blocking tape. I think the "if you run 28 times a game then you win" thing is pretty dumb but if you're a big believer, I can see how you'd talk yourself into this guy.
The Cross has no run blocking tape is lazy and stupid. He started his Freshman year in a pro style offense and showed a mean streak. Just because his last two years were in an Air Raid offense doesn't mean the tape isn't there. He is the best pure LT in this draft, period. No one is better in pass protection and he is as good as the rest in run blocking. Several others who will get drafted as LT will end up as RT or G due to lack of lateral quickness for NFL pass rushers. That's a waste for top 10 picks. Cross is a prototypical LT and will start there for some team for the next decade.

I like everything I see. Watching this, he can make all the throws. Touch, arm strength, placement. If we go QB at 6, I want Pickett

If we sign a LT to a more than one year contract, we are going QB. I think Pickett is the best of this year's group and also think he can be a top 10 qb
Evan Neal medically red flag by some teams

The Soultion: draft Cross at LT and call it a day. Sometimes the most obvious answer is the correct one.
I dont care what anyone else says, never take a Bama lineman. Never
