  1. I was wrong about Cam so I wouldn’t mind being wrong again….
  2. Doesn’t change the fact that Rhule has no excuses. He had year 1 and 2 to figure out the QB situation but he poo the bed and put us in a hole we’re currently trying to dig ourselves out of. Year 3 is more than likely a do or die year for him.
  3. Pickett and Burrow were in completely different situations. Pickett was a four year starter and lit up in his fifth year in a weaker conference as well. It could mean nothing or it mean everything, we can only wait and see.
  4. I had reservations about Cam so I’ve got no faith in my credibility.
  5. Meh..even if Pickett or whoever is trash. If they are like Pickles and we’re drafting top 10 or top 5 we will just go again in 2023.
  6. As it’s been said to death by now. The only issue wasn’t Cam’s departure, it was what took place following it. Giving Teddy 20m/yr then paying another team to get rid of him, only to give draft picks for Darnold and exercising his option. Which has put as where we are… The heat the Rhule and Tepper are getting is very much well deserved until they can show us otherwise.
  7. Obviously it won't be there only reason. Pickett isn't a terrible prospect just not what we need at the moment especially at 6. If we were picking in the teens(as well as having multiple picks in the top 100) I would feel a bit differently depending but we are where we are.
  8. That would be my ideal scenario if we pick QB(any QB)but the problem is I don't see a reason for a team to want to move to #6. Maybe Seattle for Willis if he blows up in his pro day but that only gets us to 9.
  9. Nothing would be dumber than giving up next years picks. If we did that then this regime has truly learned nothing. It’s this line of thinking that has brought us where we are.
  10. We still haven’t shed the bad karma from how we failed to protect our last franchise QB. Cam may have forgiven us but the football gods aren’t as understanding…
  11. The upside is that missing on Watson to a division rival, Brady back in Tampa, and a pretty tough schedule means they won’t have try to lose.
  12. I think Pickett is the pick too. A rookie QB with Rhule’s Temple connections, Tepper’s alma matter, and being a heisman finalist make perfect narratives to spin their cover their ass story.
  13. I think this is the general consensus but unless Tepper is saying this season upcoming season is a wash and has assured Rhule he gets a year 4 I dont see it happening. Rhule will do what it takes to stay alive within his powers, which is hard to do if he rolls with Sam. We can only hope Tepper doesn't let him throw the kitchen sink in order to save his skin.
  14. It’s gonna be Pickett now. Temple connection and Tepper’s alma matter. It’s written in the stars.
  15. This x100. Getting Darnold for that price let alone the price we got Teddy for as well is pure incompetence. There is no reasonable excuse for them. Rhule, Tepper, and co. deserve all the heat coming at them.
  16. Rhule already has 4 losses on his record. We’re half way there!
  17. The upside in all this that’s another two losses for Rhule. With Brady back in Tampa he’s already at 0-4. We’re half way there.
  18. Can you blame them? You have a 4 to 5 year window if you draft a rookie QB before they swallow the majority of your cap. If he is not a Rodgers, Brady, Brees, ie elite then it makes it hard to justify paying the huge money for an “okay but not elite” guy instead of swinging for the fences again. What exacerbates this line of thinking is that the modern NFL favors offense. It’s tough to build a 86 bears D or 2000 ravens, especially if the QB you have is short of elite and swallowing your cap as the Rams figured with Goff.
