Let’s all just hope they are looking at him because we may trade down into mid teens. Maybe 2 small trade downs are in order. Going to take another year or two to build this team out.

This is why it's probably going to be hard to trade down. This draft is fairly light on top tier talent but pretty deep in talent of that next tier down. I don't think there's going to be a lot of teams clamoring to move up and numerous teams might be entertaining moving down. Not a good market to trade down if that's the case.
The Cowboys (Jerry Jones) falling in love with Jeanty feels like the best bet but from what I'm seeing a lot of NFL talent evaluators see little if any daylight between Jeanty and Hampton.
I'm hoping this or all 3 OL guys still being available and someone wanting their pick of the litter. But if fans know its a good idea i like to think GM's do too. Talent from 6-25 are all close it seems like.

Hard to think we got worse. If Bryce stays healthy i have to think we win 2-3 more games this year. than last. I know we are contenders but hoping for .500 football.
-
Bryce doesn’t even turn 24 until this summer. Some of these 5th yr rookies will be his age. Not the end of the world to have him continued being mentored and keep continuity.

If we grab one with our 2nd 4th or later i wont be mad. Before then would seem like a waste or resources. I still wonder if Sanders comes back or maybe he'll take 20% pay cut or something to stay.
-
I want the first 2 picks to be defense, but I'm all for a receiver in the 3rd or 4th. Just think it needs to be a route runner who is quick rather than big body guy. Really hope our picks from last year take a step forward and 1 more year of AT being safety valve.
-
Brooks was exciting for all of 6 plays. Hurts to see that many hits in the 2nd. I was all for Ladd over XL. Just Bryce is a timing guy and seems like route routing would matter more than athleticism.
-
Yeah he’s about to flirt with 20/yr. Salary cap slowly just keeps going up so hopefully Tillis can structure it well for us

I like Carter as a prospect. But i also dont want to take him for him to sit behind Wonnum. If we do take him I'd want to trade Wonnum or if we cut him it saves about 8mil i believe and we could spend that towards Safety or Nose tackle.

he had little talent. He'll have DB back, plus Trevin and Jewell. Pick #8 and hopefully 2 more starter signings in free agency. He'll have a little more to work with.

I am trying so hard not to immediately mock Malaki Starks or Jalon Walker to the Panthers but it's SO DIFFICULT
if we could trade down to like 11 and get a 2nd rounder for this year that would be dope and land Starks. Thats assuming we miss out on Graham.

Still picking at 8/9.
Bryce got a win on the road and beat the new kid in the division.Jonathon Brooks may not be ready next year so you’ll need a RB.

7-8 wins i'd be happy.

Off subject, but it brings warmth to my heart that the Bears totally fleeced us in that Bryce trade and yet they are still no better than us.
-
i like Cam Skattebo because he feel slighted. Will have a chip on his shoulder. #1 offensive player on a solid Arizona State team.

Bucs just ruled out Winfield Jr, Sterling Shepard, and Cade Otton.

As long as we get Graham or Tmac I will be a happy man.
Not sure Graham will be available tho unless we move up a few more spots. I think as good as Tmac has been I don't think there will be a team who takes him in the top 5. Graham is probably the next best defensive player after Hunter so he could easily go top 5.
Make sure to cheer for Titans and Raiders. If they win at Jacksonville our record would be tied (assuming we lose) and they've had the harder SOS so we'd move up to 6. Raiders win at New Orleans would also move us up aswell.

looking at the team site, today's practice did not turn out well for improvement.
Chau Smith Wade and Josey Jewell are out and Horn/Moton are doubtful.

Noticed we moved down 1 spot to 8.
https://www.tankathon.com/nflThat's because the Bears have already played this week and lost. If we lose this week we'd at the minimum swap back to 7. If we win this week we'd drop down to 9.

I know that folks are rightfully pounding the table for EDGE help as well as some more talent on the DL, but with only Demani Richardson under contract next season and the way Evero's system uses them I fully expect safety to be #1a or #1b in terms of priority.
I'd love Xavier Watts with our late 2nd rounder. I think Jevon Holland's contract would be a luxury at this point Talanoa Hufanga on paper is an upgrade but i bet he demands a solid amount of money, but he's missed time last year and this year with injuries so scares me off.

Looking forward to see what we can do this year with the 2 4th rounders and 3 5th rounders. Really hope we walk away with 3 guys playing immediately even if it means trading some of those extra picks to move up in the 2nd or 3rd to get a guy we believe in. Just got to hit on our top 10 pick.

Bigcat at Barstool was talking about Purdy and said he’s a guy you win with. Not a guy you win becasue of. Like Allen, Jackson, Mahomes, and Burrow. I’m all for Bryce being our QB the next 2 years, but you can’t go out there a pay him like a top 12 QB when we become a .500 ball club.

I really want Slayton in FA for some reason
Agreed. Much rather do this and spend our first 2 rounders on defense. He’s quick.

There were 2-3 games end of last year really looked like Bryce and Moore had a good connection but I feel like Horn may have to much upside to survive not getting picked off the practice squad. I give the edge to Horn making the roster. Renfrow can be everything Moore was and more.
