We still Draft a Tackle at some point. Need options with Moton’s age, Ickeys future, whether Walker returns or not. I would guess Round 2 or 3

I'm hoping for Center or Tackle on day 2. Depth and our Oline is so expensive we need a starter on a rookie deal come 2027.

  2. Lets wait until we see the contract numbers before we start stressing over a guy who will be fighting for a roster spot. I assume it is probably little under 2 mil. Not sure what else out there we could grab if want to spend on a TE aswell maybe Tutu Atwell or Dyanmi Brown? Literally best guys left we could maybe afford is Darnell Mooney or Hollywood Brown.

Most would agree Derrick Brown is the safest bet with kicking the can down the road. The issue is it isn't going to stop there and someone like Jaycee Horn is probably next. That's where we enter murky waters.

Yeah, makes me nervous a bit too. Makes me want a Oline pick on day 1 or 2. Moton, Hunt, and Lewis contracts all get to where can walk away from after this season. If hit on a lineman would make walking away from one much easier. Wish all 3 the best and hope all 3 could stay 2 more years I'm just assuming one of them is gone at this point after this season.

I'd honestly plan for Ekwonu to be a LG moving forward.

Try to find his replacement asap.

I'm sure he could play LG, but Hunt is still here. You save 14 million in salary if you move on from him after 2026 season, but no reason you wouldn't think that Icky would want or command more than that on the open Market so would be a wash to me really.

I don't think I've ever seen a player be so coddled and catered to by a team in the NFL while pretty clearly holding the team back. We just can't get over that massive sunk cost of that trade.

Well next year would be the year to take a swing, dont even need a top 5 pick. Julian Sayin, Arch Manning, Dante Moore, Lanorris Sellers, CJ Carr, and Jayden Maivia. You'll literally have guys Like John Mateer,  Brenden Sorsby, Sam Leavitt, Josh Hoover, Darian Menseah and Drew Mesetmecker going day 2 at this rate. I'm sure 4-5 of these guys will fall off but sure there will be 2-3 dark horses come out too. QB class is loaded.

  6. I don’t see why they would trade him. His contract is super cheap and seems he is better than Gabriel. Watson’s dead cap keeps him on that roster next year. I’d let those two battle it out next year. Unless fell for Moore or Mendoza. Even if you do having your future backs up locked in for barely over 1mil seems like a bargain.

I know a lot of people think the Oregon QB is going back to school but I think that would be insane. Him and Mendoza look like the only guys who should go in the 1st this year.

This has got to be the most overhyped preseason QB class of all time.

Agreed. Allar, Nussmeir, and Klubnik all went away

  8. I assume we will be picking 15-18. Would love to trade down a couple picks for a 2nd or 3rd rounder. Need upgrade at LB and FS. CB depth could be great with next year being Mike Jackson’s last year. Don’t  love Smith-Wade on the outside if someone goes down. Also give a lineman a redshirt year. 2027 we will need a lineman starter on rookie deal. What we have will be expensive where 1 may have to go.

  9. If we do extend Mays I'm sure Morgan/Tilis could structure so first year isnt as bad? Buy them another year of current Oline with healthy Hunt. Punt and 2027 offseason have to let Lewis, Moton, or Hunt go. Save $15million with Moton cut that year, $14million with Hunt ,and $13 million with Lewis cut. But that Lewis cut only saves 3.75mil so don't think it would be him.

That would be ideal but i doubt he or his agent go for that

I agree, if he wanted to play for like 20-25 i'd go for it but anymore than that would hamstring us too much. You can win with him, not because of him. Need that extra $ for supporting cast. tying 40mil plus on Bryce i fear wouldnt go well.

I think if you Moneyball it, the point would be that you can get the same production for a lot less than committing 35-37 million or whatever it is, for 2026 and 2027.
    Don’t even mention extension.

Yeahhhh I'm not sold on hitting that 5th year unless see some more improvement this year but do want him to play the 4th year out while we build this thing out.

  12. I know I've said it before but I don't see what is out there worth giving a ton on compensation, and any we know are much better than Bryce. It will be interesting to see who stays with today's NIL. Brendan Sorsby, Josh Hoover are guys I like but they could command more $ at top 10 program than being a day 2 pick.

  13. Bryce isn’t great and super mid. But I think can be a game manager. What do we think is out there? Daniel Jones isn’t going anywher. Mac Jones? Zach Wilson? Pickett. I’m just not sure what’s out there that is much better without having to give up a ton of capital. Rather take one more step closer to contention with our early rounders next year with FS and LB help. Make this  place where dang they got a defense and a WR1 and solid RB room. I can win with that and want to be here
