I wish he could literally just be kelvin Benjamin good. Even that would help the offense dramatically. Would love to trade him for a 4th or 5th rounder.

We have to win 2 of the last 3 divisional games. If we don’t beat the Saints this weekend I have a hard time imagining we sweep the Bucs. Picture gets way easier if we win this weekend. We are healthy and they are missing Kamara. If we can’t win we prob don’t deserve to go.

I don’t see why they would trade him. His contract is super cheap and seems he is better than Gabriel. Watson’s dead cap keeps him on that roster next year. I’d let those two battle it out next year. Unless fell for Moore or Mendoza. Even if you do having your future backs up locked in for barely over 1mil seems like a bargain.

I know a lot of people think the Oregon QB is going back to school but I think that would be insane. Him and Mendoza look like the only guys who should go in the 1st this year.
This has got to be the most overhyped preseason QB class of all time.
Agreed. Allar, Nussmeir, and Klubnik all went away

I assume we will be picking 15-18. Would love to trade down a couple picks for a 2nd or 3rd rounder. Need upgrade at LB and FS. CB depth could be great with next year being Mike Jackson’s last year. Don’t love Smith-Wade on the outside if someone goes down. Also give a lineman a redshirt year. 2027 we will need a lineman starter on rookie deal. What we have will be expensive where 1 may have to go.

If we do extend Mays I'm sure Morgan/Tilis could structure so first year isnt as bad? Buy them another year of current Oline with healthy Hunt. Punt and 2027 offseason have to let Lewis, Moton, or Hunt go. Save $15million with Moton cut that year, $14million with Hunt ,and $13 million with Lewis cut. But that Lewis cut only saves 3.75mil so don't think it would be him.

I agree with going another position round 1 this year. Also I like Sorsby. Josh Hoover as wells as mid rounders. I just wonder if some big college programs can out bid the contract of a mid round pick. Going to Bama to replace Simpson or Moore at Oregon could be more lucrative sadly.

Rather trade for Mac Jones, way more reasonable cap hit.

i hate how plagued our Oline is , but hoping that late Bye will do us some good week 15/16 when we play @ Nola and Tampa at home as we fight for that playoff spot.

That would be ideal but i doubt he or his agent go for that
I agree, if he wanted to play for like 20-25 i'd go for it but anymore than that would hamstring us too much. You can win with him, not because of him. Need that extra $ for supporting cast. tying 40mil plus on Bryce i fear wouldnt go well.

I think if you Moneyball it, the point would be that you can get the same production for a lot less than committing 35-37 million or whatever it is, for 2026 and 2027.
Don’t even mention extension.Yeahhhh I'm not sold on hitting that 5th year unless see some more improvement this year but do want him to play the 4th year out while we build this thing out.

I know I've said it before but I don't see what is out there worth giving a ton on compensation, and any we know are much better than Bryce. It will be interesting to see who stays with today's NIL. Brendan Sorsby, Josh Hoover are guys I like but they could command more $ at top 10 program than being a day 2 pick.
-
Bryce isn’t great and super mid. But I think can be a game manager. What do we think is out there? Daniel Jones isn’t going anywher. Mac Jones? Zach Wilson? Pickett. I’m just not sure what’s out there that is much better without having to give up a ton of capital. Rather take one more step closer to contention with our early rounders next year with FS and LB help. Make this place where dang they got a defense and a WR1 and solid RB room. I can win with that and want to be here
-
I’m on board for one more year of Bryce. Also wouldn’t hate taking a mid rounder QB next year. We need another solid draft to keep building our team out then get a plug and play guy. None of the guys listed would make us a contender and the asking price for most the others would be too high.

5 first rd picks now and an extra 2nd over the next 2 years. Jets about to suck but maybe gives fans hope for quick turnaround?
-
Have Jaycee follow Olave and need the run Defense from 3-4 weeks ago to show up to shut down Kamara and what I think will be decent amount of Taysom Hill. As long as we dont lose the turnover battle I like to think we win this one. Would also make me feel better to see Bryce throw for over 150 yards

Panthers literally missed the playoffs by a game in 2022 and had the best win since 2017 when they beat Brady.
The NFC South was so bad it sent a team with a losing record to the Playoffs that year. Wilks had players playing hard at the end but let’s not act like that was a good season. That season hurts even more now that we see in hindsight how good our QB situation was. We just didn’t know it.
-
You win with Bryce Young, not because of him. Most people would agree with that. We have a throw together Oline and no true TE1 either. Feel like true TE1 Could help Bryce. We've already matched our win total of last year and I expect 3-4 more. Just got to enjoy some improvement after the last 3 seasons.
-
heck no, let that man rest up until Friday's practice then go time. We have are half a game out of the wildcard i believe. Lets go for it!
-
Wonder what we could get Chubba for in the offseason if let him finish out the season. Class act and the locker room loves him but Rico is clearly better
-
Jackson is playing what I think is expected of a 5million dollar corner. Unless we use our first rd pick on a corner next year I somewhat expect him to be on the roster again next year. Upgrading Nick Scott could help him aswell.

agreed, it almost feels like must win too for me if we hope to have any shot at a winning record this year with the Bills and Packers after. if we can get to 8 wins after a 0-2 start i'd be happy.

I mean Panthers are missing-
MLB starter
C starter
RG Starter
RG 2nd string
TE starter
WR #2-4 Coker
OLB starters DJ and Pat missed games.(now Pat is out for the year.)
RT Motown missed one game.
DT starter big money off-season Turk missed 4 games
LT Icky the first game of the year
XL missed a couple games
Arob missed one game
Hubbard missed 2 games
CSW missed two games
That's not including the backups...
I mean Panthers are always hurt the last few years. It's expected. Just was saying nice for back to back week we go against a team missing their biggest threat. Panthers missing games is the norm here. The run defense from the last 2 weeks shows up and I'd feel great. Just hope can get most these guys back for the Bills game.

I want him, just can’t pay a game manager big bucks. Look at tua. Making 50 mil to flounder and can’t get much help because of his cap hit.

Should Dave Canalas be on the HOT seat??

We have a tough schedule next year, but if we can't get to 7 wins something has to change. If we get to 7-8 with that brutal schedule i'd imagine he's safe for another year.
