Don't recall Renfrow even being on the active roster in any recent games, so I don’t see Moore being on the field either unless he's taking over someone else on special teams or they are making XL/Horn inactive instead.

We can go on and on about the players, but I'm more into judging Canales O based on the playcalling and general design.
It's still a very mixed bag for me. There are times where I like what I see. The rolling pockets he'll call at times seem to play right into Bryce's best qualities which I like. Him using Jimmy Horn with certain plays is good - although execution by Horn has been frustrating when he missed an opportunity for a big play. if it's 4th down and a pass play, I like the odds of a good play. Giving Coker more snaps over XL recently is a potentially good sign that he's not satisfied with XL's mistakes and is adjusting accordingly. I don't follow why we don't use the tight ends more often in the pass game, but seems that those work better than average. At some point, we were really running the ball well, so that's something, I suppose.
On the other hand, while he has shown to adjust, it often is too much of a swing in the other direction. Too often, we do something and it's working - like if running to the perimeter is getting us yards - only for Canales to then go back go stuffing up in the middle and wasting a down. Don't need to harp about the times when he tries to be too cute and it blows up in our faces. Canales has too many bad tendencies that our opponents are picking up on, like how we are quite likely to run on first down. Finally, I sometimes get the impression his play designs are for players that we don't actually have. We just don't really have explosive players on our teams that can make guys miss, and so these route concepts really should reflect the reality that YAC is not really expected and so it needs to be more vertical and/or have elements that help create separation by design. In other words, it still feels like the margin of error for a successful play, even a basic one, is too narrow.

Don't know why the Ravens didn't try to get more yardage. They had the timeouts and they had Derrick Henry.
Then again, it's the Ravens so Henry probably would've fumbled.

You literally cannot make up that ending.

Steel Curtain is made out of gas stop toilet paper.

A linebacker against a receiver? Oof.

Ravens pushing up the choking to the regular season, now?

So wide open there.

Lions almost choked away a meaningless game for them.

XL will be here next training camp, but I fully expect this team to pick up a receiver or two in the draft.

I've endured watching Jimmy Clausen play under center. Don't be telling me what bad QB play is.

Still don't trust Sam Darnold to not give a playoff game away but a defense like that coupled with a good run game, that may just be enough.

Canales is saying he called the flea flicker which just utterly baffling. Why call that when you have momentum? Why call this when ball security was a huge question mark due to the conditions? Why call a play that had one, maybe two players on a route and neither are going toward the end zone? Given that Canales had called out Legette in a prior game for a lateral that wasn't part of the play, I doubt this was Rico improvising, either.

Not sure how to feel, to be honest. The heavy rain made me think whoever had the better running game today would have the big advantage. 138 yards to 19 yards is a travesty, but also a confirmation that our run game has gone downhill over the last few weeks. Our tackling was not good, and it was especially painful seeing Mayfield making our guys whiff. We did at least take advantage of the turnover but the pick was not good nor was the missed field goal. I have no clue what was going on with that flea flicker - if that was even the designed play or just Rico doing something incredibly dumb - and the refs, boy, they went and screwed us over multiple times. T-Mac has been manhandled like crazy and that's not called but he gets a flag? Wow.
Worst part was actually the team rallying back - despite everything that happened - because that meant putting my faith in this third and Evero defense to make one key stop and the entire world saw it coming that the Bucs were going to pass. And of course, the guy was wide open. Classic Panthers raising my spirits to utterly crush them.
But they haven't done that to me in a long time. I don't like it, but it's like we're finally back to what this Panthers team was before Tepper took over.

All I can say is that it's been a long long time since there's been a Panthers game I cared about this late in the season. Have to be ready to be massively disappointed. Or elated.

A thread on X.
Look forward to seeing some of you break these down
General observations:
1. Too much pressure without having to send extra guys. Generally a bad situation to counter.
2. More success running out toward the perimeter. And yet, we kept going back inside where we struggled.
3. Panthers receivers beating man coverage remains a problem.
4. I feel Bryce has been baited into that type of throw before.
5. Seemed there wasn't as much misdirection.

I'd rather see the Falcons somehow blow this lead because it's the Falcons.
-
All that offense and it takes a play on defense to win.
-
...well, that was not Purdy.
-
Allen had a guy open for the win and he whiffs it.

Needed no mistakes to win against a superior opponent. Called ball game the instant Chuba fumbled. More surprised we almost clawed back but Horn... man, just flat out dumb mistake.

Anyone that will be in the game, please remember to boo the crap out of Blakeman at every opportunity.
