  1. My expectations for this upcoming season are higher than last season. That said, I can only see playoffs with a lot of things lining up. We need enough of these young players to make a meaningful impact, we need others in our division to falter, and most importantly, we need some luck in keeping this unit relatively healthy throughout the season. At full strength, this team has potential to be scrappy good but we don't have the margin of error others teams do.

  2. If we're purely using that Rivera clip as a baseline, not sure that's much of anything. It really comes down to whether you're more motivating your players or constantly abusing them verbally (or even physically). That's an important distinction to make and I would have to assume the Seattle Storm allegations falls into the latter category.

  3. Overall more successful than his brother, the gloved wonder. That said, you get the impression his upward trajectory stalled when he broke his leg. He still put up numbers afterwards - it's crazy he owns all Raiders passing stats - but was never really in the conversation on great QBs of his time.

  4. Seems that Morgan and company really went heavy towards guys good against the run. In other words, targeting our biggest weakness in a league where pounding the rock is back in fashion. At least conceptually, these are sound moves. Really comes down to Evero being able to do something with all these pieces. We'll absolutely improve but by how much is up in the air.

Worth noting this should help our offense by simply getting more opportunities to have the ball. Last season, we were the second worst in TOP, not good when it lacked explosive playmakers.

  5. Corbett torn rotator cuff lifting pen from paper - out for the season

In all seriousness, I hope the numbers makes sense for a guy that only played a handful of games for us so far. Also, please draft a center this draft. This position was in such a precarious position last offseason and in typical Panthers fashion, it blew up in our faces.

  6. Don't really mind this. He does well with the few opportunities he has gotten and it may be a sign Canales is going to get the tight ends more involved next season. Also don't think getting a tight end in the draft is now out of the equation either. He's more like a TE2 and the short deal could be a sign that he's more of a short term solution for the sake of consistency.

Most importantly, this likely means Ian Thomas is finally out of here. But I'll believe it when I see it.
