I think the notion that he needs to give his franchise tag money back PLUS play for league minimum is kind of ridiculous. I think giving us a big hometown discount on a long-term contract would be enough to make up for the money he made sitting on the couch last year.

If it's fake, it wouldn't come across their feed unless they actually tweeted it(or were hacked, which doesn't look like the case at all. I don't follow Ian, so I'm only going from others, who do.
I'm highly confused by this Ian Rapoport debacle. I saw his tweet with my own eyes before it was deleted.
Somebody care to address or explain this? I'm not too well versed in twitter.

Zod, I've seen many here blame roger/NFL for putting greg on the list, but didn't the panthers ask the NFL to do this?
Hardy was given an option by the NFl: exempt list, or suspension. The Panthers only communicated the option to him.

God I just hope we sign a tackle or two this offseason
I hear Byron Bell's available.

Who says I didn't? Maybe since I'm famous I just didn't get caught...
Agree with SCP... I don't see that many strippers or pornstars around here... maybe I'm not looking in the right spots?
I mostly saw them at grocery stores when I lived there.
But I'd also go to the grocery store at 1am.

Having a ton of hot girls does not equate porn star and Stripper....
Wilmington isn't ECU.
Not the reason I say that.
I love Wilmington, btw.

Apparently she spent some time in Wilmington also... Hmmmm...
Pornstar and stripper mecca of North Carolina...not surprised at all.

Starting to wonder if this fiasco surrounding Hardy is by design on his behalf?
Fact: Players hate the tag because if the player suffers a career ending injury then a huge payday is lost.
Some parts of this ordeal seem so ridiculous that you would almost think Hardy has no desire to play this season. What say you to the notion that Hardy has fabricated this event in order to keep the current payday while hitting the open market next year in healthy form?
How in the world would he have orchestrated the NFL mishandling the Ray Rice incident? That's the reason why he sat out the season, not his own trial.
So it would take Ray Rice, Janay Rice, Roger Goodell, Nicole Holder, her friend, and the media all working together. Not plausible at all.

I don't know where people get this misconception that people don't settle cases or make plea deals when they are innocent or are going to win.
Anyone that says this is completely ignorant of court proceedings of any kind.
Beat me to it. Disregard previous post.
-
the insane, nuts logic that you don't make a settlement for a case you're going to win.
This was separate from the civil suit.
Plus, that kind of stuff happens all the time for various reasons having nothing to do with guilt or innocence.

Wonder if we'll hear so much as a peep from Ashley Fox and Bob Costas.

Kinda sucks since I'm fairly confident Greg would have been found innocent. I'm sure she just took off knowing the whole country would have found out she was a fraud at the trial.

Jerry Rice?

Over: Luck
Under: Kam Chancellor

I hope we can bring in solid competition through draft and FA for both Tackle spots, so wouldn't mind either. Remmers did well for us, but I'm not a fan of handing him the job with no competition.

These kinds of contests always end up like this, not surprised at all with the progression to paying for likes.

situations like this are exactly why some celebrities prefer to use hookers. I read about how Dave Navarro always banged hookers on the road because they would be discrete, and he didn't have to worry about groupies out for 15min of fame, or someone trying to get knocked up for a golden ticket.
You know you're trash when a hooker's got more class lol.

I guess this was quite an accomplishment for her.

"So often in my career, I've been the guy that came up just short."
So heartbreaking to hear from such an incredible man and player. Whether it was comeback player of the year, pro bowls, or last year's Walter Payton, I think most Panthers fans understand exactly what he's saying. It's great to see this man recognized, and he's the type of guy that should be rewarded.
Huddle needs to get this man into a pro bowl next year, and it falls on us as Panthers fans because we know a 4-3 OLB isn't going to get votes outside the fanbase over the 3-4 pass rushers...even if he is the best coverage LB in the game.

I'm more tired of hearing about deflated footballs than anything. Besides, I've only ever really cared about 1 Super Bowl...so far.

I think we need to come out of this with at least 2 legit Tackle prospects.
But then, I said that last year too...

He's probably tired of the media shatting all over him because he's not on a more favored franchise and we hired a defensive HC and GM with a #1 overall pick invested in a QB.
I'm sure he's gonna cost more than he would if we had tried harder to build around him, cause it kinda looks like we don't give a poo about him the way this has all gone down.
Can't say I blame him.
