i love when this board talks about players bulking up, adding mass, whatever. just complete ignorance, nonsense and wishcasting.
bryce is bulking up like alex jones lost weight

Simms is so wishy washy at times it's difficult to listen or take him seriously. But unfortunately he is correct on most of what he's saying about Bryce.
Also putting him below Darnold is brutal. At the same time. I just can't argue with it. Darnold at least has the phsyical ability to put the ball wherever he wants it. You don't draft a QB #1 overall if he doesn't have the kind of arm talent that wows you on the tape.
Darnod's last six games of 2022 are better than anything bryce will ever produce.

Strengths of his that had a 100% chance at carrying over to his pro game.
Was there literally anything Bryce did well in college that had a 100% chance at carrying over?
Charming the hotwives of powerful men.

Fans blamed the playcalling on Bryce being limited, even though Bryce had more success when he lined up under center and ran bootlegs.
lol no he didn't

If we didn't draft Young and had kept DJ, we probably wouldn't have ended up with the #1 pick though. Probably pick somewhere in the 6 to 10 range.
and that would also be much better than where the panthers currently are

How was RB not a need? We have Miles Sanders who was awful last year and Chuba Hubbard who averaged 3.8 ypc last year.
should have clarified. not a need in the draft.
and chubba is absolutely okay, dammit!

Not as insane as trading him for peanuts when the cost was already sunk
i don't remember anyone thinking the panthers didn't get good value for him
he was coming off multiple injury plagued years and his contract was seen as an albatross

The double trouble teams would have won a Super Bowl if Jake didn’t completely break down. 2003-2005 Jake with 2008s roster is a Super Bowl team.
Jake had melted down multiple times during that season as well, notably against Oakland and Detroit. No one remembers it because those were two of the worst teams in the league and the panthers managed to grind it out.
Cant really say Jake wouldn’t have had another one if they’d moved on.
also, jake would have needed to have a Super Bowl game to beat the cards. Yeah we remember scoring a td on three plays, but the cardinals weren’t struggling either and Ken Lucas was completely outmatched. Maybe Fox makes an adjustment (lol) if things don’t go off the rails so fast but the cardinals were peaking and, well, yeah.

once we drafted JStew I felt we had to let DWill walk
once they paid DWill I thought you had to let JStew walk
but that made you a hater. In real time, everyone loved those dudes. They were interreacting with fans and all sorts of stuff. Can't remember the details but I feel they had a little online fanclub thing and were sort of early to the online engagement.
There was definitely a little clique with them that included beason, kalil, and Ryne Robinson. We used to sit in front of Ryne’s gf/wife at panthers games and they all hung out together all the time. I also remember Dwill went absolutely insane for Halloween. Like burying himself in loose soil and popping up with a chainsaw without a chain and chasing kids around the neighborhood
That was early on tho. Dwill definitely wore out his welcome in Carolina and in Pittsburgh too. makes sense when you think of how heavily Jstew is featured for fan stuff. You wouldn’t even know dwill played for Carolina based on how they show him.

ACL tears are one of the most common and simple ortho procedures. A total tear is even easier to fix. If it's frayed or ruptured or whatever you have to put this synthetic mesh around it to protect it, but if it's just straight torn the replacement is just a strong as the original. We take a tendon from the thight, remove the damaged ACL, and just basically string the new ligament through the hole. ACL kinda just goes through the middle of the knee and keeps it together for stability.
They used to be horrific because they had to cut the knee open and do substantial damage to the bone. People were laid up for 12 weeks while the damage the surgery did heals. But now there is so little damage relatively, and the procedure has been nailed down so well, that the biggest thing is just waiting for the incisions to heal and getting used to the knee and rebuilding all that strength.
like i can't exaggerate how simple this procedure it. The medical device reps literally are in charge of it, and just use a laser pointer to point out what piece goes where. Everyone thinks they have the best orthopedic surgeon in the country. Everyone always goes to "the best knee guy in town" or whatever. What none of them realize is more often than not the PA is opening, closing, and sometimes doing most of the procedure.
Like there's some random dude in central tennessee who thinks he had the best surgeon in the state do his acl repair which actually it was me on my surgery rotation.

he's apparently already running on it.
ACL isn't a big deal anymore, especially for a 20 year old.

Brooks is a fuging monster and not a need at all. He reminds me of Stewart when we already had DeAngelo. yeah holy poo this guy rules but why did we draft him?
i kinda love it.
also full disclosure i was accidentally tripping balls during the second round. like it came on so fast and so hard i barely got to the couch in time or i would have had a floor night.
when they drafted him, I was peaking and one of my favorite songs was hitting its crescendo and i had almost a religious experience so he's basically my favorite player of all time now.

Panthers have seriously addressed their line and will be getting players back from injury. Chubba has improved every part of his game each year he’s been in the league and is more than enough as a starter at the position. The Panthers have way too many other needs to take a rb.
Thst said, if brooks is there? Oh man

whole lot of people claiming this was blown out of proportion are about to be doing a Jules impression.

There is reporting also from news folks that employees reported that Tepper was actually in good spirits and went in to make friendly jokes about it all.....and asked the bar owner who they should take. Who turned out not even be a Panther fan.
Nah that was from David newton reporting.
multiple people on Twitter last night were there and said it was not friendly. The first guy reporting apparently has video and if he’s smart he let tepper buy it from him.
Tepper isn’t capable of a normal, human interaction.

Maybe, but who's the hot name that's going to pull that? Why didn't a team pay a fortune to move up at the end of the 1st? There are no QBs left.
Yeah the draft went kinda weird last night. Not sure that big haul is on the board anymore.
atlsnta really fuged up the draft, and themselves.
