A LOT of owners are heavily involved. They are just not loud about it. I’ve heard enough retired scouts and coaches say this over the years to believe it’s more the norm than we think.Lurie has always been very involved. He famously had weekly Monday morning meetings with Pederson during their Super Bowl winning year where Lurie would make suggestions and criticize Pederson for in game decisions.
For some reason people think it is unique to Tepper

I would keep an eye on Jackson Powers-Johnson (C Oregon) if he does well at the senior bowl.

yeah this is the way. we need to look at either C/G/TE, those with top talents that aren't highly sought in the first round rather than the leftovers. they are always left over for a reason.
I’m with you, I think we can get a stud C or G at this spot. We need to build up the o-line to help Bryce and to get it ready for our new QB in 2025…

Apparently the lesson in Philly is that getting the team to a Super Bowl starts you down the path to being fired
Lurie is getting more involved huh. Tepper has a lot to learn, but even one of the best owners in the league start getting more hands on when the results aren’t meeting expectations… just saying that Tepper is far from the only one.

That's...probably not something anybody wants to hear
I'm in favor of dumping the collaborative bullsh-t, but more involvement on Dave's part is a big big red flag.
The counter to that is that maybe, just maybe he hasn’t been as involved as we thought. He let Rhule run the show, then a massive committee.
It sound like the search firm is deeply involved in the process for a new GM and HC, so that’s a good thing.

It is surprising. I definitely thought we would and try to pair with Ben.

Tepper is worth 3 times Josh Harris for the record.
Chargers owners have tons of red flags. They are known for being super cheap etc. Chargers are only attractive for their QB, they are way over the cap and will have to get rid of some of their aging stars. It’s a good job, not sure if it’s great.

Interesting no Slowik on this list. Would prefer him over Frank Smith
Slowik is interesting, he’s very inexperienced but super high potential

If Vrabel to Patriots is true, it will be interesting how they handle the minority interviews, as it will obviously be a sham.

So if we are only talking to people who said yes, then we have a very very strong lineup of coaches and GMs. That would actually be great if true.

Y’all can keep screaming but the Disner and Halaby interviews scream president of football more than GM is which how the Eagles run things. Making proclamations this early is silly.
That my thought as well, that is not a bad set up at all.

ya that's gonna open a very attractive HC opening unless they plan to promote from within.
Feels like Dan Quinn all the way, right?

Yeah right. He gameplanned for his team to be shutout in back to back week, which is like the first time it happened in 30 years. Hard pass on Tabor. Massive fail if he is the HC, but that probably means no one else wanted the job.
I don’t think you could have misinterpreted my comment more if you tried to. During the game, it was the first time in forever that we had no issues with time outs, late play calling, we went for it on fourth down when it made sense etc. he handled all that really well. I don’t want him as the HC, but he did that part really well.

It is pretty much standard practice. If we hire a young offensive HC, I would also want to keep him in place for another year, if the new HC agrees.

Chris Tabor as panthers HC would be the most panthers thing ever. lol.
Ironically he’s probably been the best game day coach we’ve had in a while.

Not true with a new GM. If Scott would’ve traded for less than two 1sr’s, he’s an imbecile. Getting a first this year for a new GM is a win, because that old trade scenario is non-existent on his watch.
Burns believes he deserves Elite DE money. Imagine franchising him for one year…he will be ‘scared’ to get hurt again. Time to tag and trade, as much as I loved watching him play.
Agree with this, a new GM means a clean slate. You tag him with the hope of trading him. Minimal chance he’ll sit out. Letting him seek out a trade will show him what the market is for a trade or a more reasonable contract with us. However I do prefer a trade at this point as I think we could get a first rounder.

The Cowboys draft really well and invest heavily in their o-line. He would be my number one choice.

It’s a fact Number 1 picks get more then 1 year to prove themselves..
Its more a fact that picks that were traded for do…
Sorry if I’m using historical fact to form my opinion..Your above statement is generally correct, but has nothing to do with the initial comment I responded to, that you tried to state as a fact when it was your opinion. But you do you man.

Neither do you but I do know historically number 1 picks consensus number 1 picks have been given more opportunities and the benefit of the doubt from other coaches and GM’s..
No I don’t know, that’s why I don’t claim my opinion as a fact. See the difference between us?

Also, possible Atlanta may be dumping their GM as well.
Atlanta has been one of the weirdest teams lately. The GM drafting top offensive players and the offensive HC not playing them/involving them much on the offense.
