Connor Williams in FA, and Kenyon Green in the draft
Didn’t Connor Williams have the most false starts in the league? If so it’s a hard pass on him. He’s always felt like the week link when I’ve watched the cowboys.

I like Willis but picking him at #6 would be a disservice to both him and the Panthers. The expectations would be way too high and fans/media would demand to see him play. Which is exactly what he SHOULDN'T do his first year. The later the pick, the less pressure there is on him. Willis needs time to learn the NFL game, reading defenses, progressions, etc.
The most important thing is to have a plan for him. Trey Lance sat all year, Mahomes sat his first year, both were very high picks. But there was a clear plan for both and their HC stuck to it. That’s the issue for us. I feel better about it with our new coaches but I don’t trust Rhule

Sounds like Willis had a great 2nd day. We really need a LT, but it is hard to not get excited

I would love Jim Caldwell as our HC. I know he’s not the young new thing, but I think he would be perfect.

It's a no on Bieniemy
Lots of speculation right now that Jim Caldwell is gonna be the guy. The belief apparently is that Caldwell can best maximize Justin Fields (the other two finalists are defensive coaches).
It is really interesting that Poles, coming from the Chiefs, won’t even interview Bieniemy. Is it Bieniemy’s background issues before the Chiefs or does he just interview really bad, or both? Something is definitely up, and I don’t think it is racism, even though it is prevalent.

Brady could be an ok LT. But there are three potential stud LTs in the draft. Pick one of them and add help at G/C in free agency (Austin Corbet and Norwell?). Absolute no brainer.

Pretty much disagree with all his pro comparisons…lol
Which ones would you make? I didn’t watch much college football this year so I’m curious where you are at.

CBS Sports just made a nice breakdown of all the QB prospect:

I’m also curious to see what happens if we don’t see any significant progress this week. My blind/unrealistic hope is that at that point Tepper will pull the plug. He’s giving Rhule one final chance to save himself. Unrealistic? Yeah, but until I hear Tepper speak there is a chance.
It is yet not too late for HC interviews, but next week it is starting to be.

I always thought Pep was identified as someone holding Luck back. Maybe he’s better now, but I’m not too excited.

Wasn’t Rhule supposed to be the rockstar? Isn’t that why he was hired? Hire a rockstar head coach and you will get some very good assistants.

The only way a rockstar OC will come to the panthers is if Rhule isn't employed.
I think that’s the point, hire a rockstar OC or you are out. If you can’t you are out.
-
This is how I read it. If Rhule can’t attract/hire a very good OC, he’s out. He’s getting a chance to show he can. According to Breer (?) he’s been vetting OCs for a couple of weeks.

Jay Glazer just now on Fox NFL Sunday: said Matt Rhule will have to hire a rockstar OC to save his job. He's NOT safe despite the reports that have already came out.
Best news all day!!!

I've never been able to fully replicate the ones I got at a local joint before it was sold by the old asian lady who owned it.
not too hard.
I use an airfryer for the wings, and while they're cooking, I melt a stick and a half of butter in a pan, add more salt than you'd think, and I also add some celery salt, but not totally necessary, granulated garlic or real minced garlic. The granulated helps get the flavor all over the wing, but if you add minced garlic to the butter while it's melting, it will release it's flavor just fine. Then just a generous helping of oregano (you can use italian seasonings if you don't have oregano) and put the wings in a large bowl. Pour the butter over the wings, and toss to fully coat. Now sprinkle generously with parmesan. If you add the parm to the butter while cooking, it can melt into a big chewy mess.
That sounds great, thank you!

Yes. Never tried it, but it sounds really good.

Going to try some gluten free spaghetti. I'll put veggie burger crumbles, mushroom, zucchini, and some good sauce with extra basil. My plan is to cover the pasta up with enough stuff that it does not matter how it tastes.
You should try the 365 gluten free pasta at Wholefoods, it is as good as any regular pasta.

He comes across as a super nice guy, no doubt. I've only listened to him a few times and you never knew the result of a play. He tells you someone caught a pass, but you have no idea if it was a first down etc. There was always a long delay before he told you the situation. Really weird.

Btw, we do know that BOB really cares about O-line based on his trade for Tunsil, so at least that’s a good thing.

last one of the season, and the last one I will start. Got to shake things up, so next season hopefully one of you guys will pick up the torch and maybe we'll see more wins since I took over.
Also, time for me to get back to healthier eating, so today, while there will be beer and scotch, I will have salmon with olives and capers.
what's on your menu?
Can you share your wings recipe, I might give that a try today?

I have no issues with having these two as OCs.
Former head coach’s as coordinators have worked really well recently.
It needs to be someone with a previous HC experience, so it makes sense. I still really like the idea of Jim Caldwell as well.

I’ll still watch and support, but my level of enthusiasm is 100% dependent on the new OC and a new O-line coach.

His mobility and knee are the two flags. But you can’t deny his deep ball and accuracy coming from one of the more advanced college systems. If his knee checks and let’s say he was in the last draft, I’d take him ahead of Mac Jones.
I was thinking the same thing, a Mac Jones with a great arm. Which is pretty darn good.

Offseason finally here. Let's get down to business.
in Carolina Panthers

Ideally we get two starting level guards or g/c combo. It is an unusually strong FA for O-linemen.
Then we take a LT with our first pick.
