It shows two things:
1) She is not part of the core decision makers group
2) She was right the whole time
Both go against everything a core group on this board has complained about for a long time, often using very misogynistic tones. So maybe think a bit before next time.

Putting Mike Onwenu next to Ickey would be something else. Would be very expensive, but also fantastic.

And I meant to say potentially moving to C next year.

That's fine but none of those UNC QB's have panned out either. That's not nothing.
Yeah but Drake is by far the best one. Never understood the hype around Trubiski, he was nothing more than ok.

Every Mack Brown team gets worse as the season goes on. Same story every year, drives me nuts as a Tar Heel. So I don’t necessarily put that on Drake. I do however think Drake can play well within a system, not sure Williams can. I like Daniels, but he also had crazy talent at WR.

Mark my words, Daniels will be the best of the 1st round QB's....
Will be interesting to see. I have Maye as my #1

The Ladd McConkey thing is weird. Not much production and doesn’t have size and doesn’t have literally anything that puts him in the first 4 rounds, not seeing it.
I hope he runs 4.3 and goes before us…would help…but he won’t
I think he was injured this year, but had good production. He’s 6ft but a bit thin. He’s very good at creating separation and getting open, so that’s the appeal to me. I would say that is the number one thing I look for. I’m done with contested catches type of guys. I think he is decently fast as well.

Since my favorite Jackson Powers-Johnson seems to be a mid first rounder at this point, how about Graham Barton?
I know nothing about him outside of some draft profiles. He’s a tackle who can play G/C. Sounds like a great player on paper. Could play LG this year and move over to tackle in 2025.
Any insights or opinions about him?

You have to include Malik Nabers in that discussion. Have to.
Sounds like a number of folks have them neck and neck.

I've given up on the hope that he will be there at 33. Setting sights on Van Prann or Frazier now. Not at 33 but maybe 65.
Me too. I was hopeful back when I started the thread, but now it’s a long shot. If by miracle he’s there, he’s the no brainer pick.

The big difference with Morgan vs. his predecessors is that at his first press conference he didn’t hesitate to openly criticized the current roster, talking about the lack of the player type we need etc. That on its own gives me hope and makes me wonder how much actual input he had under Fitt.

I would keep the pick and reset the QB salary clock. I would take Maye.

That read as if she’s best friends with Burns agent, wow.

Nothing backs this statement up. You can say eye test, but every stat, analysis, chart and professional opinion I've seen says he's one of the most accurate passers in the league. I didn't watch every game, but the games I did see, your statement about hitting a barn sounds like hyperbole. Maybe you need glasses?
What I saw was someone who rarely hit his WRs in stride. They had to stop a lot to wait for the ball or do circus style catches. So that’s why I don’t consider him accurate at this point. Not sure how they actually measure accuracy as that doesn’t match up to what I see. But that is just my opinion, and maybe I’m completely wrong, who knows?

Isn’t he known as a kind of malcontent / underachiever? Or do I have him mixed up with someone else?

Found this interesting…
The sticking point is the amount of money he’s asking for, that could be used elsewhere, when he’s a liability against the run and only gets double teamed 15% of the time.

Here are two things I’d love to see:
1) Trade our 33rd pick for Brandon Aiyuk and sign him to a long term contract.
2) Trade Burns for a 1 and 3 in this year’s draft.
Might be a stretch, but not that far fetched. 49ers would be able to find a very good replacement WR at a much lower cost with that pick. And it would give us an established #1 WR who meets Dan’s dog criteria.

Top pass rusher on the team. Period.
2 most important players are the quarterback, and players that get to the quarterback.
There is literally no way we could replace him this year. May not be able to replace him next year either.
Doesn't matter what talent we add to the team if we can't get to the quarterback. Without him we don't have 1 true starting quality pass rusher.
I pray a resolution is found that includes him remaining with the team. I also pray we get him some real help.
It is irrelevant that he is our best pass rusher on our team, his pay and importance to us is about how good he is compared to others around the league. I mean would you pay top money to Tremble just because he is our top TE? Or top money to Chuba because he is our best RB? That kind of reasoning makes no sense.
I do like Burns, but not enough to get even close to what he wants.

I like Burns at the right price, but I still think he can be worth more if traded for picks (assuming a 1 and 3 at a minimum) as that would give us a good chunk to also sign another player.

moton costs 29mil against the cap. They got to figure out something with him
They should extend him, he’s still playing at a very high level and can fir many years.

We have to go BPA with the state of our roster. That’s how the Lions built their roster and it is something to mimic. They were widely panned for taking a RB and LB in the first round, but they were both BPA in their rankings, and it paid off handsomely for them. We need great players and not reach for a position.

I think it was a perfect storm of misconception made by a couple who happened to be the owners of the team. They weren't just looking for the face of the franchise. They were looking for the voice and they were looking/hoping for someone who sounded like they did.
I really think they were looking for someone who wouldn't just win games, but who would win the hearts of the market they were try appeal to who had the money. They were looking to make the typical middle /upper-middle class fan comfortable so, between the two top prospects I think they didn't rely on talent, but marketable personality.
Tepper from the beginning has tried his best to get media attention to the team he bought. Trying to make the biggest splash possible. He didn't want the best team. He wanted the most hyped team. The most marketable team.
Just my opinion and I could be totally wrong, but I think that he and his wife WANTED Bryce to be the best prospect so they believed it and sold everyone else on it...or just flat out pushed it on people who wanted to please the boss and his wife.
Bryce was the well-mannered polite kid you could take to your grandma and who would comment on just how well-spoken and well-mannered he was.
I think the kid has talent and he might still become a good QB. I hope he is. But I really do believe that he fit the personality mold the teppers were wanting for the face/voice of their team.
Completely disagree (which is ok) that Tepper sold Young to the org. Fitt loved him for years and it has been reported over and over that the whole org was sold on him. But I agree that Tepper was probably ecstatic that his preferred face of the franchise was the same player pushed by the GM and coach.

Adding Onwenu at LG and drafting JPJ as center is my dream scenario. I think JPJ will be long gone by our pick, but after that WR showing maybe, just maybe there is a chance…
