  1. losing both starting guards also isn't ideal. Brady wasn't anything special but he was solid and underrated and Corbett was still coming off ACL rehab. Zavala and Mays are pure garbage as depth

Ickey's been struggling all year long and yet our coaching never helped scheme either a TE and/or RB help to his side.

Bryce needs to learn how to navigate the pocket and work on his footwork all offseason long with new coaching staff. there's been plenty of time during rare occasions when the O-line actually forms a clean pocket, but Bryce either drops too deep and/or bails out of the pocket too quick. his pocket awareness is good awful and fumbles whenever there's a gust of wind

  2. the original plan leading up to the draft was to trade to 2nd overall and most likely take CJ or Richardson since Bryce was the "consensus" number one. But once the Texan backed out, Tepper wanted to swing his "brass balls" and trade to number one instead. Fitt wanted his own 5'10 Russell Wilson, Nicole wanted her new boy toy, and Tepper wanted to prove his level of "genius" using analytics and the S2 test.

Reich and McCown most likely wanted either CJ or Richardson but was "okay" with taking Bryce since they had an all-star staff with "QB gurus". But once Bryce got here, they quickly found out he wasn't ready and didn't have the physical tools to succeed in Reich's offense. Hence the 20 WR screen game vs Vikings compared to Dalton's game vs the Seahawks.

  3. mike wahle on a 4MR discussion stated that the NFL has a year's tape on Ickey and now defensive coordinators and pass rushers know his tendencies and weaknesses. also, Ickey has always been a player that relied solely on his athleticism in order to dominate his opponents in the pasts. based on tapes from this year and last season, Ickey looked like he didn't do much technique and footwork training in the offseason which leads him to were we are now.

combined with the fact reich's blocking schemes doesn't fit to his strengths

This might sound crazy but I’d give every single one of Mingo’s snaps to TMJ. The way Mingo jogs through his routes makes me miss Terrace which is really saying something.

Or like you said, give Marsette a chance. I mean what is there to lose? We pulled a guy up off the practice squad and he played harder than anyone not named Thielen.

even though Mingo and TMJ are essentially the same player, this coaching staff won't bench Mingo because he was a high draft pick by this regime and TMJ belonged to the previous regime

  5. reports are saying that its not the ACL again but is out for rest of season

however, this is the second time a starting offensive lineman has gotten hurt during a game, was cleared to return by medical staff, and then later found to have a season ending injury. I usually defend the medical staff because they can't prevent every injuries that are out of their control but clearing a player to return to game with a season ending injury TWICE does not look well
