  1. We are skating at like 60% too. Solid designed play but we got to get quicker and more physical real quick.
  2. Slavin with a rare mistake though in the end. I have never seen him get caught that far up the ice.
  3. Ya were at about a 4 we need to turn the physicality up to about a 7.
  4. "TAMPA - A six-game road swing for the Carolina Hurricanes begins with two critical match-ups against the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Match-Up Carolina Hurricanes (29-10-4, 62 points) at Tampa Bay Lightning (29-13-2, 60 points) Monday, April 19, 7 p.m. Watch: Bally Sports South, FOX Sports GO Listen: 99.9 FM The Fan, Hurricanes.com/Listen, Hurricanes app Numbers to Know 2: Just two points separate the first-place Canes from the third-place Lightning in the Central Division. 21: After recording the primary assist on Jani Hakanpaa's game-winning goal against Nashville on Saturday night, Vincent Trocheck has recorded at least a point in 15 of his last 16 games played for a total of 21 points (8g, 13a).(Imagine if he didn't have an injury break.) 4-2-0: Entering their seventh of nine back-to-backs this season, the Canes are 4-2-0 in both the first and second halves. The Opposition Last five games: 3-2-0, 6 points At home: 16-5-0, 32 points CAR vs. TB: 3-3-0 Leading scorer: Victor Hedman, 41 points (8g, 33a) in 44 games The Bolts are in the midst of a critical six-game homestand, and after a 1-1-0 weekend against the Panthers, the Lightning welcome the Canes to town. Tampa Bay is 2-0-0 against Carolina at home this season, having landed back-to-back wins against them in late February. The Lightning now trail the Canes by two points in the Central Division standings." https://www.nhl.com/hurricanes/news/gameday-preview-carolina-hurricanes-tampa-bay-lightning/c-323793776 https://www.nhl.com/hurricanes/news/projected-lineup-carolina-hurricanes-tampa-bay-lightning/c-323804202 "Forwards Svechnikov-Aho-Fast Martinook-Trocheck-Necas Niederreiter-Staal-Foegele Paquette-Lorentz-Geekie Defensemen Slavin-Hamilton Skjei-Pesce Gardiner-Hakanpaa Goalies Mrazek Nedeljkovic Scratch: Reimer Injuries: McGinn (upper body), Teravainen (concussion symptoms; injured reserve) Taxi squad: Bean, McCormick, Ryan, Shore" Been a while since we faced them. They do have a couple injuries out. I imagine they will play Vas both these games though. So I expect some serious play from our forwards and an extra physical game from the blue line. Looks like Bean is having a time-out game but don’t know how I feel about it. I think he should get the chance to prove himself better tonight.
  5. Ned was on point. He did get one or two post assists. But he played solid throughout. The soft goal that everyone is blaming bean for is really a 50/50 on Ned in my opinion. Bean fugged it up originally and didn’t make the proper pass. He was gassed coming off a penalty kill(I think or a power play) one of the two. But Ned was out of position to make the save and left a wide open glove side on net. After the goal it took Ned a dramatic fall on a puck that snuck through to get his zen back a minute or so later and was solid there after. Paa and Slavin did save his ass a few times but it’s good to see our defense doing their job in back to back games. Ned was challenged both up close and from the blue line a lot last night and stood firm on both. Bean has almost turned into a liability since Paa joined the roster but I think it’s cause he’s trying to emulate Paa when he should just be focusing on his style and letting the big Fin play rough.
  6. Nice breakdown though. Thanks dude.
  7. Glad we were able to close that home stand out 5-2-1. We got our playoff test coming up on the road.
  8. That was almost a perfect replica of his only other goal this year with Anaheim too.
  9. Looks like we got a new sniper in the house.
  10. I think Bean is trying to emulate Paa too much. Bean needs to worry about his game and let Paa be the heavy hitter.
  11. Ned Smash. He knew he fugged that one up and almost missed another one.
  12. And by that I mean 2 shoes on goal. One goes in.
  13. I have no idea. We beat him what 3 times up close and we missed all three shots?
  14. Who the Fug is this Lorentz guy. He’s skating like a bat out of hell right now.
  15. Man. We’ve had more stoppages of play in the first five minutes of this game than all of last game.
  16. "The Carolina Hurricanes close out their longest homestand of the season by squaring off against the Nashville Predators again. The Match-Up Nashville Predators (24-20-1, 49 points) vs. Carolina Hurricanes (28-10-4, 60 points) Saturday, April 17, 7 p.m. Watch: Bally Sports South, FOX Sports GO Listen: 99.9 FM The Fan, Hurricanes.com/Listen, Hurricanes app" https://www.nhl.com/hurricanes/news/gameday-preview-nashville-predators-carolina-hurricanes/c-323720964 https://www.nhl.com/hurricanes/news/projected-lineup-nashville-predators-carolina-hurricanes/c-323739828 "Alex Nedeljkovic will get the start in net, according to head coach Rod Brind'Amour. Nedeljkovic posted a 24-save shutout against Florida in his last outing. Here is the projected lineup for the Hurricanes.
