Kuz is usually 44% in the faceoff dot overall. I was impressed with that aspect of his game. He quickly fell into the trap of new players in our system though. Especially with not having played in a while. You can take any of the top scorers in the league and put them into our system and they would look pedestrian for a while in their overall play.

Gotta clean up that end of game play. We gave Pyotr no room to handle the puck. Did more bad than good.

So the broadcast said that the skjei goal was offsides entry but they never showed a clip of it.

That was horrible defense there. Burns stopped Pyotr from being able to get his glove down.

The issue is it disrupts our flow, when we take stupid avoidable penalties. 5v5 our grind game just builds and builds the pressure and we start to force mistakes.

That was 2 I saw. The one that landed just below the blue line in front of their guy who immediately stopped skating. That one was obviously a tie reaching the dot.

That was not icing again ref.

We gotta get these penalties cleaned up and get back to our 5v5 games in general.

The refs looked at it completely backwards because Noesens feet never entered the blue paint or even the red. So he’s not in the crease. The white is fair game. Period.

Refs let them hang around.
