  1. I just want Rodgers to play well. I think it'd be a better story. Crazy ass Aaron Rodgers winning would make the sports media lose its mind as they want Pittsburgh to compete and be successful but they want Rodgers to fail but they acknowledge him being a good QB again is best for business.

It always triggers me about hamstring issues and WRs.

I blame the NFL career leader in hamstring issues- Devin funchess

Memo to all players coming to NC- welcome to humidity!! in order to be a professional NFL player you must hydrate before you enter the hellscape. Grapes, fruits, pure H20, sport Pedialyte the night before and you should be able to avoid the nasty hamstring issues.

Something everybody who played high school football in NC under any coach worth a damn learned in June: hydration begins 24 hours before you go to practice. If you're not pissing clear the night before practice, you failed. If you don't wake up to two glasses of water, you've failed. If you don't drink water before practice, you've failed. If you don't drink water between reps, you've failed. If you don't drink water during planned water breaks, you've failed.

This is very easy to do. You're gonna be running behind connex boxes and trees and bleachers mid practice sometimes and that is far more acceptable than cramping or stroking out and going to the hospital.

All I want out of Bryce this year is answering the question of whether he's the guy or not. Mediocre would be the worst case scenario IMO. Just be the guy or be Clausen and be the guy who gets us the guy. Let's please just get some clarity one way or the other.

I think he's answered it partially. After his benching, he showed he CAN BE the guy. The only way to know if he truly is is to see how he starts the season. If he builds off the end of the season last year, we got our guy. Any inconsistency, any regression that is more than an "off game", we have to be prepared to cut ties and move on. It's a cutthroat league for QBs right now. Guys have played better and ended up a backup on a new team the next season.

did a 20 min with Gold. Wow. He said a lot. Felt like he wants KK gone. Said he has had convos with GMET and Dundon and we WILL be swinging for fences with the 30 mill. Very exciting to hear him talk about what’s to come this off-season.

This sounds like he's pissed and I love it. He knows what we have in our core and doesn't want to squander it. Our core is too good for us to not have a Cup appearance at least. Our bottom 6 need a rework. We need scoring and we need guys who can break the monotony in the offensive zone without breaking the discipline of the system entirely. We need guys who want to score more than they want to not fug up (looking squarely at Aho here).

We need more points production. Aho is on par with an aging Ovechkin but we need more. Svech showed flashes of an Evgeni Malkin type but he has to do it each game, not for a quarter of the season. Goddamn I miss Necas.

  5. MVP is Slavin for every game we should have lost because he singlehandedly stopped several good chances by himself lol.

If we don't have a different system in place next season which allows for more consistent threats of scoring, I've lost all hope. We're strong as hell defensively because of our system and the concept of wearing the opponent out until they make a mistake isn't a bad strategy to implement...it just can't be the only thing you do. The amount of cross crease passes that led to goals that Florida got on us and the fact that we seldom if ever get similar chances is telling.

This series is way too big for him right now but he's still only 22.  He has no business being on the ice anymore this year, but I think bum is a bit much for a 22 year old prospect.  Stankoven isn't really the norm.

I'm hard on him but one can be a bum and still develop. He's way too much of a liability right now.

I know it’s repetitive, but next year and the year after…wow. Florida played halfway and it was a 1-0 game with 5 to go. Don’t kid yourself, this is most likely the end. However, I am excited for the offseason, who knows what this roster will look like. I know I love Nikishin, Stankoven, and even Janokowski. Future is blinding.

Well let's also not act like Bob isn't Bob. We scored 1 goal because he is on top of everything.

I still gotta believe in game 5 in Raleigh.

  8. So, we won a game in the ECF. Feels good. But was it a matter of the Panthers playing poorly due to going too easy, knowing a 3-0 series lead is basically a lock...or did we finally get our poo together?

Here's how I am looking at it.

    - we looked different. Different energy, different approach to the offensive zone. We actually shot the puck, we actually tried to get guys free for cross crease and centering passes. We whiffed a bunch but we tried one timers.

    - Florida looked different. They seemed to slow as the game went on. Was it frustration and saying fug it, they can have this one, we'll just take game 5 or did the ice time these playoffs finally show signs of wearing on them? They still kept pace for the most part, but we had stretches where we simply beat them to pucks, got them off of pucks, and seemed to be in total control.

    - it's one game. Until we do it in Raleigh, that's all it is. It's a fluke until it isn't. If we bring this series to 3-2, we have a series. As of now, we still have a lot to prove.

    - Scott Morrow is an absolute bum and if we had Chatfield, this series is likely 2-2 right now. If we get Chatty back for game 5, we may be able to snowball this series and make it. But that's a big if. How long can Burns and Slavin last pulling double duty shifts?

    - Nikishin is impactful. He also elevated Orlov, who seemed to be a bit more active which was nice to see.

Not saying it would make a difference, but this series sure does showcase how much Chatfield bailed Orlov out this year, huh?

Chatfield absolutely makes a difference in this series. It allowed Orlov to be lazy. Nobody is bailing out his shitty passes and shitty pinches because they're expecting normal defenseman play out of him

  10. There will be decisions made.

Do we change our concept in the offensive zone? Do we keep Rod? Do we send Orlov into a submarine to see the Titanic? Do we allow Aho to ever attempt a pass when he has a shooting lane again? Is Svech gonna be bullied by Nikishin until he starts acting Russian in his play?

Just play game 4 tomorrow night so I can free up my Monday night
