  1. This is the rugged individualism that has helped build the country but also makes us look like idiots sometimes.
  2. This. The world is saying stay inside if you can. I can and don't mind. If you can stay inside it is irresponsible not to. Plus i have a fun house and get along with my family. No sports hurts though.
  3. Wife is stay at home and kids are online. Whatever argument you are having with yourself you can claim victory.
  4. Half right. I started my own firm 10 years ago. Last year I sold off 75% of it allowing me to be off from May - December. But I do live with a wife, 2 kids, a dog and some cats.
  5. A few problems here. This is very much like the gun control argument that car crashes kill as much as guns maybe we should ban them too. We spend millions or billions on making cars safe and one has to go through regulatory hoops to own one. We also spend millions or billions on mitigating things like heart disease and cancer. And the healthcare system is ready to battle those things daily. It is not ready to be overwhelmed by a pandemic. If you told me a new cancer was here that would kill an extra 100M* Americans in the next twelve months I think we would want to do something about it. *I don't know what the number will be but its a possibility,
  6. GoToMeeting would be the other one (LOGM). Zoom has had a bigger dip but neither have been decimated. For work purposes I use GoToMeeting but I tested both and they are pretty similar. Would be tempted to invest in both as it seems like a possible merger/acquisition play. Trump announce a suspension of outbound cruise ship activity that may send some of those stocks diving on Monday. My next buying point is when (if) the dow hits 21,000 and i will be looking at Disney and Norwegian. But I haven't compared other cruise stocks.
  7. Have bought AAL twice. Unless they go bankrupt there is a huge upside potential.
  8. Schools are starting to close in NC. Not public ones yet as far as i know.
  9. Got one of these when we remodeled the mancave bathroom. It is life changing. Every toilet should have a bidet. It is so much better than TP. And your standard toilet is so uncomfortable once you sit in this. If you can afford it please get one. You can get it much cheaper on amazon. https://www.us.kohler.com/us/veil-comfort-height-intelligent-skirted-one-piece-elongated-dual-flush-toilet/productDetail/toilets/1589221.htm?brandId=927333&skuId=1589180
  10. Or commute in from South Jersey.
  11. USA is an individualistic country. Countries that have a greater sense of community and the greater good seem to fare better. Often socialist to some degree. So countries say- that's it, everyone get tested, don't go to work and if you need money for food and lodging we got you. And the people say, alright then. And it blows over more quickly. Our approach is much different. and way worse. This isn't advocating socialism.
  12. Th incubation period can be two weeks before symptoms.

  14. The death rate, better known as mortality rate, is defined as deaths/cases. Deaths is pretty hard to miss. May miss a handful but when you die the coroner figures out what killed you. Cases can only be accurately defined with widespread testing. Either everyone or everyone with symptoms. The US has been refusing to test people unless they came back from a danger area such as China. The mortality rate in the US was close to 5% a few days ago. In South Korea where they do extensive testing it is .6%. South Korea administers like 150 times as many tests per capita than we do. So no.
  15. We don't know yet. It varies widely country by country as they take different strategies. US in particular is not widely testing so we don't know the denominator of the rate.
