I will say that the NBA lottery has been so obviously corrupt for years that it is disgraceful.

Dude, if the Dallas Mavericks somehow magically ending up with the top overall pick, isn’t one of the clearest signs of it being rigged that I’ve ever seen. I don’t know what is.

like nobody is actually believing this right?

With plenty of trade options, the #Panthers stick and pick: They select at No. 8 #Arizona star WR Tetairoa McMillan -- T-Mac.

He's been quietly throwing with QB Bryce Young in LA. They two are already developing a connection.

This makes sense, looking at his outfit. Definitely thought he knew we were gonna pick him before the draft.

  3. I think this is Canales saying they believe the issue with the Defense was a talent issue, not a coaching issue. I’d expect a huge turnover and a heavy defense driven draft this year.

we also need to continue to build depth on the Oline and see if we can get a game breaking WR like Higgins but other than that, there isn’t much more that we can do for this offense right now. Have to let Sanders, Coker and Leggett develop and that will help us more than anyone besides Higgins may do for the offense.

  4. Just so people know, right now we have 150m in cap space next year(2026).

expect us to roll a lot of contracts of people we want to keep into next season with extensions/restructures(moton). Could totally see us clear up close to an additional $30m this year without much effort at all.

there is plenty of space for us to make moves with the Cap because we have so little on the books after this year.

I think if Jets beat Miami (winning by 12 with 10 minutes left) then I think we pick 7th--have not been reading all posts, so hope this is right.

That’s what I’m seeing too. Not set in stone yet till the day is done but looking like we can safely say 7th right now.

I don't think any DC would have success with this roster, but I'm open to change.

Same, I’m not against a coaching change at all. Would love for us to go back to the 4-3, the forced conversion to 3-4 just hasn’t worked at all.

with that said, defense is far more of a talent issue than anything else. We are starting essentially backup on defense. With very few exceptions most of these guys aren’t starting on any other team in the league. We are that bad.

our WR situation isn’t much better, lord knows I love some Adam Thielen, but on a team like the Bengals or the Vikings for example he’s a 3rd or 4th option at best. Our WR core is abysmal. People need to realize we are a very depleted roster.

we can maybe make the defense serviceable with the right moves this offseason. But unless we get someone like Higgins we are gonna struggle again on offense next year. I have no faith at all in Leggette, he’s been awful.

people thinking that we got taken advantage of in that trade with the ravens. then he makes one catch for them and gets suspended for the year. lol

There was one poster who made a whole rage thread based on this trade and then hounded everyone who disagreed with him. Not naming names but he knows who he is. That thread ages like sour milk lol.

some people don't want to believe the product they are seeing when they actually watch the game.

when you are watching what he does, it's hard to not see how good he is actually doing out there unless you are willfully choosing to ignore it just so you can keep your argument going.

No joke, he’s about 2 more games like this away from me penning an apology letter.

Some people double down on prior statements because they don’t want to admit they were wrong. Me tho, I got no problem and will be very excited if I am wrong.

just want to see a bit more of those, that’s all.

side note: looking at the list of potential players, it is bananas if he doesn’t get in. But Panthers are always getting screwed.

I wouldn’t say that, we are biased because we are Panthers fans. But that’s a stacked class, especially at linebacker. IMO Luke’s the best of those linebackers, but I’m also super biased in that assertion.

  10. I think this may or may not be lost on a lot of people. KC this year supposedly has a really good defense.

we only punted twice the whole game. And put played them in the second half. Curious to see if we can carry this momentum going forward.

I should add that given who's on our schedule today, this statement could turn out to be...I'll timed.

I ain’t gonna lie I’m fully expecting us to get destroyed today. The moment we are down by 14 points I’m going fishing.

wonder how many people are gonna be upset calling for coaches to be fired after we have probably our most predictable loss of the year.

    Respectfully, I completely disagree.

    Last year we were:

    32nd in Sacks.

    32nd in Turnovers.

    32nd in Rushing TDs allowed

    29th in Scoring.

We were absolutely atrocious on defense last year and that was with a full stable of weapons in Derek Brown, Frankie Luvu and Brian Burns that played all 17 games.

Using yards per game as a metric to guage our success lacks the context that because our offense was so inept teams were not driving the length of the field, they were starting at their 40-50 yard line.

    This year, our Defense ranks:

    31st in Sacks.

    Tied for 19th in Turnovers

    31st in Rushing TDs allowed

    32nd in Scoring

His defense fails to get pressure, fails to turn the ball over and fails to stop the run. Three things you absolutely have to do to be successful in the NFL.

Denver meanwhile has not missed a beat without him.

If another team wants to hire him as a HC and the Panthers get two 3rds for it I'll wish him the best and pack his bags myself.

Talent issue. As I said in my other post how many of our current players are starting on our 2015 team? One? Maybe?

They had their chance if he was hired as head coach. I feel like he’s kind of a smoke and mirrors coach himself. But maybe it’s just the lack of talent on defense.

I think it’s a talent issue imo. Seriously how many players on the defense right now, start on our Super Bowl team? Not counting the players on IR. One? People need to realize our talent on our defense right now is pretty abysmal.

The fact that he had a similar unit ranked in the top 5 in total defense last year was nothing shy of amazing and why he got HC interviews.

  14. 1 hour ago, The Natural said:

The 4th ranked defense is an illusion. Teams didn't put tons of yards up simply because they didn't have to. When an opponent needed to score they usually did with ease.

It’s almost like you want to run with a narrative and completely didn’t watch any of those games last year.

also you can’t make chicken salad out of chicken poop. We are sorely lacking in talent on Defense, and have been for a while now.
