  1. I have to pump a whole dollar worth of gas. I'll dispense it on the ground if that means I pay $46.00 instead of $45.71

    I do this a lot

    for me

Instead of paying off my Credit cards incrementally, I make the minimum payment till I have the entire amount saved up, and pay them off all at once. something about keeping the most hard assets on hand as possible at one time.

If a restaurant is empty I do not eat at it.

  2. Seriously, our offseason aside, the 49ers have had one of the worst off seasons of all time.

But yeah it's clear the Panthers have upgraded their roster so I don't know how that can be viewed as a negative. Well, I do know how and it's called lazy journalism.

it's hard to take any list seriously if They rank anyone other then the 49ers as the worst off season in the NFL this year.

It's the 49ers and it's not even close

  3. I've pretty much quit playing ball like that too... it's just too easy to get hurt and takes too long for me to heal now.

I got a new squat PR yesterday... first time I've ever ventured over 405... tried 425 and got it pretty easy for 2.  I'd like to get 455 at least once in my life and I can say my combined squat and deadlift is 1000 lbs plus.

my back is fuged, bad enough my PT said I should steer clear of doing squats with a bar, but managed to start doing them back in december and was happy just squatting 180 last week.

  4. Dear Cam,

    Fug you.

    Signed, Dave Gettlemen.

Guess I won't be changing my sig this year.

we need a LT and I wasnt high on any of them, so I'm not upset that we didnt get one, but we had some decent options on the board at WR that we left there. I think Strong could end up being special, and we go defense.....

I'm not saying Shaq Thompson wont be a good player, I think he will be.  I just think there were bigger needs that we had then anything defense.

  5. shoulders are a complicated joint. there's really no sure fire way to know what's going on without a whole slew of diagnostic tests. just back off a little on the weights and/or reps and build it back up. also, if you've done a lot of chest workouts and neglected your back, that'll cause a lot of shoulder issues.

also, try some mobility exercises like:

    pass throughs

    or doorway stretches (after lifting)

I'll try that, I have a rotation I work on, and I have a day thats just for the back.

  6. So I've always been double jointed in both my elbows and shoulders so upper body are exercises are always a bit more difficult for me, but recently my left shoulder is feeling like its trying to separate when doing some exercises. Nothing has happened yet, it just feels weird and very weak for like an hour or two afterward my workouts and then back to normal.

Basically does anyone have a similar issue? Trying to figure out if this is normal or if I'm about to destroy my shoulder?

Should also say that while I have played at weight lifting in the past I have only been serious about it since December, and I had to take all of March off for sickness. So I only have about 3 months of serious work under my belt so far.

  7. I ran the Spartan sprint in Charlotte today, it was a bit harder then what I expected after doing the beast last year. But then again it might have been more to do with me still getting over being sick for pretty much the month of March.

  8. I live close to uptown cycles so I'll probably swing by there in the next few days when I get back to clt. Figured the gloves and helmet were a given, but I'll look into the shorts as well. I've patched tubes before, but do not have a field kit. Any special items needed?

tubes are cheap enough that I usually just carry a spare with me instead of a patch kit. patch kits arent bad though, but take more time, I also had a bad exp once were all I had was a patch and I couldnt get it to stop the leak and had to walk 7 miles out from where I was and that sucked carrying a bike. so I've been carrying a spare ever since.

I ride with a camel pack that has everything in it, bike pump, allen key set, spare and tire hooks. I love my bike pump, it's small but has a HV/HP option for it that works like a charm.
