  1. Keep pounding, and Finish the fight!

long time Panthers fan here and I’ve probably been on this board longer than some posters have been alive at almost 19 years? (scary thought).

I’ve seen seasons like this before, under Fox, and under Rivera. The Panthers after an abysmal start, pull together some wins late in the season, get the fanbases hopes up, only to fall short in the end at the very end.  It’s an unfortunate script I’ve seen several times in my time as a fan, and if Wilks wants to stay, he needs to change that script by finishing the fight.

Under Ron Rivera in 2014 we had our only successfully completion of a year like this, we made the playoffs with a record of 7-8-1, that was a hell of a season and not exactly in a good way, but it was also the season that launched the Panthers into the Super Bowl the following year, because in part after that abysmal season, not just the Panthers fans, not just the coaches, but the Players themselves believed they could get through anything after that session, there is no amount of coach speak that can truly make a player believe other than living through something like that. That belief lead to the 2015 season and the most dominate team in Panthers history, and one of the most dominate teams in the last decade in the NFL.

What Wilks needs to do if he wants to keep this job is separate himself from a history of raising hopes only to fall short in the end. He needs this team to keep pounding! believe in themselves and finish the fight! If he can get this team to the Playoffs, not only does he deserve the job going forward but would have completed the most epic turnarounds in team history.

    keep pounding!

Should definitely be out next head coach. I don't want to gamble again on an unknown.

I think it's more of do I see a better option out there. you can clearly see an improvement with play on the field under Wilks as well as more common sense coaching decisions. Rhule was a moron....

And the following seasons two firsts…

that’s called a colossal f up by Fitt

You haven’t posted anything more than poo posts in years dude. If you’re upset that we don’t have the Rams second round pick in the draft next year because we decided to keep burns do you need to step away from football for a bit. I’m glad we kept Burns and this isn’t even close.

if that deal had been for a first this year and a first and a second next year I’d have been down for it. But not all 1st and second round picks are created equally and with McVay we have a really big gamble of those being late round first round picks.  I’m good with keeping a known pro bowl level DE over a gamble on a pick.

That DOES concern me. Just so scared of Young’s size.

This, if young was 6’3 225 he’d be the pick. But being barely 6’ and under 200lbs in the nfl isn’t a good combination.

for reference too, Baker Mayfield was all world in college so keep that in my NF when y’all want short dudes

Not likely I'll be here one way or another as I have been before you.

Before me? Lmao. Bro you know I’m one of the few original posters on here right? I literally can say there is only a handful of us still and I know who they are, you’re not one. Lol

Awehhh poor baby chuck can't help but resort to personal insults.

It’s bad when chuck is tired of you. Bro. That’s like the ultimate insult. Only way it could get worse was if fat Alice showed up and said they thought you should go.

  7. Stated for ages that the NFL isn’t gonna move a team out of the Charlotte, there are many reasons for this.

if a team were to move, the Jaguars would be the next one to move.

Jags haven’t had good support for years, this is due to poor performance and market saturation from the NFL and Collage. The Florida Gators are literally right next door if you didn’t know and you have more storied franchises like Miami and Tampa in state. Nobody outside of a few fringe fans would miss them if they moved.

Top 4 DT in the league you say?

He’s playing a lot better this season than last. He was looking like he was on his way out of the NFL last year. Glade to see he turned things around

    It’s time we moved on.

I’m sorry am I missing something? Shaq hasn’t been playing badly, he’s actually been pretty solid. So why is everyone wanting us to move on?

Shaq is easily the 4th or at worst 5th best player this season on Defense, has been consistent top 3-4 defensive player the last 3 seasons.

people need to take a chill pill.

Would you take DJ over any of the above? That was a quick 22 and I’m sure I’m forgetting some.

ROFL, You clearly are missing the point. But I’ll play along with your silliness, I’d take DJ over 9 players you listed.

you can’t use this season against DJ. He’s been open all fuging season, but Baker forgot the dude was on the team. Before baker when out I cannot even count how many times DJ was wide open and Baker would throw the ball at someone else. Can’t blame a proven quality WR for the crappiest QB play the Panthers have seen this side of Clausen.

This morning all the pre-game shows were talking the bad roughing the passer calls on Brady and  Carr. If Brady takes the hit that PJ got, very ref on the field would throw the flag. plus it was helmet to helmet. That’s why everyone is calling out the refs. They need to call it straight down the line. If your star QB gets flags for someone touching them … even a 4th depth chart QB should get the same calls.

One of the morning shows, one of the guys said refs used to call after the game and apologize for missing calls, that doesn’t happen anymore.

if the referees that FOX hired to report what they see, says that’s a bad call on national tv …. THAT WAS A TERRIBLE CALL

Only quoting to point out that one of the broadcasters was openly cheering after the hit, calling it a great play.

for a league that’s about safety having a broadcaster cheering a helmet to helmet hit that took the teams QB out is a bad look.

DJ is an average #2 WR. His ceiling is similar to Allen Robinson which is helpful when paired with a stud like Cupp. If Robinson or Moore are your #1, your offense is in trouble.

I don’t think that’s fair. I mean DJ has until this season been putting up good numbers despite terrible QB play, he’s no Steve smith, but probable a top 15 WR for sure. He’s getting paid too 10 money.
