Fug that, I wanted them to spoil the Bucs playoff chances
Meh. I'm consoled by the fact that I'll get to enjoy the absolute embarrassment of a loss whoever wins this division will suffer in the super wildcard weekend.

Good showing by Bryce and a winning effort. But our draft position improves.
I see this as an absolute win!

was thinking the same thing, JT is far from finished developing, he needs more development. If it were year 3 maybe, if it were a vet, sure, but a rookie in first season, nah he needs more reps cuzz dang this class could be special.
I agree he could still develop, but I think that could still be developed in practice. Just after a scary injury like that, I'm nervous to see him get reps in a live game situation when the best possible outcome is nothing more than worsening our draft selection.
That said, I'm 100% not a doctor, so if he's clear to play, he wants to play, and there's no potential of aggravating this injury (which by all accounts it doesn't seem that is the case for this type of injury) then go for it, I guess.
But you hit the nail on the head. This draft class is really impressive. I can't remember the last time I was so impressed with a rookie that I'd actually prefer shutting him down. His game is so apparent that he doesn't need to prove anything at this point. Can't remember the last time that happened!

We're seen enough of JT. Shut him down for the season.
We know he's a stud. We know he's a core building block of our offense. We know receiving TE isn't a pressing need in the draft. And we know we're not in the running for the playoffs. What else do we really need to know?
There's nothing to be gained by sending him back out this season.

You can't blame Bryce when JT ran another 10 yards after the catch.

He asked for his release and they quickly granted it.
They were having him play scout team safety yesterday. How do you not ask to be released?

Quote
"He looked pretty good, didn't he?" Shurmur said. "We sort of knew that when we picked him."
I'll always remember that quote about Jones after 1 preseason game.
But when you remember the guy who picked him was Dave Gettleman, it all starts to make sense.

I think that's pretty good. Got no issue w/ Jaguar over Panther. Think Jaguars got the strongest bite of all the cats and the Panther doesn't got the weight of the others.
I think the Dolphin is the one I'd dig in on as being misplaced. I'd put it over at least the bottom 2 birds
Panthers are just melanistic variants of a couple big cat species. So odd are, our Panther IS a Jaguar. So unless we're assuming our panther happens to be a black leopard, the panther being ranked lower than the jaguar is just patent racism.
And a dolphin would absolutely demolish any of the birds on that list. Unless we're assuming the fight has to be on the land for some reason:
I have many methodological qualms with this rating scale!

The turf has a better chance of beating the Chiefs than the Panthers do.
...and honestly, it might.

BOA stadium (and others) need more crowd singalongs. Germany loves singalongs at their stadiums
This. I've been getting into EPL the last 2 years, and man, nothing matches the atmosphere of a European soccer match. Fight songs, chants, taunts. The stands are never silent. I would love to see this embraced in American football.

IMHO the offensive line is the bedrock of your entire team. It all starts there. Pass play. Run play. Every offensive snap depends on the offensive line winning. And we've all seen great defenses falter when an offense can't sustain drives, and they're going back out on the field gassed after a 3-and-out. It all starts with the O-line. So a big investment in your line, and the interior in particular, is an investment in building a winning team.
These two guards have been worth every penny.

I like McConkey but we could have also drafted Legette lol
Found your post from the alternative dimension where we drafted Ladd and he was catching passes from BY.

Sam Darnold threw three interceptions today and no TDs and won.
Goff completed only 50% of his passes and threw five... No poo FIVE interceptions tonight and won.
A win is a win. And a starting QB should find a way to win an ugly game.

Haters with loser mentality be damned. 2 in a row is something to build on. Let's see the young talent shine!

Most of the people desperate to win this game for the culture will be singing a different tune months from now when we're picking well after the Saints who will assuredly get themselves a stud.
Stop! Just stop!
Picking high guarantees nothing! Have you learned nothing from Bryce? From Ickey? High picks mean nothing. Nothing!
A team that is capable of winning games is much more important. Because #1 on a poo team looks like poo. #8 has a legit chance of making a mediocre team better.

We really going to end up with the #8 pick and Bryce starting at QB again aren't we?
I knew this franchise would screw up the #1 pick. Just some sad poo how we keep doing this to ourselves.
We are bad enough to gift another team the #1 pick, but we aren't bad enough to actually help us smh.
I'd much rather have a confident team and the #8 pick. Bryce (Stroud) and now Caleb Williams (Daniels) prove that the consensus #1 overall doesn't mean poo.

I gotta think defense. O-Line looks good. Could probably shore it up. We have enough offensive skills position weapons. Again, could probably benefit from a game changer.
The Defense lacks talent top to bottom. I wouldn't hate an all defensive draft.
