  1. Wow didn’t think we had a chance Terrific hire
  2. I'm thinking Evero would want to go to a contender. we are not that
  3. EJIRO EVERODC, DENVER BRONCOS Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer reports the Broncos have blocked the Vikings from interviewing DC Ejiro Evero. Evero, who was passed over for the Broncos' head coach job, met with new coach Sean Payton about remaining with the team in 2023. Denver blocked Atlanta from interviewing Evero earlier this offseason but the Vikings are holding out for a chance to hire him away from the Broncos. Denver has been lining up interviews with defensive coordinators, pointing to Evero not being back. In addition to the Vikings, Evero would be a top target for the Rams if DC Raheem Morris lands the Colts' head coach job.
  4. Sense I get from speaking with NFL folks in Mobile is that 4 teams are holding up a ton of movement on the coaching carousel. Super Bowl teams (namely the Eagles) have a lot of potential assistants who could hop to bigger jobs. AZ and Indy taking a while has frozen options too — Mike Kaye (@mike_e_kaye) February 3, 2023
  5. 6 moves that can save the Panthers $50 million against their 2023 cap https://catcrave.com/2023/02/01/6-moves-save-carolina-panthers-50-million-2023-cap/ superior article to Joe Person's lazy one
  6. They probably wait for Monday to interview Steichen in person.
  7. I'm thinking Tepper makes a decision tomorrow. No more interviews no 3rd interview for Wilks or Reich there is no reason to delay this.
  8. VIC FANGIOCS, UNSIGNED FREE AGENT CBS Sports' Josina Anderson reports the Dolphins interviewed ex-Broncos coach Vic Fangio for their defensive coordinator job. According to Anderson, Fangio's interview was more than a run-of-the-mill meeting. Anderson noted that the team was expected to discuss terms and conditions with Fangio and that head coach Mike McDaniel "has a strong affinity" for the long-time coach. Fangio served as a defensive consultant for the Eagles this past season after being fired by the Broncos at the end of the 2021 campaign. Still, the 64-year-old coach remains one of the more coveted defensive coordinators on the market, with years of experience and top-ranked defenses lining his resume. In his final two seasons as the Bears defensive coordinator, Fangio's defense ranked ninth and first in points allowed per game.
