I find it amazing that the kid is so talented that he was the #1 overall pick, and there is anybody saying there is nothing special about the kid.

To say Bryce doesn’t have pride, dedication and commitment is completely ridiculous. He was absolutely pounded last season with no help and never complained once. All he talked about was improving. Stop being an idiot trying to create a problem that isn’t reality.
I stop responding to anybody whom is willing to say stupidity to support their opinion.
I refuse to argue with idiots.

I’ve seen Steve Smith play in person
ive seen Sam Mills play in person
Young is not in the same category Their pride and desire and commitment, off the charts
It isn’t about being as big and strong as Cam Newton. He does, however, need to have certain measurements for the NFL
it is also about having a passion and a belief, no matter what, a TD will happen when required …. He has not demonstrated that
ill repeat something I said before from someone who would know a lot more than me. Bill Parcells said when asked about Young’s measurements ‘he better walk on water’
i don’t know about you but I don’t see any water walking
I've seen them all too, yet my opinion is different than yours. It's all good.

I mean, I don't think anyone would be doubting Bryce if had similar play to those dudes when they entered the league.
Steve Smith rookie year is worth mentioning as a receiver?
Really?
Sam Mills couldn't even get drafted. He had to prove himself other places first.
I get your point, but give Bryce the chance to succeed or not. Please don't bring up last season as a chance.
-
Steve Smith was told he didn't belong on an NFL field.
Sam Mills was told he didn't belong either.
Yes, being bigger and stronger is helpful, but that doesn't ensure a long career in the NFL either, just ask Cam.

Thanks for the tip.
Re Amtrak, I felt the same but gave the Zephyr a try. After some absurd confusion (where like 2/3 of the passengers didn't make the trip) it was totally worth it if you're not worried about a schedule and have a sleeping room. The piece from Denver westward is awe-inspiring (if nature is your thing).
I have actually rode from Kansas to Oakland California, then from Oakland to Houston.
Yeah, if one doesn't care about anything but doing nothing with no expectations of when they're going to get anywhere.
My experience won't let me board another Amtrak. I have read plenty of people's accounts where they had amazing times.

Ok so, we know Reno, but what restaurant?
Also, while not as good, you could also have a (much more average, but not terrible) steak while riding Amtrak from Reno to SF. If you haven't done that yet, you owe it to yourself. Especially in winter or early spring.
The Village Steakhouse in Sparks. Next to the TA Truck stop.
I refuse to ride amtrak ever again.

Nowhere did I say an owner shouldn't be/isn't involved at all, so an unnecessary strawman there on your part. Your last paragraph is also idiocy because, as I said in my initial post, it's about priorities. If an owner's priority is to win then they may need to set the ego aside sometimes. Just because 'that's how it's done' doesn't mean it's for the best and some owners are sure better at things than others. Isn't that really the crux of it and what Carolina fans have been living since Tepper took over?
Perspective is a funny thing.
I promise you, from Teppers perspective, it's not about ego at all. That is a fans perspective towards a person whom they obviously don't like or admire.
It's absolutely about priorities. They listened to everyone they pay money to do their jobs, and put their stamp on the finial decision.
I know it seems to be a badge of honor to hate the billionaire owner of the team. I know it's easy to lay all blame at his feet. Why the hell not?. There are no real consequences for being wrong or right in that slanted perspective.
Richard on approved every QB too, including Cam. Good thing the fans like Cam, or they would have turned on Richardson far sooner then the knowledge of casual Fridays.

Brady's NFL accomplishment don't qualify him better than Greg.
I realize the contract that Brady has signed has tied the hands of Fox, but that doesn't change the fact that they are idiots for demoting the best commentator they've had in recent memory.

And that's a problem. What is the owner paying their football people for if not to be the most knowledgeable about football-related decisions/items in their organization? Guess it just depends on what their priority is.
Every NFL team owner is going to be a part of the FINIAL decision on any drafted QB that is to be the starting QB and potentially the face of the franchise.
That's not a problem. That is how it's done. You'd be no different if you owned the Panthers. Don't argue otherwise, because it would be complete bullshit on every level.

A bit on the homer side but I wouldn’t hate it. Those stats mean we will win more games.
Those stats are quite pedestrian in today's NFL.
Not homerish at all.

sure, but that's equating all 32 owners as doing the same thing in terms of decisions of a roster. Which we know isn't true. We know some owners flat out have overruled GMs/HCs on big picks.
Now, we don't know Tepper did that. I'm making a guess/assumption that the reporting was correct....and he trumped others inhouse.
I, honestly don't care.
If I was a team owner, they'd draft the QB I wanted. Period. End of discussion. This isn't a democracy.

Every Owner in the league, signs off on the QB being selected.

That looks like a damn good steak.
Mouth watering, melt in your mouth tender, full of flavor.
It is a must have every time I come through Reno.

Footwork can seriously deteriorate behind a bad offensive line. Unfortunately, our offensive line was very offense last season, to Bryce. The best in the game lose their footwork in those situations. For that matter, that's how you beat the best QB's in the game, by getting them out of their rhythm. Getting up in their face, preventing them from stepping up, and getting them off their platform.
Footwork also has to be consistently worked on to be consistently good. It's not like riding a bike.
Plus, with a new head coach, that is QB focused, installing a new system, is going to (or should be, frank) teach the QBs how they want their offense to.be executed.
It's not just Bryce being taught, it's every QB on the team.

I still cannot believe what I witnessed last season. Nothing about that staff turned out to be Allstars. For a group that claimed to be all in on a qb they did absolutely nothing to help him be a better qb or win games. That offense was horrendous.
I agree 100%
Enjoyed blackened prime rib from my favorite steak house here in Reno last night. Thought I'd share with a fellow prime lover.

I don't see Bryce as a bust. He has the talent to make it in the NFL.
Since he is a Panther, as we have him for AT LEAST another season, I'm hoping he turns it on this season and shows not only the franchise and it's fans, but also the entire NFL that be belongs.
If not, then it's just another setback for this franchise. I really don't care to rehash the mistakes this franchise has made. Every franchise has made some bone headed mistakes.
Bryce, Keep Pounding.

I was already on record for the Panthers to go after Dak when he wanted his last extension.
He isna very good QB and a natural leader.

I'm also not worried about the back end of the defense if the line can't do it's job.
Trench warfare.
Does anyone actually think Bryce will actually be good?

Oh my gawd, I can't believe anyone in this franchise is so stupid to draft this kid over stroud!
There us nothing special about this kid
He doesn't belong on the field
He'll never stand up to the punishment of the game.
He has no accuracy
He has no pocket awareness
He can't make any of the throws with that noodle arm of his
He can't see what he's doing out there
He gets tackled by a finger
It's his fault the oline and receivers were trash last season
The kid doesn't even care enough about football to work out!!
Y'all will say ANYTHING.
