If true then this is another nail in the coffin of the entire FO. QB is by far the most important position on the field. If you think there’s a Peyton Manning and a Joe Flacco available and you’d rather take Flacco later and get a 2nd and a 3rd, you are beyond stupid.
This team just offered 3 1sts and other things to Houston for Watson. If they even have an inkling that Willis/Pickett are top tier and are willing to settle for Corral and a 2nd and 3rd, that’s beyond moronic. If they think all three are just OK and have 0 separation then draft a LT and go for broke in 2023 and find the QB you love.
I mean, needing a QB badly doesn't make the QBs any better prespects. I'm not convinced there are any elite QBs in this draft. Not much difference between first, second, third round prospects

Do you realize you are the most unliked person here and on Twitter?
It's tiring watching people constantly slap you around.

No chance. Corral will be there in the 20s, perhaps Pickett too.

I think a guy like Corral might do well in the offense that Rhule wants. Run focused and play action passes. If we can do that while also picking up a 2nd and third rounder to beef up the OL I would be happy.

Maybe. I think the Panthers may prefer taking Corral and getting a second and third rounder with the trade back

“Those in the Panthers organization view Malik Willis, Kenny Pickett and Matt Corral as the top quarterbacks in this draft class, worthy of first-round picks"
From the observer.
Expect a trade back and a selection of one of these guys.

LSD?
Man ain't joking around. He might do time.

Latest whispers say the Panthers are willing to trade Darnold plus a young player just for a team to take his contract.

BC is not a guard. If they want a better LT, BC should be backup swing tackle/emergency OG
They have him graded higher at guard than tackle.

Here we are after a week of free agency. IMO, the Carolina Panthers improved their roster by a good amount.
Picking up two new good starters on the offensive line has to be the top story so far. The right side of the line now looks as good as it ever has. A LT is still needed as Brady Christensen is likely playing left guard this season.
Signing D'Onta Foreman makes a CMC trade more likely, imo. Foreman is a starting caliber RB in this league.
Locking up DJ Moore, who could be an elite WR in this league if ever given a good QB was a solid move.
Reddick is gone, but Luvu and Haynes are back. Both these guys have an insane motor. While they may not hit Reddick numbers, the drop off isn't as much as you would think.
I really like the Xavier Woods signing. Woods showed his potential with the Vikings last season after having an up and down career with the cowboys.
Sleeper move is the Matt Ioannidis signing. Getting pressure on the QB from the middle of the defensive line has been lacking for the Panthers. This move will make Brian Burns job easier.
Here is a recap of what all transpired:
- Agreed to terms with LB Cory Littleton
- Agreed to terms with CB Donte Jackson
- Signed WR DJ Moore to contract extension
- Signed G/C Bradley Bozeman
- Agreed to terms with P Johnny Hekker
- Agreed to terms with DT Matt Ioannidis
- Agreed to terms with LB Damien Wilson
- Agreed to terms with unrestricted free agent G Austin Corbett
- Agreed to terms with unrestricted free agent RB D'Onta Foreman
- Agreed to terms with unrestricted free agent S Xavier Woods
- Agreed to terms with unrestricted free agent WR Rashard Higgins
- Released DE Morgan Fox
- Re-signed WR Brandon Zylstra
- Re-signed DE Marquis Haynes Sr.
- Re-signed S Sean Chandler
- Released CB A.J. Bouye
- Re-signed K Zane Gonzalez
So, if you had to grade week 1 what would you give it?
Personally, I think it is a solid B. Still need a LT or QB.

Rhule says giving CMC fewer reps at RB diminishes his value
in Carolina Panthers
Posted
Matt Rhule says Panthers can move Christian McCaffrey around, "but at the end of the day he's a back." Says to take him out of the backfield for significant amount of snaps diminishes CMC's value.
I know something else that has diminished CMCs value greatly.
