What service do you have? DirectTV has some BS message about the pissing contest they’re having with Nexstar over pricing, so they’ve got a message saying they won’t show it. I’m about to switch carriers.

Its not "just a sport" these people are professionals paid millions to perform. If a CEO was making millions, performing poorly, and uploading videos goofing off on the internet, how would that go over? Everyone knows the NFL is a business. Millions of panther fans base their happiness, at least partially, on team performance. Stop acting like this is a group of kids playing at recess and wake up to reality
They're paid entertainers. You're taking it way too seriously if your happiness or anyone else's depends on professional athletes 'taking their job seriously.' Sports fandom should augment your happiness, not be the main source of it.

Nothing I hate more than Cowboys fans bragging about past(WAY PAST) victories. I love to see it from the players on the field. That's a huge part of what made 2015 so magical. I just prefer leave the braggadocio to the players who did the work to earn it.

I got to wonder about who is writing this stuff for the post and what connection they have to WM. Reason being I saw a similar article about boxed yellow cake mixes a few months back in the WashPo and guess which one came out on top ? Wal marts - over betty crocker, duncan hines and all the rest. Seems a bit fishy to me, not that I have any problem buying store brands to save money.
More and more, it feels like everything everywhere is a commercial disguised as info-tainment.

I liked the original book/movie, A Man Called Ove. It really, truly didn't need to be remade. It's a great story, and there are several other books by the author that are like it. There's also a series on one of the streaming services with characters he developed.

Of all of the posters on this site, I can't think of any less qualified to start a 'never forget' thread than @TheBigKat.

Michael Lombardi said he wasn't coachable. Wingo just said that there was stuff that was giving Carolina pause and then his co-host spoke for most of the clip.
I said Wingo is a piece of poo for spreading rumors, I never specified which rumors. Not sure why you think one is better than the other, but okay. If you come on my show and I let you spread misinformation, that's on me. He's been doing this long enough that you can't chalk it up to 'just letting the other guy talk...'

Wingo didn't spread that he wasn't coachable tho?
WTF? It's right there in the first post.

You might find this crazy but I watched Requiem for a Dream last weekend for the first time. I had no idea any connections at all. I thought it was ok…but definitely interesting. I must be used to disturbing movies cuz it was just meh. The final scene with the girls bothers me mostly because of the jackel people in this world. That can’t be fun to watch
I just found it super depressing, which was the point I guess. Watching the girl from Labyrinth, who I had a huge crush on as a kid, sucking dick and doing live sex shows to score drugs for herself and her loser boyfriend was just a huge bummer, haha.

Trey Wingo is a real piece of poo to spread rumors like this, especially when draft order affects how much money these guys make on their first contract. We're lucky that we have two strong prospects like Young and Stroud to choose from. I'll be happy with either one.

Reich...
Love the sound of that
One of the reasons the Patriots had such a good run was an emphasis on smart players. They put a premium on football intelligence, and it looks like we're going to do the same.
I'm all for it.
Reich says he wants smart AND high character guys, so that reduces the pool a bit. You have to be smart to cheat that long without getting caught, so for the most part Pats players are smart, but I would never call them 'high character' guys.

Completely unnecessary post. We really are in the dog days of the offseason, aren't we?

Panthers media team needs to get to work on an augmented reality bit where a Great White shark eats the other team's mascot whole whenever DJ scores a touchdown.

If I'm overthinking it, which is the point of this question, I would order something easy to eat, that wouldn't be a huge issue if were to get cold if I was answering questions or making eye contact with the interviewers. Maybe a salad with steak on it. I wouldn't have a drink, unless I was known to be a drinker, because they'll already know that and would probably think that completely abstaining around them is a 'move.'
If I'm being honest, I'm getting a steak, medium rare, and a green side. I usually drink water, and have a single glass of red wine with red meat. I'd probably ask the server's recommendation for a good wine to pair with whatever I order, or I might ask someone in the group, if it's already come up that they're really into wine.
I'm not a blue chip college QB though, and they're probably used to taking charge, so I would expect them to be polite but assertive with their choices. Also, steak houses are the worst, because everything is a la carte, so you have a ton of plates taking up table space. I know it's dumb, but I would notice whether the QB prospect let the plates crowd his personal space, or if he made a deliberate attempt to reorganize/move them to make his table space more usable.

I get the feeling that Eddy is mentally tougher than a lot of posters give him credit for. Him getting rattled and missing that kick sealed our defeat and pretty much doomed our chances of taking the division, and everyone on the team and in the stands knew it. Coming back and making every kick for the remainder of the season, with the coach's (who took a chance on him and refused to cut him) job on the line, takes a lot of mental fortitude. I hope he carries it into next season.

As McAfee so eloquently puts it, the NFL is the all-stars of each class stacked on each other for a decade.
The SEC simply doesn't compare I'm afraid.
Well if Pat McAfee said it...lmao.

My point is, nobody knows, because there's not some pile of washed up blue chip college QBs who failed because they were 'too small.'
You guys touting measurables sound like a bunch of amateur phrenologists. So silly.

Just now, Wolfcop said:
Who had similar measurables?
Exactly. So you're saying that all of these idiots think that a guy who dominated in the SEC, against the best college competition, is going to have trouble in the NFL because he's small? Based on what data? That's some Matt Rhule analytics nonsense.
BTW, Drew Brees played at like 15-20 lbs heavier and he turned out all right.
-
What other small, blue chip QBs, with similar measurables to Bryce Young, didn't make it through their first few years in the NFL?
People talking about his size being an issue as if there's some mountain of evidence of this, when it all boils down to most of you just repeating what you've heard others say.

This thing reads kind of like you’re trying your hand at sports writing or maybe trying out to be a character on WFNZ. Yikes.
