I'm not worried about this, just because the Texans did it doesn't mean the whole league will

Is that just nostalgia talking? From what I read, he has been a liability lately on tape. He has been getting benched if I recall correctly.
I'm not nostalgic towards him, I think he could play fs at this stage of his career

I dont think he was moving the needle either way but without knowing the details its a curious move. And I wonder if there was any trade for draft comp on the table?
If there was a trade they would have taken it.

He ain’t coming back. His attitude seems to be a problem, and one of the reasons why he has been operating on one year deals for so many teams.
When he signed his two year deal here, reporters asked him why he signed for 2 years here. He said every deal is a 1 year deal

My older brother played a prank on my dad by putting holes in his condoms. My mom ended up getting pregnant, but we later found out that my dad had a vasectomy after my older brother was born. This information came out during the divorce trial so I was told.
Are one of you guys, my daddy?
Story doesn't track, why would you use a condom after you had a vasectomy?

Moose Muhammad was known for drops too. He had 724 yards during his first two seasons combined and only 1 TD. His catch percentage was below 50%.
He had a 14-year career and played in 2 pro bowls.
So was Terrell Owens and hes in the hall of fame

I already said things like speed and athleticism you either have it or don't. Like Tet's size and wingspeed. But a big knock on Tet was that he didn't play as physically as you would expect given his size and strength. In fact he struggled against press coverage and couldn't get separation off the line or off the top of his break which is why he has so many contested catches to begin with. He was not great taking balls away like a Mike Evans was and would struggle against physical corners in the NFL. But he has what you can't coach. That is why we drafted him. What he lacks can be taught.
Legette has good size and speed. He actually could get separation but couldn't catch the ball using poor technique. Once again those skills can be taught. Both Legette and Tet have great physical skills and will complement each other. They are clearly different but I don't share your belief that their deficits can't be coached or remediated. One question with both of them will be their willingness to be physical in the run game and play with aggression.
They knew XL was a project, but people want to give up on him because of some drops

Completely disagree. Being a contested catch monster like TMac is absolutely athleticism. WRs don’t just magically learn that. You’ll hear about it when people say he’s got great body control and snatches the ball away from defenders. That’s not learned. Same with body catching versus hand catching at 24+. At this point, you are who you are. You can improve a bit but someone like Amon-Ra St. Brown has been on his Jugs machines probably a couple hundred thousand times more than XL has been. You can’t just learn that in an offseason.
Oh well, the blind faith in XL is impressive. It’s like I’m talking bad about Steve Smith in his prime.
Its not blind faith, we just aren't jaded and can see that he provides something needed that isn't on this team. Like it or not, he is our only deep threat, jump ball guy, Tmac isn't that yet. He is the fastest and biggest reciever we have. He is really good at getting position on CBs and he also blocks downfield. Tmac is going to take adams role and get the most targets, Coker will be third and we better hope Theilen is 4th or 5th.

Omg...the last game against the bucs where bryce hit em on a fly route down the sideline and the ball was severely underthrown and folks on here were mad because XL couldn't turn around on a route and make a catch with a defender covering him that was between him and the ball. That really took me out.
Yea the huddle gave him about 20bdrops where as most sites give him 7 or 8. Fun fact... people love Moore who has very similar drop rate as XL

Odds are 0%that we get #1 no matter what anyone says

I’m not too critical, he was close to 100 targets. I don’t know if drops weren’t an issue but he had one season so it’s hard to extrapolate. He had 7 games of 94+ yards his only big season. He did that against Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, Furman, UNC, Florida and Jacksonville St. he had 71 yards or less against Georgia, Tennessee, Clemson, Texas A&M and Missouri. Basically, good games against teams under .500 in the SEC and the meh OOC teams and meh games against the .500 or better in the SEC and Clemson.
I wanted McConkey so maybe I am jaded a bit but we have 3 WRs better than him right now on the roster and maybe more if another rookie flashes. I don’t think they will limit him as much as he’s got to step up his game to earn anywhere near the targets he had last year.
He had 84 targets but I wonder how many were catchable. Bryce threw him a lot of shitty balls

If anyone snap shares are going to go down I think will be AT.....or at least I hope.
We should be rolling out Mac, XL n Coker IMO at this stage of the game
This is what i think. ATs role will be diminished this year

His piece of the pie is only going to get smaller unless there are serious injuries. Unless the actual pie becomes that much larger, ie Bryce being Kurt Warner, I don't think there's room for him to breakout. Just like there's not room for JT Sanders to break out beyond a couple hundred yards receiving and a few TDs.
I don't think a lot of people understand the volume that XL got last year.
He got alot of volume in targets but there was a lot of bad targets thrown his way because they used him a lot on deep routes

WR talent includes hand catching, body control and contested catching/snatching the ball. If you don’t have that at 24+ years old, I don’t think you can say he definitely has the talent to breakout.
Also, it’s highly likely that XL’s snap count goes down. Thielen and Coker only played 10 and 11 games last year. Legette played 16 games and had 50% more snaps than Thielen and Coker. Add in a true #1 WR, a real 3rd down RB, more rookie WRs and a rookie TE and unless Young throws for 4000+ (he and Dalton had 3400 last year), XL’s opportunities don’t look better this year.
Personally, I think the top 3 WRs will be TMac, Thielen and Coker and XL rotates in as needed.
They are not going to limit his plays. You are way to critical of him. He is really the only deep threat we have on the team. He does things well and his only issue last year was drops, which wasn't an issue in college. He caught a lot of passes that were just really bad throws as well

There's nothing wrong with Sanders, he's a good receiving TE. Canales just doesn't use the TE that way. He won't get the looks to break out.

Lol so we have to be Ravens now? You think every team has Lamar. We don’t need Bryce to be Lamar or Josh Allen, just be the best version of himself and we’ll be in great shape
He not saying he needs to be Lamar. He's saying they even sub a TE for Lamar on sneaks. Which we should do as well

Well he averaged 226 last 7 games so he’s trending in that direction. 230 average is attainable especially with more weapons now
3842 25 10 would be a really good year for him and would shut most of his doubters up. I have been a harsh critic of his, but I hope he can contjnue to play like he did the final 10 games last year. I would like him to clean his footwork up tho.

It's like people forget he was a number 1 overall pick.

Why can't they just bring in someone like Tremble to run a tush push like play on "and 1" situations?
