Panthers better make something out of this next drive, it's about to get ugly.
They score again it’s pretty much a wrap. This is what I was afraid of - we’re playing like we’re just happy to be in the playoffs.

There’s that solid tackling we’ve come to know and love….pathetic!

This team was not prepared for this game
We’re NEVER prepared for prime time. This is what I hate about this team. The brighter the lights, the more timid we get.

Etienne? I'm scratching my head. Wtf are we doing?
Who knows WTH the Panthers are doing because we sure don’t look like we’re trying to win this game!

Cannot tackle, cover or contain Puca
Our tackling has been atrocious all year. Good 3rd down stop though.

In his 2nd year, Seahawks’ Mike McDonald has his team sitting atop the NFC at 13-3. Meanwhile, we’re struggling to win consistently in Canales’ 2nd season and need help to back into the playoffs.
Why can’t we ever have nice things?

Probably Evero. His contract is up after this season. Can’t see Dowdle sticking around with Brooks coming back next season.

Fitz...didn't get all of that one.
We should consider adding a veteran kicker in offseason. Fitz not consistent enough.

I don’t think we did Cam any favors with the oline we put in front of him. DT at tackle etc…Him getting drilled in the pocket ala Denver, Atlanta etc shortened his career more than him running. We had the mentality that an average at best oline and one good receiving option was good enough cause we had “Superman”. I’m glad that this administration sees it differently
JR, Hurney/Gettleman and Rivera really failed Cam with slightly-to-below average talent at the Tackle spots after Gross,Wharton and Oher left. Our Guards/Center were fine but we never seemed to have a premium starting 5 in front of him during his time here. Same with WR’s. We always seemed to give preference to the D when it came to adding talent.

I thought it's about NT Deone Walker...

The 2nd round picks of this team are nothing but a death sentence for your career! Seems like after Foster we have like a 10% success rate with 2nd rounders.
I hope Scourton can change that!

That $7.7 million in cap savings will allow Dan to bring in a CB and FS
His release also opened cap space for the rookies, including UDFAs. I hate it but it’s the nature of the beast and we have a logjam at Edge.

Watching his highlights, this guy has some slick spin moves and incredible balance. If he can somehow regain his form with us, our receiving corps is gonna be downright lethal.

Yup, after the first couple of weeks I thought we had ruined him. Clearly zero trust in his OL and receivers and a lot of bad habits developed. Classic case of a guy that shouldn’t have started year one, not because he lacked the talent, but because the team around him was so clearly terrible and it hurt his development. I still don’t know who to blame for that debacle, I think Reich is a better coach than that even if he’s no Vince Lombardi, and nothing really got better once he was fired. Thomas Brown looks like he might have been a pretty major culprit, he didn’t appear to do Caleb Williams any favors either and that was with a far superior supporting cast. Feeling a lot more optimistic and I think this could be a fun season.
This take is
on point! Lots of conflicting ideals and a terrible roster would traumatize any QB, let alone a rookie. I’m glad the organization finally seems to be heading in the right direction.

Re Center I think last year’s UDFA center Andrew Raymond is still on the roster.

Carolina has been looking for a true FS for 20 years now.
Yup. Hadn’t had one since the Kurt Coleman days.

Wouldn’t go that far (the Browns had a helluva draft) but it speaks to this team’s direction under Morgan/Tilis/Canales. It’s certainly a refreshing change from the past few years.

I did, it says ulcers in the colon (butt). I'm sorry he can't have indian food anymore.

good one though it’s really no joke. I know a few friends and family members that suffer with this condition. -

From what I can tell from Jags fans on their forums, they plan to extend him with a new contract rather than use the option. The fifth year option would make him one of the highest paid LBs in the league and it's cheaper to just give him a new deal.
Makes sense. Worth keeping an eye on.

He started 2022 off well, got a concussion that kept him out for a month, and when he returned he sucked for the next year+. Maybe he got a butt ulcer during that time too but it seems pretty clear what actually happened.
SMH
you may want to research what UC is my dude. It’s definitely not a “butt ulcer”.
It’s actually quite debilitating and painfuL

Based on his tape, he reminds me of Frankie Luvu - a heat seeking missile but just a raw, unpolished version. He’s definitely got the talent if we can develop him.

If Evero goes, who do you want
in Carolina Panthers
Posted · Edited by Prowler2k18
If Evero leaves, I really hope and pray we can get a DC that can have us playing D at the level of Seahawks or Texans. Their defensive play is phenomenal! No missed tackles, gets off the field on 3rd downs and able to completely lockdown their opponents. That’s ideally the DC we need.
