  1. Didn’t see this coming. Looks like the Panthers are methodically purging the staff to bring in new blood. Jonathan Cooley wasn’t  selected for the Jags’ DC position, and this move + potential hiring of Renaldo Hill shows we’re shaking things up on the defensive staff.

Would be a good hire for them if it works out. Cooper’s a good coach but I wouldn’t lose sleep if he gets an opportunity elsewhere, especially after last season’s defensive performance.

Sorry I meant Jonathan Cooley. Good interview and seems like a bright coach. I think the team is already preparing to lose him with the hires announced today.

For folks looking to find out more rather than just tossing out frustrated hot takes, check out the interview he did with The Athletic. I can see why Evero brought him with.

all I know is the couple clips of the Jags new HC.....man does he come off poorly.

Well, Trevor...you will always be a Clemson GOAT/college footbal GOAT.   You at least have that.  This dude ain't saving your floundering NFL career.

Listened to his introductory interview. Gives off Matt Rhule vibes to me but he may be what they need. He’ll definitely improve their offense.

Chiefs defense has been dominant tonight, especially in the red zone. Five sacks for 45 yards tonight.

    Make that six.

Make that 8. Houston’s OL is bringing back memories of the early David Carr days and Karlaftis is having a career night. And a block FG to boot (no pun intended).

    It's fantastic, don't hate

Other teams (like the Packers) have a HUGE history of old school songs in their team library in all sorts of genres.  We need more variety of quick, catchy singalongs that are unique to us

We need to take a page out of their book and do the same.

  7. We’re way past DUE for a new anthem.

I hope we replace “Sweet Caroline”, as the song has absolutely NOTHING to do with the Carolinas and makes Panthers fans appear ignorant for singing it after we win. Sorry for the rant but I hate we “adopted” that song.

Free Agents NTs: I'm hoping we get DJ Jones and bring him home.

We have to be getting one of these guys right? RIGHT? I Know they "claim" EJ "likes" undersized NTs for his scheme but I'm more apt to believe that Tuttle was just the best they could get with all the dead money and EJ was just saying he could scheme with an undersized NT not that he prefers it. In what world would you "prefer" your 3-4 to not have a traditional NT? Makes no sense to me but I feel it is honestly the biggest weakness on the team, moreso than Edge or #1 WR but getting one of these NT's in FA fixes it.

For reference this is Shy Tuttle PFF: image.thumb.png.3eb61b8668ad2599a1218535722b2124.png

    DJ Jones PFF:

Similar stats but twice the run defender at the same position. Would help a lot.

DJ Jones makes $10M AAV Shy Tuttle... $9.4M AAV, he has GOT to go. Cutting Tuttle would save $6.5M on the cap, then go pay what you have to to a real NT so we can stop the run next year.

I’d be happy with Jones or Hill. Either of those guys would pair nicely with Brown and Robinson. Javon Hargrove could be another option, as he’s sure to be a cap casualty after a brief stint with the 49ers.

Good for Steve. I think game has passed him by but he still has some old school tricks up his sleeve.

I really like Wilks, but one has to wonder why he hasn’t been retained beyond a year or two at previous stops, including here?

I really hope he finds success and sustainability at his next stop.
