Welp, none seeing the field
Wow all our captains out of commission. SMH. Injuries are mounting.

Deven Thompkins on his way back?
Would be nice if true. We need all the help we can get with Thielen on the shelf and Tompkins’ speed will definitely open things up.

Geez we can’t ever catch a break. Looks like Zavala or Christensen is on deck.

For once….the answer was indeed on our roster!
Great win and it’s about damn time!

Been ages since I’ve seen the offense look this good. Canales is looking like a genius.

I wouldn't be surprised if Tepper is actually ok with this - he probably wants to see if it's truly Young that is a lost cause, or if the investment made into the offensive side of the ball this season was a waste of $ (and whether or not his handpicked QB guru coach actually knows what he's doing).
Agree it’s impossible to evaluate the offense with QB play being what it is. I think Tepper had no choice but to concur with this decision.

I think the vets spoke up and canales listened .
The frustration of Theilen, Johnson and probably the rest of the offense dictated a change is needed. OL improved play and open receivers has translated to several missed opportunities. It’s also obvious the kid’s confidence is shot at this point.
I feel sorry for him but maybe sitting for a while and observing/learning from the sidelines (which should’ve probably been done last year) is what’s needed to salvage any prospects of his pro career.

he looks NOTHING like his college self. This young man is broken inside, no passion, no zest, just ho-hum BETA BOY with no ALPHA DOG QB1 fire
I lay blame to 70% is Young was never going to succeed in the NFL and 30% this organization is a total dumpster fire and can’t develop a QB
I agree to an extent but I blame the organization and particularly David Tepper 75% for bringing Bryce Young onto this clusterfudge of a team. His confidence is totally shot after last season and he should be benched to salvage whatever prospects he may have of an NFL future.

Has anyone ever ended up drafted a QB #1 and 3 years later drafting another QB at #1?
The Cardinals drafted QB Josh Rosen first round of the 2018 draft prior to taking Kyle Murray @ #1 in the 2019 draft.

They traded all that for a guy that has to jump in order to get the ball over the oline.
Utterly embarrassing.
This is what happens when you have an owner that thinks he knows what he’s doing. I’d trot BY out every week of it meant Tepper finally understands that he needs to let football people make football decisions.

We’re even getting penalized on the kickoff. SMDH!
and our run D is straight ass. If I were the Chargers, I’d run the rock the rest of the game.
-
And another positive plan negated by a dumb penalty.

Hubbard and Horn the only two playing worth a damn.

Very promising, has played well, and he is from Asheville. Good job in first game of season and pre-season.
They need to start working him more and see what they got. Not very impressed with Jules so far and Shaq is just okay.
A good pick by Morgan.
I agree about Jewell. Would like to see us break in Trevin Wallace alongside Shaq at ILB to help out run defense.

He didn’t need to meddle this year.
Years of bad decisions have added up to what we witnessed yesterday.
This ^ this is the chickens coming home to roost after years of bad decisions and roster mismanagement. We have no choice but be patient because this won’t be fixed overnight.

Lady Cowboy Fan just said "your little guy there isn't doing so well"
No argument with that. Meanwhile, Dak about to hit the field after signing that $240M contract. Let the good times roll!

I expected us to lose, although not this bad. But the goal with this season is the same it was yesterday. See if we have a qb in Bryce (and it seems we have an answer to that question). And if not, get another qb next year.
We shouldn't judge Canales unless we look this bad every game.
Pretty much expected to take our lumps this season. Didn’t expect to get drilled 1st game but this roster has been below average for so long it really shouldn’t be a surprise we’re this bad.

The Saints are out here acting like they won the Superbowl I hope they lose all of their games
The Saints are kicking our arses. Simple and plain. Can’t be mad at them for rubbing it in our faces. We’re just not good. Gonna be a long season.
And our D has been pretty damn disappointing!
-
Why the hell can’t NO ONE hold onto the ball???? Damn!!!!
-
Ground can’t cause a fumble. He lost the ball after he hit the ground. That said, refs will probably over this in favor of the Saints.

Welcome back Mr. Scot…hope you’re doing well and ready for the season!

BREAKING: Panthers signing former 1st round pick CB
in Carolina Panthers
Posted · Edited by Prowler2k18
That’s what this year is all about. Building the roster and establishing a culture and system. Gotta start somewhere. I’m glad we picked up Farley. He could be a valuable contributor in the short term and perhaps a potential starter down the road.
