Good take on Legette.  They love the athleticism, but he still has a lot to do left in his game.  Yes, the Mingo comparison came up here as well.  They show a chart at some point that actually makes me more and more a Pearsall fan. Man, I'm tempted to sang him at #39.

If he's there at #65 I'd be okay with taking a swing, but as a top 40 pick, he's got a lot of refining left to do.  Put like this, on any other team besides Michigan, he's an early day 3 pick.

For me- I see some really strong traits you don’t commonly find in prospects. To your point though, I can see the RM Jr comp because he is intense physically/at the point of attack, but he has really good zone awareness that you need in that Rams/Fangio tree hybrid spot. Not to mention he graded out super high against the run.

Communicates well on field, student of the game, and hearing how he took it up a notch between 2022 and 2023 speaks volumes to what he can do at the next level. I mean, the dude was voted MVP by his peers on that team, made countless big time plays at the biggest moments…I don’t see the shade for him. I can see the dislike for the position but said my take on that front.

My spidey sense just tells me there’s something with him but I’ve been wrong before.

Seems people want this stout outside shut down corner but I love these versatile tweeners that operate in the box and become this dynamic centerpiece. McDuffie was a revelation this past year.

Best defender on the best defense in the nation, started more at CB at Michigan than Arnold side at Bama and is arguably (and statistically) the best ballhawk in the draft. What makes him a work in progress? Yup, you nailed it.  The best defense in the country, so he had the luxury of relentless front 7 pressure.    Michigan's stout D-line allowed him to bait QBs with off coverage looks.  That won't happen in the NFL and he's actually going to have to cover. He's got really bad tackling technique too. So no, I'm not a fan.  At #65? Sure, but stay away in the second round.  He reminds me of Ricky Manning Jr.  Yes, he''l jump some routes for a pick here and there, but left an island to cover more than a few seconds...he's gonna get burned more time than not.

The goal was to get Bryce some weapons and patch up the Oline. We took care of the Oline now it's about getting Bryce some legit weapons.

It's not so much the position of CB as it has to do with the dude isn't that good.  We need a corner, but at #33 and especially for a player that's very much a work in progress (converted WR). It's beyond mind-numbing to even ponder this as a realistic possibility.

If this is true, then I've already about to give up on Morgan.  Hopefully this is some sort of smoke screen. This would be a HORRIBLE pick at #33.

He has a show in the upstate weekdays from 4pm-6pm on Fox Sports radio called 'Game On'.  I tune in sometimes.  You can search it if you don't live locally.

• Q: Is there a TE in this draft that will make us better?  Should we continue to bring along Tremble? 

RB:  Chubba Hubbard had 900 yards last season, but he averaged a meager 3.8 yards.  Of course, with the new OL, that should improve. Sanders shows us what running behind an outstanding OL can do for your career.  He averaged 3.3 yards per carry and fumbled about once every 65 carries (2 fumbles, 129 carries).  However, before coming to Carolina, Sanders averaged 4.8 yards per carry.   His numbers should improve with the new OL. 

• Do we need a feature RB?  Do we need a bowling ball or a Swiss Army knife?  Can we assume that our RB production will improve with our $150m guards? 

OVERARCHING QUESTION:  Is it reasonable to assume that the best "bang for the buck" (players likely to see extensive, meaningful playing time as starters or key rotational players) is to focus on TE, RB, and one more WR?   

UNDERARCHING RHETORICAL QUESTION:  Has MHS lost his mind? 

You've seen my mocks.  I'm taking a RB with the 4th and a TE in the 5th at the earliest, if at all.  I'm firmly in the Estime and Allen camp for RBs and Wiley and Holker camp for TEs.

I like one or the other in the pairings, but the Walter football, I dislike both. Smith-Wade in the 2nd round is a joke.  He's routinely mocked as a day 3 guy.

I've been looking at Cephus for a while.  All dude did was put up numbers.  I guess being at UTSA he's being overlooked.  I have mocked him some late day 3 depending if I failed to get a second WR prior to that.  Not a bad flyer pick if he's still on the board with that #240.

Traded back twice.  First with the Rams; swapped second rounders and picked up a 3rd and 6th. Then traded back a little more in the second with Cleveland get a second in 2025 (which we lack).  Still had a very solid draft.

Like the trade, but meh on the players with those picks.  I don't like the Sainristil pick at all.  Nothing against Stinnott, but we should not be taking a TE that high.  I don't think Braswell will make it to #65.  I like the Ladd pick.

Solid.  I'd be pretty stoked.  I would have taken the top remaining QB at #240 though. That way we don't have to worry about that guy getting away as a priority UFA to another team when the draft is over.  We are good at safety as well.

It appears these draft websites haven't caught the Cuba Hubbard fever some on this board have.  Personally I think hes' a solid RB2, but not a #1, and most of the pundits seem to agree.  Sanders is an afterthought.  I'll take his contract and be an afterthought too.  Poor guy.

Two RBs??? No o line until late. What is the logic for getting a RB at pick 39 instead of a C, WR, DR, or LB?? Corley seems like a project.

Take out Benson at #39 and Rattler at #101 and it's not THAT bad.  Those two picks make it seem horrible. Plug in Legette at #39 and Stinnott at #101, then it doesn't look too shabby.

Wrong thread... should have been in the mock one in the draft sub-forum.  I like it, so I'm not deleting it.

I'm okay with the picks for us, just not excited about them.  Yes, they are picks of need, but I would go elsewhere.  Center is position you can address nearly anywhere in the draft, second round is too high for me.  Edge I'm more okay with taking a guy in the second round, but I'd rather wait until the 3rd.

I'll pass.  We've had enough 'meh' TEs around here lately.  If we take one, it had better be later on.  There's too many more solid position groups to pick from before taking a stab at a weak, VERY weak, TE group.   Again, day 3 guys are flyer picks, so try one there.  WR, CB, OL and Edge are deeper and would make MUCH more sense than reaching for TE before day 3.

No, just heck NO! Dude is stiff as a board.  Most of his "highlight" film was the same damn route or a trick play where he was left wide open.

Your 2025 QB class, gentlemen.  If Nix could have played another year, he'd arguably be #1. Hell, Rattler would be top 3.
