  1. Stat line from this weekend: Yowsah! Scored all sorts of ways... Highlights
  2. McShay loves this kid. I've already looked at some of his tape. He's got all the tools, but not elite...yet. One thing he has you can't coach is size. He's still young and developing. Indiana has a tall order in the Big 10 this season, so there should be a lot of tape on him in the coming months against some really good teams.
  3. I said that teams will watch the end of season film from last year and catch on to the 'adjustments' that Bryce made in the second half of the season last year. Rolling out to his right was a big part of it. Seems the Jags noticed this in film study.
  4. We better not pick up that option either. Seriously.
  5. Smith-Wade was the only one I liked for the value. I gave up getting pissed off during the draft. It's not worth it any more.
  6. And to think Payton Wilson was there for the taking and we kept passing over him, eventually taking Wallace. Wilson looks pretty solid as a Steeler.
  7. Bruh, if we get swept by the Saints I may have to get my Panther tattoo removed.
  8. My guess is Harbaugh wouldn't commit to Bryce and Tepper is all in on little man. He has to be after what we gave up for him. You would think as a hedge fund manager he would know we to cut bait on a losing proposition.
  9. To be fair, he was coming off a major injury and the reason he wasn't taken higher. Any team that drafted him knew it was essentially a redshirt season as he came back from surgery.
  10. "be patient and look for your qb in '24" Hmmm...I was public enemy #1 for saying this. Several of you even gave me the nickname 'Mr. wait-until-next-year.' Heck even QB6 in that draft class looks worlds better than Young.
  11. There is always a dark horse or two that charges to the head of the pack by the end of the season and the reason I went to 11. Mendoza is a name to keep an eye on.
  12. By the same account, I wonder if they dinged him for the shovel pass INT that got gifted back?
  13. Our TE room has been garbage every since Greg left. I have screamed from the mountain tops about this and all we do pick day 3 guys. Yes, Tremble was a 3rd rounder, but by all accounts was a day 3 prospect that Rhule drafted too high. Then there the "steals" at the top of the 4th round.... They 'drop' to day 3 for a reason, they aren't that good. THE Ian Thomas being prime example #1. Dude was like a bad rash that wouldn't go away.
  14. You know what they say about good intentions. By stacking the offense for Young and basically ignoring the defense, Bryce is going to have to play catch up nearly every game all season and we can all guess how that's going to work out. He's his best in a lead and can lean on an effective rushing attack. I just don't see that happening very often with this mess of a defense. I do feel bad for the defense and even Evero to an extent. Derrick Brown is going to need to be a one man wrecking crew.
  15. You have to start from scratch...new coach, GM and QB. Otherwise there will be infighting about who compromised who when things aren't going well if their tenures overlap. All three starting at ground level will have them connected at the hip and give less room fro the inevitable finger pointing during rough patches.
  16. This is not counting Moton's contract which will drop us below $40M and into the low 20's for all team cap space. This didn't have to happen, but the brass went all-in on Bryce. We could have let him walk, went with one of our current guys or signed a RT much cheaper. In an ironic kind of way it's going to cement Bryce's downfall if he can't turn it around. If he's not getting pressured/being sacked and he still stinks, we know Bryce has got to go.
  17. That doesn't mean you have to nearly max out though. It was a desperate signing to keep Bryce's OL fully intact in an attempt to save Bryce's job for 2026 and the coaching staff as well. That's why we went WR in round 1...again and drafted a RB as well as a TE fully knowing our defense needed all the help they could get.
  18. We won't go 0-17, but we aren't making the playoffs either. So people are either going to be gleeful for our 5-ish wins and clamor for "more time" while the other camp will want to clean house. The clean house crowd will definitely have more leverage by the end of the season.
  19. Kinda of like when Hurney went on a GM search as a consultant and the best candidate he found was himself, lol!
  20. I'm sure glad we chose Wallace over Payton Wilson.
  21. Bingo. Harbaugh even reached out to Tepper and got turned down. McCarthy is who I wanted when ol' Dave hired the used car guy. All the Huddle kept saying was "no more retreads." The retreads on the list above actually have done better than the newbies we hired. Reich got shown the door so quickly, we will never know if he could have turned it around. Apparently he wasn't emotional enough--I mean an even keeled coach is the last thing this team needed.
  22. You apparently don't realize unused cap space rolls over to the next season. So yeah, this year's cap numbers affects next year's cap space. I could care less how much cash Moton got from Tepper, I care about how much cap he's taking up.
  23. Our biggest draft bust, no doubt. Not sure where he'd rank in NFL history.
  24. I got pooed for hating the trade up in the first place and then again when I thought Stroud should have been the pick.
