    Best. Player. Available.

Our roster is awful, don't reach for positions. If the BPA at #33 is clearly an OT you take him (I chose OT as the example 'cos we have two highly paid ones and you can't easily shift Ikey inside anymore with our recent FA acquisitions).

At #33, there's really not a reach at most positions of need with exception to TE.  WR, CB, OLB, DL, and OL will have players to choose from without reaching.

I really hope they double dip at WR in the 2nd

We need an edge, literally and figuratively.   There will be plenty of WRs still available at the top of the 3rd round.  Pass rushers drop off fairly quickly.  So WR/OLB at #33 and #39 and then WR again at #65 I'd be cool with.

My new, "I just saw a video that changed everything for me about Edge" selection at #33.  See the strand I started in the draft page---Jonah Ellis.  Utah--a sleeper I would take at #33 and laugh at doubters.

I like him too, not at #33 though.  In a trade back or at #39, sure.  Since we have pick #39 now, I'm firmly in trade back mode unless a steal is on the board as day two starts.  I can't envision a MUST have player at #33 that wouldn't have the same caliber of player six picks later still on the board.  Pick up the extra selection in the mid rounds.  That's where I would take an IOL, specifically a center.

I think Estime has better vision, but Allen just trucks over people. Gonna be great in short yardage.  no more bringing in Dalton.

Estime has some 'wiggle' where Allen is very stiff.  Estime also has a second gear where Allen doesn't.  Allen would be the better battering ram though.

Again, I'm doing back flips if we get either of them.

Round 2 WR Xavier Worthy or Keon Coleman

    Round 2 C Zach Frazier

Round 3 RB  Braelon Allen - Really Really want this guy.  Miss the days of the bowling ball run you over type RB.

Estime or Allen, I'd be happy with either.

Thanks to BC's versatility and the addition of Nijman as a swing OT, the costs we have spent on the OL may save us a roster spot.  First, Brady Christensen has played OT and OG for Carolina, and he has always been a notch below average, according to PFF.  Last season, they talked about giving him looks at center, but his injury prevented that from happening.   Most of his experience here is at G, but he also has swing OT abilities.  Nijman is an excellent swing OT, an important addition that gives us Ekwonu insurance and depth at both T spots.  If you consider Cade May has been mentioned as the new backup Center behind Corbett, then he also has the ability to play 3 positions.  Here is how you have solid depth three deep and you do so with better and fewer players.  In the past, the OL has been a madhouse when a lineman goes down--we had 2.  It seems we had someone new in the game every week.  The OL needs to know the system and they need to communicate.  If I were coach, I would carry 8 total OL on the 53-man roster, saving at least one roster spot, and I would feel confident that I had depth on three levels.  Here is what it would look like:

(I would keep Zavala on the PS to begin the season--he needs it)  Green indicates a free agent addition

We roll with 9 on the 53 man roster.  I think BC gets some snaps at as the primary backup to Corbett.  Mays I would put as the third string center and backup RG.  Zavala will be the primary backup to Lewis.  From week to week, depending on injuries, I can see either/both of them (Mays/Zavala) being inactive.  We probably only roll with BC and Yosh as the active backup linemen assuming the starting five are all healthy.

  7. Not that it matters, but no comp picks next draft due to all the FA signings.  Some teams are getting like 4 or 5 extra picks because they can let quality dudes walk for bigger money elsewhere.  They're confident they can replace them cheaper or in the draft. We suck so bad at drafting and free agency signings that there are numerous voids to fill every off season.  So the cycle continues.  I'm used to it by now.

Shaq just announced he's changing from #7 back to #54.

Mike Williams and Clowney both wore #7 in college. Could mean something, could mean nothing.

Good because LBs wearing single digits looks stupid.

I’m on the Sweat bandwagon as well, would be a spectacular front three

WR at #33, Sweat at #39.  I've mocked him some a while back, but I like how he's start to pop up in other mocks as well.

    G > TE

In our case, absolutely.  However, people can't complain when we chose to stand on the sidelines as the there's a fire sale at another position and we didn't prioritize TE.  Now that the shelf is bare, folks are asking why we aren't signing a TE.  Because what's left isn't much better than what we already have.
