  1. Kurb is still alive and well. I’m still friends with him on all of the social media. He truly is a great man! That’s my bro! He always looked out for me since the early days of the huddle. It definitely makes me sad that he just quit posting here, but that’s life. He still shares his takes on social media and X, but a lot of the huddle vets just grew tired of this format and the environment, I guess? It’s a lot of guys that were valuable contributors here that just stopped posting but are still alive and passionate Panthers fans. Blindsite used to post huge write-ups and was a well-respected poster and then just disappeared. We had one of these type threads several years ago and he checked back in and explained he just lost the motivation to stay active here. It was amazing hearing from him again… I signed up in 04 after coming over from the Charlotte.com boards and been here ever since. (For those that don’t know - this is Proudiddy - had to change the name very recently due to ‘ol tootsie roll penis and the bad press ). I’m forever thankful for all of you, even those who I haven’t had the greatest history with, I still appreciate yall. Many have come and gone, both figuratively and literally, and that has put a lot into perspective over the years. I went from a young, newly married, wide-eyed twenty year-old guy with a baby on the way, to a now forty-two year-old guy, recently divorced and newly re-married guy with my oldest baby now an adult and 5 more kids since. And what ride it has been! You guys have been a much bigger part of my life than I really care to acknowledge.
  2. Agreed. Hasn’t happened to me either, but I feel very strongly about it. That’s not just one of the worst things a woman could do to a man, it’s a power inherent to only women and is one of the worst things a HUMAN being can do to another. A man can’t “hide” a pregnancy or maternity. It’s impossible. And that sucks for anyone that has to go through that. I always got a weird vibe off her and just found her very unlikeable. Annoying even. I’ve always been good at reading people and there was just something about her to me that was off-putting, somewhere under the surface. And here we are… she is despicable.
  3. I wouldn’t be surprised to see us bring in Wagner for both locker room and insurance purposes.
  4. From the “color me shocked” department: https://www.sportskeeda.com/nfl/news-2-coaches-sleeping-dianna-russini-ex-nfl-scout-makes-explosive-allegation-nfl-insider-amid-mike-vrabel-controversy?fbclid=IwdGRleARcc2FleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZAo2NjI4NTY4Mzc5AAEewzDERjBAy5jxTPbP8Ija2jDx4qQ896c0UVEHLnjPIBijkO7vJlzaLJTMJvU_aem_D100v9p70aBHQDBHE6Vm1Q#key2=1973215
  5. Wasn’t a fan of Pavia as a draft pick, but as a UDFA, hell yeah. I want us to sign him, but this guy? Isn’t king the dude that kept breaking those long ass runs against my Tarheels? And broke Colorado early in the season? That dude has some fuging wheels, and from memory, wasn’t too shabby as a passer - but coming from GT, I’m sure that part has to be refined. Great get. Love a young developmental QB to keep on the roster and grow, unlike some people *cough* Plummer*cough*.
  6. Idk what some are seeing, but it’s different from what I am. His highlight reel shows a very fluid and shifty guy, especially for his size. Yes, I’m sure bc of his size, he will excel on streaks and seams, but even the profile they did on him after the pick, they both said and showed that he can run all of the routes. He has great feet and fluid movement outside of his straight-line speed.
  7. Horn Jr is fast and shifty. I feel he was underutilized last season. Hopefully he gets more burn this season. With the big body guys stepping up in Tet, Coker, now CB2, it will allow JHJ to do more both over the top, on option routes, and after the catch. edit: I also forgot we signed Metchie, but I’m still riding with JHJ. I hope he wins that battle. But either of those guys can be that shifty guy to attack the nickel from the slot.
  8. Oh, so he’s a wide receiver. Really excited with this pick.
  9. I bet you would like to thank a Glazer.
  10. What were the character concerns that caused the drop. Not that I care lol.
  11. Ngl, I feel like all of these picks have been BPA, not necessarily need. But my God, that pick might be my favorite of the whole draft. 6’4”, fluid as hell, and runs a 4.3 with soft hands? Some had him as a first round talent. If he pans out and starts opposite of Tet down the line, that is a scary ass duo. Yessir DMo!
  12. fug it. Give me Zxavian Harris.
  13. I don’t feel like we’ve really matched picks to immediate impact/need. but, we did have a killer FA. So we’ll see.
  14. I don’t think so.. I don’t hardly know any of the prospects this year.. I like Hill’s profile though.
  15. The husband definitely needs to get a DNA test done. And I don’t think he’s gonna like the results. Even if the child is his - imagine finding out your son is named after your spouse’s jump off. Pure rage.
  16. Ngl, I can see why everyone hyped Bain despite his short arms, but guys like Campbell always come to mind when it comes to linemen. It matters. Campbell was complete ass. Bain will have to overcome a TON to compensate for those arms, which is why I’m not that mad TB got him. But yeah…
  17. I’m not gonna poo the pick… as always, I’m gonna hope for the best. But, I just don’t get it. The value may be incredible down the road, but right now, it isn’t. The first round pick should always have “start as a rookie” projection, unless you’re a perineal contender, and usually even then… this pick? I just don’t see how it fits. Someone else posted that Morgan said Freeling was the best on their board at our pick and it wasn’t close. I did see that he said we were in the position to take BPA after FA. So from that angle, I get it. But to take a guy who probably won’t play out of injury or situational subs versus guys like Lemon or Thieneman, who would’ve stepped in immediately and started? That one is a head scratcher for me right now. But, in a year or two, this may look like a genius pick.
  18. Damn, forgot that quick we still had DLew and Hunt still because they were both injured all year. So, still not seeing how Freeling sees the field immediately.
  19. Well, I haven’t seen or followed all the pressers this year. Any for that matter. I’ve seen bits and pieces here and there, but very little. But like I said, I expect we drafted him to start… I’m just not sure how that happens with the current group. Unless they kick him inside while Walker is here?
  20. Damn it feels like the Cowboys and Browns have picked 4 times each tonight.
