Don’t like this. Draft picks in the NHL are for the future more so than any other sport. We are good now, losing a blue liner of Tony’s caliber for a bag of lower picks is a toughy. We may strike gold with the picks but we had a really good d-man at a time when our cup window is open. -
Yeah. I can’t put my finger on what the issue is. I think Rod is great, but something is amiss. 4 years and the same issues it seems. We have to get goalie and some firepower and go from there is suppose.

I was thinking maybe we look to move him. I think he is a good leader and very solid. Hope we can work out a deal that matches his age and current skill level.

I like that plan. I hope to keep Staal and get that we need to keep Nino over Tro. KK and Necas definitely need to step up.

I was thinking this same thing. This team will never be the same. Hopefully we make some moves to add firepower and fix goalie. I was thinking how much I will miss Trochek and Staal.

Too late. Should have started the second.

Tampa series is where to make the change if Freddy is healthy. He will be at home and get to settle into the series with the best version of the Canes playing in front of him. We would need some gritty defensive performances against Tampa. Hopefully he is ready.
