  1. Yep, it's really just all about his size. Not one person here thinks he's a garbage QB. Not one. Not one thinks Stroud is THAT much better than Young. Not one. Almost all of us agree Young is as good as it gets as a college QB and could easily translate that into the pros. But here's the thing, not everyone gets to be a pro. Just look at the NBA. Some guys just aren't built for it, and they were amazing in college. It's just the cold, hard truth. Yes, Young could easily prove naysayers wrong and do what Brees and Wilson did ... but the amount of smaller QBs who were all world is small for a reason ... no pun intended. Stroud and Young are almost equal in terms of skill. Young might have the mental edge, Stroud has the physical edge. You just have to ask yourself if you are 100% confident Young can take the physical pounding the NFL will give him. Remember, even with the new QB protection rules, no QB goes untouched. If you think Young will last 15 years or more ... awesome. But the smart gamble is on Stroud.
  2. "Guys, guys ... Young had the WORST WRs in the history of organized football today, and don't GET me started on this past season for Bama. Had Young had better WRs, he would've broken every passing record in NCAA history! And his O-Line ... OMG ... straight traaaaash. MEANWHILE, guys ... guys, Stroud had like ... the best WRs we've ever seen since like the football became a thing at his pro-day, and during the season his O-Line and WRs were SO good they could've replaced like, any NFL O-Line and WR." Never change, somepeopleonthehuddle. This place gives some QBs more excuses than .... well ... there is no comparison. The Huddle treats some of their QBs with kid gloves.
  3. Couldn't decide between Asheville and Charleston. Went with the one with more bikinis in the end.
  4. Well yeah ... my point is we shouldn't go easy on Verge just because she's female. We're allowed to say her sources might be BS and her past info has led to nothing. Anything with ill will toward her, well yes ... time-outs or bans. That's your job. Or Linville's.
  5. I'll never get the "his ceiling is the highest" BS on AR. His passing accuracy is average right now, his footwork is average right now, his experience is below average right now. He can run it like crazy, yes. He has a huge arm, yes. He is in freak shape, yes. But none of that makes a great QB. Right now his ceiling is hoping he can even be as good as Young and Stroud are today. And if he will get better, they will too. His ceiling has zero to do with his QB skills. Just his athleticism. It's like signing a young LeBron James away from the NBA and trying to get him to be a star QB. It's insane. Young has a MUCH higher ceiling if you can just put some weight on him which is asking much less than with AR. Helping Stroud outside of the pocket is harder, but still much easier than teaching AR how to be an accurate QB. QBs throw it first and foremost, and Young and Stroud will always ... always be better than AR at that.
  6. I'd laugh if we drafted Levis with the 1st, started Dalton for the first half of the season, and signed Sam Darnold as backup just to see CamWhoaaCam go back to wherever he came from a mere three months ago.
  7. We're not trading back. You really think we can outsmart other professional organizations like were playing 4D chess?
  8. I can name six of you who would LOVE for AR to be the pick for the sole reason I'll leave this forum if it happens lol.
  9. EVERYONE on this board gets flack at one point or another. Don't treat her like some fragile woman. Jesus. She can speak up for herself.
  10. I will admit, I love the diehard fandom homers give toward Cam. Respect. You will die on your rock. Meanwhile, like any diva WR in recent history who makes a scene on social media or in public, other NFL fans want to steer clear. Teams too. Cam is no different IMHO. But yeah, you guys keep backing your boy no matter what. Props.
  11. I like how B has the least negatives (especially since he took out size). Tell us you want Young without telling us you want Young. I vote for A.
  12. You can count on one hand how many reporters out there you can trust ... and even they are in the clickbait and clout game. But you go on thinking they're out there sneaking news to us common folk like a spy, and if we're on the social media we can know before other people do. You're so smart!
  13. When the source is from inside the organization, and the reporter is a respected and experienced one, they say: "sources within the organization on conditions of anonymity". This is not so the reporter can continue to get some SUPER SECRET SCOOP each week. This is so that source does not lose their job. Now comes the Twitter Reporter, where any tom, dick, or harry can try and make a name for themselves. Any of us could start an account and retweet news, get followers, try and break new news, etc. And as you do this, you'll come across other reporters like yourself. You build a network. Some of these reporters have lines to players, former players, team aides (not coaches), etc. NONE of those people know ANYTHING. Yet they "hear something" or "have a feeling" (or my favorite: "I think") and they share it with said reporter in normal conversation. They do not hop on the line and text the reporter something outright, nor does the reporter text "what do you know!?". It's organic. And when a nugget ... because let's be honest that's all it is, comes in a text, said reporter knows they have something that (drumroll please) will get them CLICKS, FOLLOWERS, LIKES, CLOUT, and RETWEETS. But out of respect to "journalism" lol, they add that their nuggest came from a "source". It's a buzzword. It's clickbait. And It's all BS. If any reporter, respected or not, had THE scoop or THE truth ... it would be something along the lines of: I have confirmation from inside the organization (blah blah blah) and they'd put their rep on the line for what they're telling us is factual. Not one of these Twitter Reporters know anything ... not even our very own Verge. All they know are someone else's opinion, and rumor. Hell, we used to think Zod knew secrets about the team but wasn't allowed to tell us, lol. I myself even knew things. And you know what? I told you all where I heard it. One of the team's internists (now retired) was very close friends with my mom and stepdad, Dr. Rob (Heyer). And even he only knew what players would tell him during treatment. That is how it works. Rant over.
  14. Just curious, are you a Bama fan?
  15. 10? Nah, man. 10 of can he still play. We'll have 10 more after that of dude's crying about how the team did him dirty, ruined him, stole our chances at multiple Super Bowls, etc. Things will cool off in 20 years.
  16. Young: If they can't see me, they can't judge me.
