If we picking a LB in the second we gotta take Cooper, I'm all for Wilson if he's available in the 3rd
You should read Wilson and Coopers scouting report. When you read Wilson, it sounds like scouts are talking bout Luke Keuchly. Cooper may be more athletic but he apparently has off field issues and poor character.

It's great that fans and the media aren't excited, this usually translates well to success in the season. Remember last year where there was so much talk and hype about our staff and having #1 pick and we were supposed to be a playoff team? Well, look how that turned out.
I'm glad no one is giving us a chance, our own fans included, watch us win 2 games in a row and everyone will say we are playoff contenders.

Calvin Ridley is not worth that big time contact. You know Jefferson is smiling watching avg WR cash in. Rumor has it that JJ wants more than $30+ mill per year, he wants QB money!

The plan is to get him to perform at the stadium. That’s Teppers main concern.
Luke Combs will not perform on turf. He'll only play on grass!

CB is a desperate need, do you guys really expect Jaycee Horn to play a full season?
-
good signing, is Shaq safe too? Also, we need to draft this Peyton Wilson LB from NC State. He is Luke Kuechly's protege and clone!

Dan Morgan really loves these hog mollies. Is that you Gettlemen?

I miss Ryan Kalil and Jordan Gross.

Of course it would be, it's always about money. They are super proud that they raised ticket prices for next year too!

In Brandt Tilis we trust!!!!

He wants $30 mill per year, Panthers previously offered $27 per year and that would have made him 3rd highest at his position. If we are going to give Hurney hell for his bloated contracts in the past. Morgan better not sign Burns for that much. Burns has not earned that money. Brandt Tilis, this is what you were hired to do! It'll be very interesting how Tilis handles this too.

His offseason plan is to read every post on the Huddle that doubts him...lol. It'll either make him or break him.

Trent Brown hasn't been very good outside of NE. Didn't he sign with the Raiders and bombed with them? Despite the criticism of BB, he knows how to get his players to out perform their actual talent level.

I mean, he should be a first ballot HOFer. I think Luke is technically the best football player Carolina has ever had. Others played more entertaining positions. Luke technically the best at his craft vs how good others were at theirs.
I think he made an impact at a diminished position (MLB) in today's NFL. Unless you're a rushing OLB, you don't get the same money or fame. Luke even outplayed and performed his MLB position. I believe someone compared Patrick Willis stats to Luke and if Patrick can get in then Luke is guaranteed HOF too.

We're last in our division because our owner is busy throwing drinks on fans too!

It's a very short video but I think this is very telling of how there has been a lack of leadership and culture on the current Panthers. These 2 Panthers Legends talk about how competitive and how driven the 2015 Super Bowl team was. They even name drop former players. Everyone wanted to "compete." I think our current players are unmotivated and lack that fire or lack that leadership. Too many nice guys saying "it's ok, we'll get them next time." I really hope Dan Morgan can find our next generation of players who have what it takes to win.

The Panthers must be kicking themselves for letting him go....see what I did there? I'll see myself out...

I'd like to be a fly on the wall in some of his interviews. I think Morgan will do well to bring that dawg out in his interviews.
Morgan seems like a no nonsense dude. He is a former player and will know if you're just BS-ing your way through or not motivated to be a great player. He's not looking for dudes whose dream is to play in the NFL, but for dudes what want to be in the hall of fame!

I'm more interested in seeing who the team is sniffing around and how this year will be different than the last one.
Dan Morgan's only interview question to draft prospects: "On a scale of 1 to 10, how much of a Dawg are you?"
That's what's going to be different from last year lol

Best route runner, good hands and smart? Which one would you choose?
I know McConkey has been generating a lot of hype at the senior bowl despite his lack of production in college, but he can separate. I think the other guys are more athletic and with a higher ceiling. I just don't know if McConkey is that much different from what we have in Adam Theilan. My hope is that he is the next Cooper Kupp!

Of course, any particular names that come to mind. Especially those that are necessarily 1st round picks.
I think some of the late 1st round - 2nd rd WRs. McConkey, Adonai Mitchell, Xavior Worthy, Troy Franklin, etc

To have a dynasty franchise, you need generational/hall of fame players like the Chiefs and Patriots did. The Panthers are a long ways from even making the playoffs. We actually had a window of opportunity in generational talent like Cam and Luke. But we had an average coaching staff unlike Reid and Belichek.

For CMC, we got WR Jonathan Mingo, Edge DJ Johnson, and G Chandler Zavala and a 2024 5th rounder
Well, here is to hoping that the 2024 5th rounder turns out to be a hall of fame player! That'll make up for the loss of CMC.
