  1. I wouldn't be mad at this. For everyone who doesn't like him as a person, remember Roman Harper? He took shots at Steve Smith as a Saints player but he played pretty well for us. I don't hate anybody that can make the Panthers better. Besides, I think we need something different to Chubba, he is mostly ground and pound but we need someone with more wiggle and explosive.
  2. Remember the days when Rhule said said his arms were too short to play LT? Ah the buffoon that Rhule was.
  3. Dan is adding first round talent to this team! Phillips, Lloyd, and even Pickett were all first rounders. We're not so devoid of talent now. Have a good draft this year and our foundation can be in place for the next 5 years. Canales and Evero have no excuses for next year. I EXPECT playoffs for next year.
  4. It makes logical sense but BC has had an injury history too. I think he's had 2 season ending injuries during his tenure here.
  5. Dan the Man has a plan! Since Dan has taken over, he has been aggressive in tackling each team's weakness every offseason. O-line year one, D-line year 2, Pass rush year 3.
  6. If we're converting him to TE, he needs to be working with Shannon Sharpe and not Chad Ochocinco then! lol
  7. I'm not 100% convinced with this, for example he drafted XL based on athletic traits. XL only had one year of production at USC. I'll at least give him credit for drafting T-Mac based on production. Overall, Morgan has drafted more contributors to this team during his tenure than Fitterer. I remain hopeful he'll continue to upgrade the roster.
  8. https://x.com/Sheena_Marie3/status/2020188012945240397?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed|twterm^2020188012945240397|twgr^a9a544fadd8738a95a60e9c6334706c089be2934|twcon^s1_c10&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fpantherswire.usatoday.com%2Fstory%2Fsports%2Fnfl%2Fpanthers%2F2026%2F02%2F07%2Fnfl-panthers-xavier-legette-chad-ochocinco%2F88571801007%2F
  9. I'm usually a nerd when it comes to the draft, however I haven't paid any attention to this year's draft class. My general sense is that it's a weak class? There aren't any blue chip prospects or generational talents it seems like.
  10. I think Darnold and Baker are great examples that's it's more than just the player. The Panthers organization during their tenures here was absolute trash. Both of these guys took 4-5 years to develop, bounce to multiple teams, and finally be placed in a great scenario for them to succeed. Structure and organization is more important than the player some times. Look what Patriots did this year, their roster was devoid of talent last year but you find the right coaching organization, add a few players in free agency and they are in the Super Bowl. These examples make me feel like we need to give Bryce more time to prove himself. If we let Bryce walk and he succeeds else where like Darnold and Baker, then it's the organization's fault and we can have Mahomes as our QB and it wouldn't even matter.
  11. This is the biggest issue with drafting athletes vs actual football players. The NFL combine has just exploded in media attention and popularity so everyone is hyped on a players traits. Who cares how big you are or how fast you run if you don't have the ball in your hands. Anthony Richardson is the perfect example of this.
  12. I remember watching Shannon Sharpe and Chad Ochocinco's YouTube podcast and Chad literally invited XL to come work out with him for 1 month. I think XL should take him up on that offer, his career depends on it.
  13. I'm staring to do research on the off ball linebacker class this year because I think we need a captain of the defense like the Luke days. Sonny Styles, Anthony Hill, CJ Allen are some names to keep an eye on. These guys seem to have the same traits of being instinctive, playmakers, and solid tacklers like Luke.
  14. These stats don't mean anything. It doesn't correlate to winning the actual football game at all. Bryce played better than Caleb Williams according to stats but Willams won. Jordan Love played better than Bryce but lost. Everyone is so focused that one player makes the whole team. Yes the QB is the most important position, but there are 21 other guys who influence the game too.
  15. Evero plays a lot of zone coverage more than any DC. I think his philosophy is to play it safe and let them make mistakes, an opportunistic defense. Being so zone heavy, I actually think he greatly relies on an effective pass rush with only 4 guys and he doesn't like to blitz to create chaos. However, our pass rush is so poor and so that's why we get gashed for big chunk pass plays. I think Dan will work hard to upgrade our pass rush, Dan has attacked a team weakness every single off season.
  16. I think drafting a tackle in the first round is the more logical move. Rookie can start at LT with Ickey possibly missing a large portion to start next year. We also have to start looking at Motons replacement beyond next year too.
  17. Rude has shown that he has the ability to win and play great games. It 100% only comes down to consistency for next year. If freaking Mayfield and Darnold can turn it around, I believe Bryce can too.
  18. The team played very hard tonight, nobody can deny that. I was even expecting a blowout by the Rams but we had every chance for a win. Our defense gave up the most points in the NFL history last year and we made the playoffs this year, hellava season for the team!
  19. Very proud of this team for this year. We didn’t even expect playoffs but we got in, and we played competitively to the end! We are also a young team, I’m already ready for next year!!
  20. Hey, I’m proud of the team for this game. They played hard and this has been the most fun I’ve had in a long time!
  21. I have a hard time believing that Canales will ever give up OC duties. I think he knows that his success as a HC is directly tied to his play calling. Why would you risk your job and put it in another person's hands? He is going to sink or swim based on his play calling.
