Honestly wondering if there isn't some truth to this. He looked horrible in the preseason and then they'd interview him on the sidelines and he acted like everything was just great. Like bro, you looked like a speed bump out there tonight.
OI am talking about when Brady comes off IR or next year. This would give him the offseason to work on his new position. It can't be any worse.

Maybe we switch him to Left Guard and let Brady take back over Left Tackle since he is really having problems with speed rushers.

Not sure I remember a more significant sophomore slump. Wtf happened to this guy?
Last year we were run first and his run blocking was his forte in college not his pass blocking.

The reviews got to his head from last year. He is seeing what the reality is in the NFL. What you did last year doesn't count as it did in college.

I don't think I have ever lost faith in a player in a single play like I did there.
How do you let a 34 year old defensive back just destroy you on the most important play of the game? I've never seen that happen to a franchise left tackle before
Is it time to start thinking he's not the answer? He's sucked all year
He hasn't lived up to expectations has he. @nd year blues. We need to see what happens after next year to see how he does.

Maybe next week we start Dalton. At least it gives us a chance to win.

When can we move on from Young
In 5 years...maybe. Will be a good backup one day.

We need to fire Reich, promote Evero, bench Young for the year and start Dalton. This Reich/Young combo is not working out.
I said that last week and i was told to shut up.

Bryce is Jimmy Clausen.
I thought it was supposed to be his break out game. Dalton should have started.

I think we are all selling Bryce too short after a couple subpar performances. I think injury real or not the game off probably did him well.
honestly hearing him talk about it I kind of think it wasn't even real or serious and they wanted him on the sideline for a game.
This is a big game for Bryce and I think he shows up.
I don't have the confidence in him from the last 4 times I seen him play. Why should a benching make him want to play better. Not saying he can't get better but confidence at this time in him doing so has not impressed me all that much.

Whats fluff about this?? i am just trying to be optimistic. And Young should be playing with a sense of urgency now
Why does Byrce need to play with since of urgency? He is going to be handed the ball no matter how he plays.

I’m not sold on Love at all. He’s barely completing 50% of his passes through three games.
I didn't say I was either. My point is that Young needs to see how the Pro game is played . He saw what Dalton can do with the same line he has. Young in a year or 2 could be a fine QB but today he sucks and ruining his confidence because he has to play is not worth it. in 4 or 5 games let him go out on the field and sling it around. See how he does. If he is having the same problems as today sit him again. He didn't learn anything but having him get killed. We saw what happen to Carr when he was pounded on for a solid two years in Texas. He was a number one pick also. How did that work for him.

Love went 26 and was a project. They spent 2 1st and a starting WR in his prime to pick Young who's giant positive was he was pro-ready. Closes thing to Young sitting would be Lance at 3 who sat behind Jimmy G who had been taking them to the playoffs and he was a giant project coming from a covid riddled year. I don't know about any other QBs picked 1st sitting recently except for extremally poor performances. I'm going to look that up.
Sorry Young is not ready to play either. I don't care what they spent for him. It was too much. We should have taken CJ then. He has 2 wins. Young is zero and two. Just because we spent doesn't mean he has to start. That is the propaganda the NFL sells you. Young is not ready, or his performance would have been better in the two games he has played.
-
Sitting didn't seem to hurt Love in Green Bay did it. He even had his troubles too, but he did lead Green Bay back from a 17 point deficit did he not. Young is not ready. Maybe later.

Players usually come back when they are healthy. If Young is cleared he will play.
Shame but if he does then expect another loss. We have a chance with Dalton.

A hell of a lot easier when you’re playing a trash defense that’s missing guys.
Seattle was missing guys too. Our defense got tired in the 4th quarter and once the team couldn't move the ball the flood gates open and they couldn't stop Seattle.
-
Should be the same call this week and let Dalton play. It will be the perfect week to get on the winning side and give the team some confidence going forward for the 2nd quarter of the season. Doi you really think that a one game sit and Young is going to come out and set the world on fire in the NFL.

And yet...
361 yards, 2 TDs, 0 turnovers for Dalton.
Dalton balled out Sunday in Seattle. It will be the best thing for the team to say Young is not ready to go and Andy will be starting. Might be best to put him on IR as they did with Corral last year. At least our tackles won't be "False Starting" since the crowd will be silent when we have the ball. They will be able to hear the snap count.

They have the most talented offense in the NFL. We traded our only legit WR and a ton of draft capital to go get our franchise QB. When you make a move like that it's because you think you're getting a guy that you don't have to surround with elite talent because your ability to do so is going to be severely limited. We're going to have to be wizards in FA and the mid-late rounds to make this experiment work.
Ultimately, yeah I think the Tua comparison is apt but our ability to recreate what the Dolphins have is going to be a real uphill battle.
They picked the wrong QB then. Tepper wanted Young and there was not going to be any questions asked. Maybe after 2 years on the bench watching he might be a damn good QB, but Young is not ready for Prime Time at this stage in his career. We watch Love from Green Bay sit on the bench for 2 years and learn the position. Maybe in two years we will have a line that can block and open holes for the running backs.

We know our boy Scotty loves to wheel and deal, so you know his trigger finger is itching to make a deal we will later regret right about now.
Our most valuable assets are probably:
- Burns
- Brown
- Chinn
We don't have a first round pick next year, the cupboard is pretty bare. Pretend you are Scott Fitterer and you are tasked with unfuging the current situation you helped create. What are the best trade packages that you can come up with that might help this team this year and into the future?
I would trade all 3, but if you are looking for just a 1. Burns would be the choice.
Just how BAD is Bryce Young?

Why it isn't the acceptable choice by many. Sitting Bryce is not a bad idea. Admitting he isn't ready to be a NFL starting QB is not bad. Gives him time to learn. We got him for 5 years. By year 3 he should be leading this team. Right now, he is nowhere near ready.
