I loathe everything this franchise has become
it happens when you put cheap pieces into slots that aren't ready to produce a quality product.

Probably an effective way of viewing the upcoming class, is assuming Corral is part of it.
So far (imo):
1. Young (the size kills me tho)
2. Corral (talent is there. Good feet. Release, arm, mobility are ideal. Fragility may be a problem.)
3. Stroud (need to evaluate more, but surrounding talent is worrisome. Young plays with better “feel”)
4. Levis (looks raw but physically he has it all)
5. Hooker (older, so could be mentally and physically more developed than opponents)
This isn’t in stone for me, and there is inescapable bias toward Corral that I’m trying to avoid in evaluating these guys, but it’s only natural that it would be there.
The more I watch Young, the more I like him. I don’t care about stats, or the plays when he has 5 seconds to throw (aside from his ability to go through reads), but he can throw off platform, from the pocket and on the move, his release is Corral fast at times when he needs to make a quick throw, he has great feet and feel for the game, plenty of arm, and has shown accuracy and touch at all levels.
Curious what your rankings would be, and any justifications you would like to share.
Are there any Juniors who might be coming out who would be ready, or do we keep PJ as a starter for one more year, keep Baker or Sam for another year as a backups, and let Corral have another year of being 3rd string and gaining maturity he did not show this past summer.

It was a great game. The team fought all day and we had chances to put them away but mistakes hurts us especially the last kick we had to win the game. Silly mistakes young teams make, but we could have won the game. It is life but I enjoyed the grit and termination this team left on the field.

It’s going to take at least 2 first round middle fingers.
You can always get a good pass rusher with those picks, or even two of them with one of those picks and one outside the first round.

guess i am a size whore, pass
right now team/space ship levis
Cam was a decent size QB and how many times did his passes get blocked at the line of scrimmage?

At least it can't get any worse. Reminds me of the time Green went after an Assistant during Capers time. Sad to see a franchise fall as far as this one has. Reminds me of how bad the Pittsburg Steelers were in the 60's and 70's.

Don't keep your hopes up because he will be here till end of season or more.
more than likely you are correct. At least we are in the running for the Number 1 pick in the next draft.

Looks like Rhule is losing the players. The college coach just doesn't have the ability to run an NFL organization.

And I was heavily pushing the Baker hype in the offseason. He is ass, man. I've tried to be patient, but the poo he is missing is EASY. Those are the throws that are afterthoughts for franchise QBs. That extends that deive there... easy pass. Instead, it's incomplete and we give them the ball back. Hard to generate consistent offense when you can't sustain drives bc the QB can't hit easy throws.
At least we are only paying 5 million.

I hate to be a negative Pelosi but...I have serious doubts that he is our long term solution.
Wondering if he will be back up material.

I know it's extremely early. Book isn't written and corral isn't around to defend himself. But, looking at the flashes every other peer in his tier is putting up(cough Willis, pickett, ridder) did we really miss here?
I think you are right. We could have had Howell, but I think having two hometown rookies on the roster would have been too much for the fan base to handle.

Lol. Everyone gets praise and critique except Neal. “He is big” is basically the analysis. Hahah
Would you been disappointed if we had chosen Neal instead of Ekwonu?
-
I think Cross and Ekwonu were the two best LT's in this years draft, but we could've had anyone of them and not disappointed in our pick,

I think the main problem right now is he showed nothing in this game. Every facet of his game was bad, which is shocking to fans.
Sam just looked better and seemed to know what to do. I will give him the benefit that it was nerves, but I think we should have taken Sam in the 3rd, but I think Grier left a bad taste in Rhule mouth and picking a hometown fave wasn't in the cards again.

I will be laughing at any team that gives up picks for the rights to have Payton be their HC.
The guy had a HoF QB for 15 years and won 1 super bowl. That is like somebody trading picks for McCarthy.
The only reason Tepper would want him he would keep the Panthers in the playoff hunt while he is here.

if we have to give up that for him. NO!

I think it would be great to have him here. He can work wonders with a QB. Just look at what he did with Brees,
-
I see him lining up the suitors and the one with the best players and money will win.

I just thought this article was too interesting not to share: https://footballbowler.com/web-stories/nfl-world-reacts-to-sean-payton-expected-return/
Sean said, he does not know where. However, the Miami herald list Carolina Panthers as a possible landing spot.
I wonder how Saints fans would feel?
I have heard that Jerry wants him for America's Team next year and willing to fork out the cash for him.

A new season is here with high hopes and expectations. et's hope our new Offensive line will be better and can protect the QB. We can't get any lower than the past two years. LLets have an exciting QB battle or at least who ever we want wins and can stay healthy. let's hope the Defense can stay as healthy as it needs top and we get a full year to see what our young DB's can do. It will be an exciting year and hope we can get a winning record out of this year. GO PANTHERS!

If Brady can actually hold down the LT spot allowing Icky to smash at LG, then that would be awesome.
I Brady is playing it will be LG and if Icky gets hurt sliding to tackle to take his pace. Brady is the LG of the future.
Motion: refer to Laviska Shenault as LVS moving forward

Now that is a good one. Love Greenville and the Attic. Thank God never got one either.
